    Dear Cindy,

I would like to take this opportunity to personally write to you regarding the recent decision not to release new games to players in the US.

This decision was made by our software provider and unfortunately, is beyond our control. Due to a miscommunication, we were not aware of this change in policy before the weekend, or we certainly would have notified you in advance. For this I apologize.

Please rest assured, this does not reflect any change in the Jackpot Factory's policies regarding US customers. Our US players are always welcome and will continue to receive the same great casino service they have come to expect. I hope you will continue to take advantage of the wide variety of games at our casinos, and enjoy good luck and have a great time playing.

If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at This email is not visible to you.. I will do my best to reply personally to all emails but I do ask for your patience.

Remember, you can get regular updates about the casino at my blog - You must register/login in order to see the link..

    All the best,

    David Brickman
    Vice President of Player Affairs

    This is totally illogical:confused:

This has involved extra programming, and for what:confused: The new games are NOT progressive, they are just "normal" games. Making them available to US players will make no difference to deposits and withdrawals from existing US players, nor will the new games attract NEW players from the US, since this is not allowed.

Existing US players will now be using an earlier version of the client, because they will no longer get the update. Oddly enough, WE were told these updates were COMPULSORY for "security reasons" when a while back the player community wanted changes that would permit players to CHOOSE whether or not to accept an update, or continue playing with a previous client version, since the update process tended to render the client unusable for 1 to 2 hours before the most recent file configuration was released. It STILL takes hours for those on a dial-up, or slow broadband, connection.

Maybe there is an agenda behind this, it is possible that eventually MGS will instruct operators to ditch ALL US players. This move indicates some kind of "phasing out" approach, perhaps to allow operators time to adjust, rather than an overnight loss of ALL their US players, as was the case with Crypto and Playtech. Certainly, a lack of new games from now on will cause some US players to drift away from the brand, and find another that is still giving them new games.

My thought too. It appears we should be on alert that usa players may possibly be closed out. There was also not much warning when Micro closed to new us players. If it does happen I will not be surprised.

This move to restrict new regular games to us in the US has greatly dissapointed me yet again with Micrgogamming. I have therefore in my own way phased them out. They are now no longer a place I will play, just on principle.

This illustrates my point. How many other US players will feel this way, feeling unwanted by the brand's no longer giving them new games.

Microsoft use this exact same strategy to move users over to new operating systems, they withdraw the update facility for the older ones, including SECURITY related ones.

It'll be a year or two before I get around to trying all of MGs existing games. I just scrolled through the first three pages of MGs slots list (18/pg) and counted 34 slots I have never played out of the first 54 listed, alone. So if there's 12 pages (plus a bit) of slots that's around 220 and as 34 is around 60% of 54 that means there's a grand total of......a whole lot a slots I've never played yet. I never even check out the new slots when they showcase 'em. If they hadn't said US Players wouldn't be getting any new games, I doubt I'd notice.

I found another thread on this subject, and it seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. There has been UTTER CONFUSION over this, and there is STILL some doubt as to whether this is the case, or it is a "technical issue" delaying the release of the "normal" new games to US players.

Where some US players might notice is where casinos run promotions based on the new games. US players will be excluded from such promotions if they cannot play the featured games. Exclusion from promotions is a disincentive to continue playing, and would itself have the effect of deterring many players with these "Grandfather rights" from continuing to exercise them. The other thread also discusses evidence of a "secret" exclusion of US players from "random draw" type promotions, despite these US players fulfilling the published criteria, and NOTHING being said about them being excluded, either individually, or as a group.

Crypto and Playtech screwed you overnight, MGS seems to be doing it slowly over time:rolleyes:

I have some sympathy with operators over this. It's not their fault they have been placed in this ridiculous position. After all MD's have ended up in jail over this gambling legislation fiasco.

Let me say right off the bat, JPF is the ONLY casino group to send me a notice/explanation. Thank you!

Now... would Bryan or someone who can get in touch with someone at MG please tell us WTF is going on?

Personally... I'm afraid to leave any money in any onlne casino overnight -- especially MG. Who knows when they'll pull the plug completely?

    Sheesh...

I received the same email. I completely feel as you do.
When the hell is someone gonna get the balls the American players do and say fk it, it's our money we will do with it what the hell we want. My bank agees with me. They know I do it, they allow it and they keep a good eye on it for me.
JPF as well as anyone that don't have the balls to stand up for their players are not worthy of my money any longer period ! It is a business, I am a customer therefore you should ALWAYS make sure you do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. You know the ones, the ones that help pay your salaries. Little by little, this WILL effect EVERYONE. The loss of the peeps over this and the loss long ago when they banned us ( which we all have saw a huge change in the play )will only cause them to become desperate and manipulate the games even more so other countries players can't win shit to make up for all the losses.

YOU SITE(S) ALLOWING THIS NEED TO GRAB SOME BALLS AND TELL THEM IT IS NOT SMART DOING WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND IN THE END EVERYONE LOSES ! ESPECIALLY THEM !!! WHAT THE HELL GOOD IS NEW GAMES IF NOBODY IS LEFT TO PLAY THEM DUE TO ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED ?

PS: You better believe I told them EXACTLY how I feel ~!!!!

I'm surprised more US players aren't voicing their concerns over this and are possibly still playing. I cannot in good conscience play at MCG casinos due to this slighting. I loaded my net card today and just couldn't bring myself to deposit at PP. I looked at my other choices and stated why in the hell did I even put money on it.

I'm with the other poster. I have phased them out and it wasn't hard to do. I can't take this crap anymore.

Not to play Devil's advocate, but I would kill to play at an MG casino, even though I don't play online anymore. Consider yourselves fortunate you can experience MG casinos at all.

True, but why ONLY the NEW games. It is ALL games that are viewed as illegal. I very much doubt an MG operator would be spared jail if they used "Oh, but our US players were NOT permitted to play the NEW games, just the OLD ones"

For the decision to have ANY basis in logic, it HAS to be the first part of a bigger agenda, which I think is the phasing out of taking bets from ALL US players, and in particular, intended to put them off by making the product less and less attractive to them over time. From this thread, I can see one thing:-

    IT IS WORKING!!!!!!!

This phasing out theory holds a lot of water, however with the vast amount of games US players can still play then its a process that will be very gradual.

Personally I think they want all the US players in one keep net, on the old system, and everybody else getting the updates. This begs the question, will there be a different download version for US players. Also if a new player is downloading an MG for the first time aren't all the games new to that player?

The other issue is the flash casino, when a new game is on that, will the US players simply be blocked from that new game or barred completely from the flash casino?

    Glory: Are you there?
Cryil : Presently we do not have any further information, but this is just a decision that Microgaming has taken.
Cryil : The current games are still avaibale to all our US players.
Glory: and no one is taking up for all these loyal US players
Glory: who will be denied again and again...
Glory: can you give me Ben's email address please?

Glory: ?? I asked for Ben's email and I do realize that you can only say so much and thank you.
Cryil : Glory, I do not have Ben's e-mail address, but I can get him to send you an e-mail from his e-mail address.

I don't understand how more people aren't up in arms here?

I have been VERY loyal to MG ONLY playing their casinos since about 2002... I didn't really mind about progressives as I never played them anyway....but this is to much!! First the multi-player Wheel game goes no US after I had been testing it for them at All Slots for a month or so and now this?? Without any reason or warning?

Jackpot Factory is the ONLY casino to even mention what is happening with the new games. At other casinos I am still hearing its a software glitch!!!

I feel like it's a big SLAP in the face! The only possible reason is what people have said above, that they are trying to slowly pull out of the US market. I agree EVERYONE will lose on this move.

Whoever said they already have 100's of games I have played every game MG makes and what has kept me there so Long is the steady flow of NEW games every month!

So I will be PHASING out MG casino's now since my money isn't good enough for them and will try and find another place to waste my money and where I am welcome....

I wish others would do the same and just maybe MG would notice.

Sorry a bit frustrated about this....

The problem seems to be that MGS just DON'T CARE what US players think or do. MGS have made this decision, and seem to have made it clear they are NOT prepared to either discuss or explain it. Look at this:-

Serious resistance to allowing the player to take the matter further by contacting this "Ben" directly. Similar replies from chat are seen when players are suspected of fraud, and chat are acting on instructions to "blow off" the player when they ask for more information.

I find it hard to believe that there is THIS level of IGNORANCE among operators. IF there was a software glitch reported by significant numbers of players, it would go to the technical support team, who in turn would be asking MGS about it. MGS should then be telling them it's a decision not to release the games.
Maybe these other casinos do not want to tell players right away the real reason, because they might decide to stop playing once they know for certain they would not be getting the new games. They will find out, but if they play for another month before they catch on, it's an extra month of revenue for the operator.

Operators CANNOT gain NEW US players, so they will notice the loss of those who leave because there are no more new games for them.

It might be worth US players checking the Flash casino, it may be harder to block them from the new games there.
