Liberty Slots Casino & English Harbour Similarities

also not sure about affiliates but.....

I don't know about players but there are affiliates who weren't paid.

they bent over backwards to pay me and ended up sending me a target store gift certificate that paid me the small amount they owed me.
I think that was a sign of good faith.

instead of deposting elsewhere decided to redeposit some of my winnings and......

Yea! Good job footdr! I am always amazed how some of you guys just win random big hits on slots like that. I have no idea how to do that:what:what:

my previous withdrawal of $1600 is now up to a withdrawal of $2900.00 with a balance of 129.00 to continue to play with. Awesome:thumbsup:

It confirms Canadian's can't play, and ALSO confirms where the new owner/operator is based;) - since they pretty much allow every US state where no specific law exists to prohibit the act of gambling, even though UIGEA prohibits them taking deposits and paying players. They also seem to allow Israeli and Turkish players, despite specific laws there to make online gambling illegal. Canada on the other hand, simply have no law making it specifically LEGAL, yet they are scared of going anywhere near Canadian players, thus, Canada can be the only country where they ARE vulnerable to the attentions of law enforcement.

Other bans on Canadian players have tended to be accompanied by a total ban on US players as well, lumping both countries together because of their close cooperation. Neteller don't allow Canadian gamblers because they are based in Canada, and Rival banned Canadian players because the owners lived there.

I agree, I just wonder where, they have always been very tight lipped, as for Rival I knew the whole fiasco and heard first hand from a source close to Rival here in my home town.

Ottawa, at least for some of them I understand from court papers filed by a marketing company in a legal dispute with Rival some time ago....

I had posed a question sometime back

What happens to the progressive jackpots now that EH is shutting down? No one had a good answer, oh well.

Someone appears to be telling fibs on the Liberty Slots issue - this has just appeared here:

"Vegas Technology confirmed today that online casino Liberty Slots will be functioning with a .eu domain, bringing its well liked titles back online. The press release states the similarity between Liberty Slots and the English Harbour group of online casinos is “obvious”, and the site is designed much the same.

"Manager for Liberty Slots online casino, George Jones, said: “Cleopatra’s Pyramid is a classic online slot machine that’s been popular for many years. So, we’re very glad to be able to bring it back for online casino players everywhere. Judging by the feedback we’ve had so far, a lot of players are pretty happy to have a place to play Agent Cash and Real Deal too and so are we.”

"The company confirmed that tournaments will run each month on the Vegas Technology platform offering over 100 slot games....."

It looks as if these guys need to get their story straight!

As if affiliates were not already pissed off enough, this press release is only going to confirm that there was never any sale of Vegas Technology and winding up of the company, there is no new software supplier, and that most likely the marketing WAS driven in part from EH player lists, resulting in affiliates who originally brought these players to EH being removed from the equation.
It also confirms that the rep came here with the intention of "spinning", rather than telling the truth, but two different departments both responsible for "spin" released different stories to their respective audiences.

Since Vegas Technology has NOT gone bust, been sold, etc, what about:-

1) Those that remain unpaid, both players and affiliates.
2) The player contribution to the progressive jackpot pools that were not awarded at the time "old" Vegas technology shut down.
3) Who TOLD the rep to come here and invent excuses for all the oddities that were there BY DESIGN, and in doing so creating ficticious "web designers" and "third party marketing companies" as convenient scapegoats.

A relaunch of well liked and missed software ruined by the sowing of mistrust among players and affiliates through a web of deception during the "soft launch" phase. Now those with a claim against EH are going to pursue Liberty Slots for their money, as they are clearly one and the same, and may consider the purpose of this deception was mainly to allow "old" vegas Technology and EH to bail out from it's obligations and relaunch with fresh livery, but without going through a proper and fair liquidation process to ensure creditors received a fair partial recovery of their outstanding monies.

Dodgy businesses over here do this all the time, and sometimes they get caught and get named and shamed by Trading Standards, and one of the many consumer rights focussed TV series. Why would lightly regulated online casinos be any different?

People need to do their research before posting. The article posted on CalvinAyre.com is NOT an official press release. It is an article written by an individual who clearly did not do their research either.

The official press release was from Lyceum Media:

Liberty Slots has revived some of the most popular online slot machines in its online casino: Cleopatra’s Pyramid, Agent Cash and Real Deal. Casino bonuses available.

Sorry for not posting earlier on the Canadian player question, I have been traveling the last few days and was just jumping on today to see what's been going on.

Unfortunately we cannot accept Canadian players due to a restriction placed on us by the software provider.

It's odd that this rule was carried over to the new company when Vegas Technology sold the software. Why would a new company want to be saddled with a policy from the old that bars them from a VERY significant market (Canada), considered to be second only to the US in terms of players and potential players.

I would have expected the new software company to have registered itself offshore in order to avoid the legal worries that scared the original Vegas Technology away from the Canadian market.

Unfortunately, carrying this restriction over to the new company makes it look like the owners of Vegas Technology are STILL very much involved with the new entity, perhaps having used company law to sell the remaining assets to themselves, absorbing them into a new company they set up for the purpose of continuing to own the software, but cut all corporate ties with the old company.

I expect people will just carry on digging.

This press release should have gone out earlier and more widely, to ensure that it got seen BEFORE the pseudo press release posted on Calvin Ayre's site. The casino has been around for a while, and it should have been obvious that even in a soft launch word would spread, and questions would be asked about the similarities with EH.

Whilst the new company is no longer Vegas Technology, it has no public face, hence it is being called "Vegas Technology" because it is licensing the software it bought from them, and is currently using the testing certificates belonging to Vegas Technology, having yet to get them in the name of the new company.

Much of the confusion could have been avoided by NOT simply resurrecting the EH website with edited content, but instead building a new site from scratch, and offering the software as "returning under new ownership by popular demand". The familiar slots could have been prominent on the new site to show players they were getting their favourite games back again.

Excellent statement Vinyl. Couldn't have said it better myself. :notworthy

I expect that is exactly what will happen, for all the reasons VWM has expressed so eloquently, and because this "new" software provider is so shrouded in apparent secrecy.;)

ok, i have made a withdraw, i have sendet the normally needed documents. My ID and a actual bill. i have depositet with Neteller. I have received a email, that they need again a screenshot from my netelleraccount. Anyone have sending a screenshot from his ewallet for verfication? All casinos that i play only need my ID and a actual bill (when i pay with creditcard than need a screenshot from this).

This is unusual, but not unheard of. In the past, casinos have always said "we do not accept screenshots", and this has been on the grounds that they are easily faked, and often don't show the postal address.

It shouldn't even be necessary with Neteller, since the casino will be able to verify the account directly with Neteller, and evidence shows that casinos and Neteller have an uncomfortably close level of cooperation for us players already. Moneybookers are the same, quite happy to "charge back" a paid withdrawal if the casino comes along later to say the player didn't play fair, even if fully within the terms.

The one thing that might be triggering such requests is where the deposits come from an "express" Neteller account that has yet to be connected to a bank account and "verified" for bank wire withdrawals.

Thought I would check these guys out.

Installed, and asked the chat person about bonuses etc.

Interestingly, the chat rep was Andreas with whom I used to deal with at English Harbour. Oh, and the quirky bonus terms are exactly the same as EH too.

I guess it could be a coincidence

Can you be certain this was the SAME Andreas?

Even if it was, it proves only that a single member of EH support moved to a job with another operator, an obvious move for someone out of work because their employer has ceased trading.

If ALL the new staff are old EH staff, you would have a point.

If there is a deception here, it WILL be found out in the end.

It always surprises me that folks who should know better repeatedly underestimate the ability of players to see through deception and dig out the truth. Then it's just embarrassing as well as being bad for business...

Finally ended my play and redeposits.....

Went from $1600.00 to $3000.00 final cashout after playing redeposits over weekend. Sent my final documents Monday and withdrawal via Courier Ck already processed.

Pretty good and I love their slots. Glad their back!

Congrats on the win. I love their slots also and have missed playing them since EH stopped their business.

Let us know when check ARRIVES. Am interested to hear time frame of receiving check from what appears to be a 11/28 approval date? If you don't mind, please tell when check actually arrives at your home.

THanks,
Diane

***From one PLAYER to another . . . *** WELL SAID X-Raided!

I'm a player not an affiliate. I'm the customer at the restaurant that ordered what I expect to be a good dish.
Affiliates are the hosts that took my reservation and seated me. The casinos are the owners/managers. Customer Service
could be the chefs.

What I'm trying to say is that I really don't care much how the restaurant is paying the hosts, Or the drama that is
going on in the restaurant... I just care if the dish I ordered is served in a timely manner, is safe to eat, and tastes good...

IMHO, the more affiliates an online casino has the more contradictions occur about that said online casino. Look at the attacks
that Liberty Slots has had due to affiliates emotions. We have not yet seen any occurrences that the casino did not pay an eligible winner.

Nice analogy. As a player and not involved in affiliate marketing of any kind, I am concerned about only this:

1) Do I like the Software Platform and enjoy the variety of games?
2) Is the software truly RANDOM whether I have bet 1 cent or One Thousand Dollars?
3) Do they provide acceptable Customer Service (forget about excellence since it does not exist in the business to my knowledge)?
4) Are the payouts reasonably prompt?
5) Do I and can I win there?

If I were involved in affiliate marketing I'm quite sure I would feel differently but I'm not.
