Jackpot Factory's Inspirational Stories

Well they've certainly done a good job on Google - at a time where I gather it's rather hard to get pages into the rankings, a search for 'microgaming' returns two of these nonsense pages in its first ten results.

I love Google.

I remember - back in the pre-Google days - I'd spend a half hour searching, and still not find what I wanted. Google usually gets me what I want right away.

I wonder how much time & effort Google puts into fighting off these spammers?

I wonder who will ultimately win.

Good Question

Since they're regulated by eCOGRA, do we think they'll lose the seal over this?

This is a very good question, what exactly will the voluntary bodies do about this, both Kawanake and even eCogra have been accused of always seeing the casino's side in a favourable light. I expect Kawanake to handle this in the same manner it handled the Golden Palace incident, an internal investigation followed by business as usual.
eCogra is a different matter! This comes while they are campaining for responsible gaming, and the sheer abdication of responsibility in allowing this to happen needs to have a visible consequence. Whateve they do, eCogra will have to justify it, and to allow the casino to go relatively unpunished (other than the stern "slap on the wrist"), will validate the "it was a contractor, not us - we can't be held responsible", excuse.

This scandal is in it's early days, and it's out in the public domain now, there is no going back! Nothing short of an official investigation by eCogra (finding published openly of course), will go towards remedying the damage to the industry. Google may take a stand also, and this could harm the industry as a whole as they may simply blacklist all casino type terminology from ranking in the top few of the results.

I meant "stupid" in the sense that someone with the authority to change their website thought this was OK, and someone in charge of them thought it OK to employ them!

I would not categorise this as "stupid".

There are articles all over the place, it seems endless. They're really hammering the search term "beating slot machines" (amongst others), there are the most hopeless articles at AllSluts and WildJacks just repeating that phrase over and over, almost without disguise. They're all links of course, trying to pull in the serps. It's working, too - google "beating slot machines" and see what you get. So essentially, Jackpot factory are getting exactly the results they wanted.

They're going to go to the wall for this. I doubt the short term boost in new users will make up for the long term damage this will do to their image and reputation.

Just to add my disgust to the thread. This is very, very low. And to make it worse they still haven't even removed the offending pages as promised in their pathetic "out-sourcing" excuse. I hope they get the kitchen sink thrown at them for this, this kind of behaviour is appalling.

It's apparent that, having pulled the article at the top of this thread, that's an end to the matter as far as Jackpot Factory is concerned. All the other cheap, tacky search engine spam, "beating slot machines", "casino slot games", "craps strategy" etc ad inf, they're quite happy to leave up.

I see First Web is still on the accredited list, does this mean they lack "inspiration" from third parties!
Oops, forgot one.

I'm on the road at the moment (in so. Cal), but I'm following this semi-closely. I'm still dumbfounded that this was allowed to be uploaded onto their pages - and to remain there longer than a half-an-hour is completely and totally unacceptable.

You're promoting a casino not selling shoes.

"The Foundation for Arthritis Prevention recommends multi line slots" is still live, and this thread is two days old.

I'm totally disgusted with this entire situation. More later.

Ditto. And this is one instance where I am in total agreement with the posters who have mentioned that ECogra should take a firm stance on this one. They are supposed to be a regulatory body, well they need to regulate this. One poster in this thread used the word "predatory". I couldn't agree more with that description.

These articles are targeting people vulnerable to compulsive and problem gambling. The unbelievable and disgraceful thing is that they want these people searching on the internet with these search terms to find their casinos. It's probably worth mentioning that the 32Red magazine article incident about how to beat roulette was much more widely read (circulation of around half a million) and much more believable and liable to create problem gamblers. They didn't do anything about it when they could have easily notified the players who joined after reading it and played roulette- they didn't want to lose the profits.

Ive been behind on my meistering this week. Didnt see thris thread and it sickens me.

Allright I am in no way taking the casino's side on this one. But this is a pretty smart move business wise. The smart move business wise isnt always the best way to go about things and tears may be shed in the process. With an exception of maybe 2 or 3 casinos, how many casinos put the players before the money?? Look at the King Neptunes situation, great casino could have did the nice thing and pay it. No, they did the business thing and didnt, because it was better business stand point. It is all about the $$ why do you think people open casinos in the first place.

Back to the links!
Someone could be suspecting a debt solution and see that all slots add. As dumb as it sounds to use it happens, someone who is desperate will try anything to get back what they lost or what they need. As sleezy as this sounds its true.

Do I think the links and testominals are right? NO!
Do I think It will Improve "The business they are running"? YES! HELL YES! They are appealling to a new audience who doesn't expect it.

I have lost total respect for the jackpot factory group. I havent played there much but as slotster said, the "ICON" is always there just in case.
I have lost respect in this group for multiple reasons
1. why i dont play there often, no live chat anymore
2. the links what kinda garbage is that
3. "false testiomanails" which is the sleeziest.I doubt a few are true if any
4. False statement, "the links are gone" No they are not, I am at this thread late and they still ALL!!!! are there.
I bet the casino struck a gold mine with these links, I also bet THEY ARE NOT THE FIRST TO USE THIS METHOD!

My views, I'd play at Virtual casino before the jackpot factory ones now. But if ever had problems with life and broke up with my wife, who of course cheated on me with my half evil third cuzin. Id play here.

Sorry for the random rant, I missed this thread by a few days.

I think its pretty funny. :) call me an ass but if someone falls for that BS maybe they deserve it. Looks to me to just be search engine bot tactics, nothing we 'humans' are really supposed to read or take meaning out of.
props to thinking out of the box to your marketing team even if it ended up just pissing affiliates off for some reason

now i gotta get back to my free slots

Specifically targeting and exploiting compulsive gamblers and claiming that slots helps arthritis is VERY GRIMY. I would love to quit work and gamble all day every day, but doing so would (a) leave me broke, and (b) probably GIVE me arthritis.

If you can get past the initial shock of the situation, I must say that I found most (NOT ALL) of these quotes and paragraphs to be rather hilarious.

But I am also surprised that as of 01:00AM EST 2006-06-01, all of these pages are all still available...

Well that's all for now, I'm going to go get some more

Unhilarity

Well, in a way they ARE hilarious! However, they cross the line when they are designed to appear when people "google" for help for problems that are directly at odds with responsible gaming. I am sure they could have created these hilarious tales so that they appeared whenever a potential player was searching for information about gambling or related activities. They would have been well adjusted enough to have a good laugh, and naturally the article would have stuck in their memory and they would recall the name of the casino and assosiate it with humour. Sadly, this has misfired in a big way, and worst of all, they got caught red handed by more educated net-savvy players.
I visited the site and it looks like all that happened was the site was given a quick "BMW" to quote an earlier poster. All the links now simply reload the home page, and look like bad web design, however, clearly the articles are still there for the search bots to pick up on.
Dirt is not "gone" by sweeping it under the rug, the only way is to get rid of it is with the trash (or refuse/rubbish, for us Brits).
eCogra will have a full(ish) mailbox this morning, we will have to see what they make of this.

This is ridiculous. I thought some of it was funny at first, but all of their sites contain literally endless pages filled with outright lies, meaningless stories about unrelated topics injected with gambling terms, and psychological ploys specifically aimed at problem and compulsive gamblers.

I was going to deposit at All Jackpots tomorrow because their 400% signup bonus is enticing, but now that I see what they spend their money on, I am not going to do so.

Tactics like this seem similar to those which earned 888.com rogue status.

I nominate this group for the same.

So let's see if we have this right. Thus far, Jackpot Factory has targeted:

The chronically depressed
People with marital problems
People in dire straits financially
People with ADHD
The elderly
People with arthritis
People searching for solutions to high interest rates

Have I missed anyone? What's next? Telling you that playing slots will help you cope with the death of a loved one?

Scummy, sleazy, dirty, predatory, irresponsible.....the list goes on. Feel free to add any more adjectives you deem appropriate.

It shouldn't exactly be a hard decision by eCOGRA, should it?
eCOGRAs Players Seal of Approval is awarded to those casinos which have achieved compliance with eCOGRAs high standards and demonstrated that:

Games are fair
The casino operates honestly and behaves responsibly
Monetary deposits are safe and winning bets are paid in a timely manner.

Accreditation has been awarded to the
All Slots Casino
on the basis of rigorous assessment by one of a panel of approved
external assessor consultancies of international repute.

Thinking about Nat and 3 card poker

I used to play 3 card poker with Nat the whole time. We would always make sure we had time for 3 card poker, no matter what was going on in our lives, especially after retirement when we generally had more time and more friends were available to join us for 3 card poker. Playing 3 card poker sort of became "our thing" and so when Nat died, I sort of stopped playing 3 card poker. Anyway, there were so many things I missed about Nat, that I hardly really thought about 3 card poker. At least, I hardly thought about 3 card poker until the first anniversary of his death came up. Then I thought about 3 card poker all day and cried a lot; I missed him so much.

I use 3 card poker for something positive

Well, I had spent most of the day crying and I wanted to stop. I decided instead that I must do something positive, rather than focusing on the negative. It was time to raise a glass to Nat's memory - that would have been what he wanted me to do anyway. So I got out a bottle of champagne I had been saving for some time, poured myself a glass, raised it to Nat and went off to join some friends for a game of 3 card poker.

Spearmaster or Jetset, do you have an email addy for ECogra that we could use? I would like to write and express my disgust at all of this, and I would strongly urge every single person here to do the same. And write to Jackpot Factory as well, if you haven't done so already.

Wouldn't the people who are trying to ban internet gaming in the US love to get their hands on this garbage? This totally gives credence to the whole "moral issue" argument.

Hummmm...

What happened to the "Jackpot Factory GM" that posted earlier in this thread??

He/she said... "all the links are being removed"...

How come there has been no further "update" from the GM?

Is the GM Alison Andersson?

Alison sent me Jackpot Factory SPAM (as snail mail) offering me all the "MAY BONUSES" that were available to me... I got this "wonderful offer" MAY 31st.

Maybe this offer was so late because Alison was too busy putting up "stories" on the Jackpot Factory websites...

Jackpot Factory... you should be ashamed of yourselves for this ridiculous and sleazy attempt to attract people to your sites.
