Today I received a 50.00 free chip in my email box for Vegas Strip casino with a 100.00 max cashout. This appeared to be aimed to attract new players as I believe the code was only good for new accounts. Good for me, I didn't have an account with Vegas Strip Casino.

Looking at the Rogue Pit it's clear they are part of the notorious Virtual Group of RTG casinos in Costa Rica.

No way would I ever deposit my own money there, but will I give their free chip a chance? Sure I will.

The WR on this 50.00 chip is 750.00. I created my account and off I was into the seedy world of rogue casino gambling. I hit the 750.00 WR with 123.00 sitting in my account which was reset to a flat 100.00 the moment hit I the WR.

I then ventured into the cashier section and was presented with only two viable withdrawal options: Wire Transfer & Overnight Express

Not sure what to try (like it matters lol) I opened a chat window and had the following lovely conversation:

Me: Hi Megan
Me: I received an offer to open an account at your casino with a 50.00 free chip with a 100.00 max withdrawal
Me: I reached the wagering requirements of this bonus and would like to know what withdrawal options are available to me in the US?
Me: Also, your authorization form is asking for a credit card number, but because of the fact I used a free chip, not sure if I need to provide one.
Megan: Hello
Megan: Allow me a moment while I am checking for you.
Me: Thank you
Megan: Thank you for holding. I will be with you in a few moments.
Me: No problem
Megan: To request a withdrawal please visit our cashier section from our Casino lobby, Once you there just click on the Withdrawal tab, then choose the method you want to use for your withdrawal and then submit your request.
Megan: What we need from you is a copy of your picture ID, a copy of an utility bill or something with your name and address on it.
Megan: You can send your documents to: ccprocessing@casinosupportcenter.com or by fax 1-888-579-4555
info: Your chat transcript will be sent to email at the end of your chat.
Me: ok thank you
Me: I will do that
Megan: Is there anything else I can assist you with?
Me: Is there a fee to withdraw?
Me: In the US pretty much the only option available to me is overnight express or wire transfer
Megan: once the request gets approved, it should be sent out either western union or money gram
Megan: they handle their own fees
Me: ok
Me: Thank you
Megan: You are more than welcome

So, the next step is I send all of the typical verification documents (scanned or faxed).

Then I begin the waiting game.. what happens next?

See the poll..

Casinomeister hosts the official Rogue Casino site - coining the phrase in the year 2000
With due respect, this poll is meaningless as it will only apply to your case. They will pay you given its only $100 and if they knew you set up a poll here they will pay even faster to get some undeserved publicity. However, if this poll was set up as a general question for players who made their deposits and hit reasonably big you can expect a huge response.

Hi Chuchu,

The point of the poll is to share the experience of withdrawing from a rogue casino with a free chip, nothing more than an entertaining journey that I wanted to share.

If they are in the rogue pit, then who cares?...unless people do not take heed of the 'Rogue Pit'.

I understand why Milemaster did this.

I always test out new RTG games at rogue casinos to see how they 'work'...that's all they are good for.

Hopefully, people Google 'Casino forums' and come across, ' Casinomeister.com' to understand more about rogue casinos.

nothing more than an entertaining journey that I wanted to share.

I did find the poll choices entertaining, right now the most popular choice is "My verification documents are circulated in the Costa Rican black market"

And that right there is one of the best reasons to not visit a Rogue casino, in my opinion. I have a friend at the moment trying to reverse credit card charges being made from Dubai even though she's never visited there, but her card details have made their way there...

Identity theft is a large and growing problem, and you even said you checked and saw this casino is on the Rogue list even before creating your account there. The first comment on the Virtual Casino Group page says :

I was met by some sinster columbian looking bodyguards dressed in slick suits [...] the security guards followed me all the way there and warned me by hitting me around never to ask ever again about a cashout or mention on forums or they will have me killed

It could just be a story without any truth to it. But I wouldn't send them my documents just to take advantage of a free chip.

The one and ONLY time I had a problem with someone trying to use my credit card details fraudulently was after I sent copies of my card to a dodgy RTG casino. (Not 100% sure which one now - but I think it was part of the Crystal Palace Group who do have connections to Virtual)

That was way back in 2002 or 2003 - long before I discovered CasinoMeister and found out about Rogue casinos.
So yes I agree, not getting paid is only ONE danger of playing at rogue places - there are lots of other reasons to completely avoid them too - free-chip or not.

While it may be entertaining, as Chuchu said it isn't really very helpful in that these guys thrive off publicity and it is only giving them more oxygen.

Have you considered the implicatation's for other players if they do pay you?

I found the Poll very entertaining.

But I do agree that the thread may give this rogue undeserved attention (If they do pay- but after Jesus comes of course)

I found this thread pretty entertaining myself. If anyone read this then thought they should go play then they'd have to be pretty stupid IMO :D

I would have said exactly the same thing if you hadn't beaten me to it. Reminds me too of a fantastic quote someone made during a Facebook debate on radio recently:

"If you're getting something for free then you ARE the product".

Update

So I let this thread sit idle while this adventure plays out as some here raised concerns that this casino group would behave differently if they saw this posting. Well rest assured they are behaving exactly how one would expect from a rogue casino. Here is the timeline as it sits today, August 15th:

Withdrawal Request was made on June 5th.
Sent Verification Documents on June 19th (When it was requested)
Withdrawal was approved on July 4th

So.. it took 30 days from withdrawal request to approval.

I waited a couple of weeks after hearing nothing and checked on the status on July 19th and received the following response:
Our records show that we sent your winnings on 7/19/12, once the processor contact us with the information you require to collect your winnings at Western Union or MoneyGram, our finance department will send you an email with it.

Waited another week and sent another email on July 26th and received the following response:
Our withdrawals always take a month or so, the problem is that once we send the money to the third party company the timeframe is out of our hands, even if we contact the processor on the daily basis they will only confirm us the tracking information of what they want. As soon as we receive this information our finance department will send you an email with it.

Waited a couple more weeks until August 10th and sent another email and received the following response:
I’m really sorry for the delay, our records show that we send your winnings on 7/19/12 and unfortunately the timeframe after we send the money to the processor is out of our hands. We are contacting the processor in a daily basis and they haven’t provided us any tracking information yet. We are looking into another processor that allows us to send this amount of winnings so we can resend it to you. I’m really sorry again for the inconvenience but we are working in fixing the problem the processor has inflicted upon us.

Love that last part.

2.5 months so far for $100.00. LOL

30 business days for a withdrawal! To be fair, they are consistent with regard to their promised timeframe so on that score you cannot fault them. The way Virtual operates now is different in that they do pay cashouts ranging from 50 -1000 after 30 business days. They understand the need for repeat business and the big suckers with deep pockets will think they do pay and will only encounter problems if and when they hit big and withdraw. I am pretty sure they pay the measly sums won from free chips but if they do not believe they can dupe you into making deposits its another story.
