As a hardened gambler since the age of 13 (I'm now 51), I'm all for a complete ban of online gambling.
(Sorry).
I live in London, UK.

Quite a selfish attitude in all honesty. Some people actually have control I pay what I have to first then freely spend the rest. Why should others suffer because you say so? Might as well shackle everyone because we need some outlet, ffs.As a hardened gambler since the age of 13 (I'm now 51), I'm all for a complete ban of online gambling.

It at least needs to be moderated properly by people who know what they are looking for. Preventing shady Providers taking games down and gimping them. Yes BTG, I am looking at you.As a hardened gambler since the age of 13 (I'm now 51), I'm all for a complete ban of online gambling.

I realise that. But the amounts of times I've been at home, drinking and gambling.Quite a selfish attitude in all honesty. Rule number one don't drink and gamble. Definitely a bad combination. Something I'm highly unlikely to do. But limits and time outs can help this. Or on videoslots max bet protection to stop you betting higher mine is set at 1 euro (joined before videoslots had any other currencies)I realise that. But the amounts of times I've been at home, drinking and gambling.
Grim.
They are right though Dave and you know it.My bank sent me out a letter saying "lets talk about gambling" and a leaflet to get support how patronizing can you get?. This nannying has to stop! I discarded it as after my bills are paid I will do what the fk I like with my money.
I don't have much going on in my life right now. I don;t have a girl or dependents I barely see family due to the pandemic. I need something to occupy myself with. Something I enjoy. I don't even gamble excessively that's what angers me. They're treating me like a criminal. They are right though Dave and you know it.
You could treat yourself to a weekend away, go for a nice meal in a restaurant, etc etc.I don't have much going on in my life right now. I have pretty severe anxiety tbh so a weekend away is not an option. I only like to be in the company of those I know now. As many have let me down. As for restaurants same issue crowded with people no thank you.You could treat yourself to a weekend away, go for a nice meal in a restaurant, etc etc.
Anyway, obviously none of my business.
But just my opinion that's all. If I couldn't gamble online, I know I would be a richer man, both financially and mentally.
I think that goes for most people really, definitely me anyway.I only like to be in the company of those I know now.
But what irks me is I’m not reckless. I shouldn’t be treated as such. Unless balance is high I don’t bet more than 50p a spin do I sound like someone people need to be concerned over? One exception is party casino tournament I bet 60p as its the minimum.I think that goes for most people really, definitely me anyway.
But you get my drift. Lots of things you can do with your hard earned, apart from feeding the coffers of anonymous online casinos.
Personally I'm all up for an alcohol ban. Don't see what people get out of it at all. Causes nothing but anti-social and reckless behaviour. As a hardened gambler since the age of 13 (I'm now 51), I'm all for a complete ban of online gambling.

Why should anyone tell me, you, Tom, Dick or Harry what they can and can't spend their own money on? Banks have no moral right to tell anyone what they can and can't spend on given A) we're forced to use them and B) they were bailed out in the not too distant past with OUR money. They'd have otherwise gone to the wall. They are right though Dave and you know it.
Not sure that's fair.Personally I'm all up for an alcohol ban. Don't see what people get out of it at all. Causes nothing but anti-social and reckless behaviour.
I find your view to be more selfish. "Let me have my fun whilst others suffer"Quite a selfish attitude in all honesty. So an alcohol ban is cool because you don't like it...Personally I'm all up for an alcohol ban. Don't see what people get out of it at all. Causes nothing but anti-social and reckless behaviour.

I’m up for helping people who want and feel they need to be helped, but let others get on with their life how they choose to live it.
Of course. Many spend what they can afford. That's true. Not everyone suffers
Some can blow 20k gambling
some spend 10 to 100 because, well.....entertainment
I've friends blow a K or 2 on games and another 3-5 K on devices
TruthOf course. Many spend what they can afford. That's true.
Many more have no control.
Can you support that, or an opnion?Gambling as a lifestyle and as an addiction ruins people more than drugs or alcohol.
