In all fairness the last session wasn't too bad in terms of playtime from a £50 deposit.

Never even looked like getting close to making wagering though. (I wagered just under £1000 of a £1500 WR.)

Ouch!

I had a good run on it today on the other hand. Exactly the same deposits but playing at 90p per spin, had around 12 bonuses biggest one paying £120 odd (all wild vine bonuses) and a big reel win of about £120, 2 wild desires one paying zero and the other £21

Had hours and hours of playtime and ended up with £350. I play the flash version at 32 red though so can't get stats like you.

Your luck will change soon Chop I'm sure!

Your luck will change soon Chop I'm sure!

I hope so, this is starting to get expensive!

I had a very good run early on in December, which took my overall results for the last 18 months comfortably into positive territory (helped somewhat substantially overall by land-based AWPs), but even so, seeing deposit after deposit disappear without even a sniff of any sort of withdrawal, let alone a profit, is starting to get tiresome.

In fact, thinking back across 2012 overall, the kindest softwares were definitely NetEnt and Rival, did OK at Jackpot Party too.

MG hammered me though, and it looks like it's going that way again.

I emailed 32Red's CS to ask for my RTP since December 31st (which is basically 5286 spins on IR).

As ever I can't fault 32Red's CS as they got back me to within 30 minutes, but I don't like the numbers!

Oh well, I'll stick with it, hopefully I'll turn the corner sooner or later. At the end of the day 5286 spins on a high variance slot isn't a decent sample size, so what I'm experiencing is well within reasonable parameters.

Hi Alex,

I hope this email finds you well.

Your RTP from the 31st December for account 32RExxxyyyzzz currently sits at 78%

Great thread guys. Keep it up....especially chops....nice work son

FWIW, I had a stab at this yesterday at 32Red, and hit 3 bonus rounds in 3 consecutive spins which has never happened before. I chose from left to right.....got what mother hubbard had in her cupboard on the amber and batshit rounds, but actually got a 150xbet on the gruelling reels feature which is unusual.

I give IR, and most slots for that matter, 50 spins for a bonus to hit or a big reel win. If it doesn't, I'm off like a bride's knickers. If it does happen, I start my 50 spins again etc etc.

My reasoning is that, if a slot is in a good mood, I'm going to pretty much know in short order. I've spent too many hours when I first started, grinding away at single games hoping for that big hit, which needed to be bigger and bigger as the spins and losses mounted up. Anyhoo, at least this way I get variety, and don't get that deflated feeling when you lose your wad on one game. It may not make a difference in the end, but as Doctor Who once said, "A straight line may well be the shortest distance between point A and point B, but it is by no means the most interesting".

Not a great session but at least it wasn't a bust. Still no sniff of a profit though.

I have also now added average bonus round win as a stat, tracked back to the first session.

IMO, with IR, once you hit something nice, give it another 50 spins, and you get zip, then bail out. Continually playing it will drain you like a vampire.

I actually hit (at 32Red yesterday) 3 bonus rounds in 3 consecutive spins. Two paid under 20xbet, but the other paid 250xbet including 4 scatters on the Amber feature.

It's a "don't hang around" slot IMO.

Thing is though Nifty, what you're saying there doesn't make any sense unless you happen to think it's not a truly random slot.

Yes it's a high variance slot, and as such needs to be treated like any other high variance in slot in terms of its ability to pay nothing or very little for an extended period of time - but other than that what's the difference between IR and any other high variance slot?

I remember you trying to beat The Argyle Open too not so long ago.

Whatever you are trying to prove or do I'm afraid that you will end up just as disappointed as you were at that time.

Stubborn can be good, but not always:p

Right, it just goes to show that even the black-and-white random brigade accept there's patterns in the slots' behaviour. It's funny you should post these stats, as I have noticed on several occasions this precise effect. A big win on the menstruation whatever feature followed by immediate feature entry (or vice versa) or large reel win. This occurs on TSII a lot too. But we all know they're totally random and there are only co-incidences and no patterns....:D

Another truly depressing shitathon.

Right, it just goes to show that even the black-and-white random brigade accept there's patterns in the slots' behaviour. It's funny you should post these stats, as I have noticed on several occasions this precise effect. A big win on the menstruation whatever feature followed by immediate feature entry (or vice versa) or large reel win. This occurs on TSII a lot too. But we all know they're totally random and there are only co-incidences and no patterns....:D

Errrmmm....hang on a minute. You're both adding 2 and 2 together and getting 29.

I said "IMO" i.e. it's the way I play the slot. In fact, it's the way I play ANY high variance slot.

HV slots pay bugger all on most of the spins, and pay big on the occasional spin to make up the TRTP. Hence, if I hit big, which is an UNLIKELY event anyway, I play another 50 spins (which is how many I play on HV slots before moving on), and if I don't win I move on. I mentioned IR because it's the game we are discussing...that's all.

It's not about thinking it is going to pay because it is on a pre-determined winning streak or my chances are any better or worse because I just hit a big one. It's just that I realise it is tough as hell to win on these slots so I don't spend everything I just won chasing the next one. I'd have thought that was fairly logical.

Nothing I said indicates that I think the slot is not random. I am a member of the "black and white" brigade as you put it....the slot is either random or it isn't....I happen to think it is, as I do with the other slots I play (save for the AWPs of course), If I didn't, I wouldn't play them. I've yet to see anything happen on mainstream slots (I haven't played every software out there) that couldn't have happened if the slot was random.

Players talk about winnings streaks and losing streaks....these will happen on a random slot. It's a bit of a "chicken or the egg" thing really......do we have a win on a slot because we struck a "winning streak", or do we have a "winning streak" on a slot because we are winning. If the ONLY time I won on a slot was when I hit a winning streak, then perhaps I might be suspicious. However, I've hit nothing for 49 spins and hit a whale on the 50th....and then hit nothing afterwards. If the slots have programmed winning and losing streaks, that would appear to be a mistake in the programming, no? Either they have pre-programmed streaks that determine whether you have a winning or losing session, or they don't.

I'm the same way. Unless I'm hitting, I'll play any given slot 25 spins, then move on. Not because I think 25 is special, or magical, or that hits occur in any particular sequence, I just don't feel like flogging my money into something that's not paying and move on.

I've had 2.000+ spins on Hellboy without hitting the bonus round (3 scatters) - instead I got "Supermode" 20 times in a row (I dont mean consecutive spins, but pretty much every 70 spins). I've experienced this twice over the last 2 years.

no, not impossible.

I havn't looked at the reel configuration, but I'm guessing that the odds of 2.000 spins without 3 scatters are very low.

In 1.052.594 spins on IM, the longest run without a bonusround was 1.295 spins. To hit 2.000 spins without a bounusround on IM, I suspect you'd have to do 1 billion+ spins. Whats the most spins anyone here has ever counted?

The reel config on Hellboy could be very different from IM. I think the win is random, but the wheel position might not be random. I'll try to do some spins on Hellboy to see what happens.

FWIW, my spins on IM seem perfectly random.

I once got a very suspicious bonus streak on Cashapillar. The bonus rounds would keep retriggering every few spins, it was ridiculous. I'd get the free spins, win almost nothing, then spin a few more times (<10) and it would retrigger. This thing happened I believe 8 times in a row and on the very last bonus round, I won 600x stake and then it stopped. It really felt like the slot was trying hard to give me something.:D

It was to the point that I was expecting to get a message from the casino telling me that the winnings are void because there was a malfunction with the slot. That's how bad I thought it was.

But to me, the fact that we do get uncommon stuff like that from time to time is the proof that it's random (and let's not forget that players tend to see patterns in slots even when there's none, we're all like that.)

OK, perhaps I was being a bit disingenuous to Nifty concerning 'black and white' etc. Random numbers do produce patterns; it's inevitable if you're picking from a pot which has many 'balls' of the same value. Let's call it a 'random pattern'.:)
The reason I found Balthazars post intriguing is that I was once a solid fan of the tedious Cashapillar (Cashpillager as I called it) and noticed too some funny spreads of bonus round awards - I've noticed on every MG slot I've played there is a tendency for a run of crap to mediocre bonus rounds, and then you always get the good 'un. IR, TSII, BDBA, Cashapillar they all do it. You seem to have 5-7 (max I've seen is 7) crap rounds when you get the 60-200x one next go. I also noticed when you get 4-scatter triggers the bonus is 19/20 SHITE! I'd love a screenie or MG play report of someone triggering an MG slot like IR TS11 etc. and showing 100+ times stake. I've not seen it in years, the best I ever got was 39x.

I also noticed when you get 4-scatter triggers the bonus is 19/20 SHITE!

It's true for MG, it's true for NetEnt and it's true on land based slots, too (China Shores comes to mind). I personally don't believe that the individual spins in the bonus rounds are random. A bonus round (free spins, etc) is "one paid spin" and at this point I'm convinced that it's treated as one spin with one result from the RNG.

In other words, if you get more free spins because you've got 4 scatters, you'll end with a higher % of dead spins. Also, if the 4 scatters trigger paid well, this amount will be "deducted" from the free spins win.

That was my initial suspicion too (that the bonuswin was predetermined), but the reelpositions in the Amber bonusrounds look perfectly random ;-(

I've only done 17.632 'Amber-spins' - not really enough to determine randomness, but I believe that the outcome of each individual bonus spin is random.

It would still be pretty easy for MG to adjust bonus round RTP, by removing certain high or low paying reel combinations. There are 395.242.624 possible reel combinations, so this would be impossible for us to determine.

Short explanation:

The 4 bonusgames have their own reelset. For each reelset, each reel has a number of possible positions. For the Amber bonus round:

Reel 1: 41 positions
Reel 2: 53 positions
Reel 3: 56 positions
Reel 4: 56 positions
Reel 5: 58 positions

Its set up pretty much like a physical reel. Position 2 is directly below position 1:

Position 1: 9, 10, J
Position 2: 10, J, Amber
Position 3: J, Amber, K
...and so forth

Each bonusspin, the MG server tells the client the position of the 5 reels - the reel combination determines the size of the win (if any).

Over time, you would expect a uniform reel distribution (each possible position should show up the same number of times). Although I've only done a limited number of spins, my feeling is that this is indeed the case.

I've looked at Amber, because the win does not depend on any extra random factor (like the bats in Michael or the Wilds in Sarah). I could have looked at Troy too, but the rolling reels make things a bit more complicated.

I don't think I can agree with this - one rng result for the whole of the free spins.

Here's why. If you play Immortal Romance at Bet365 on their 'games' section (flash based on the website), you see your balance update (for each spin) at the top before the reels stop spinning.

If you hit a bonus round, your balance only updates with the trigger and any reel win amounts of the current spin. Not the total of the bonus round. The balance does then continue to update prematurely on each spin of the bonus round.

I could be wrong, but this suggests a genuine rng number pull for each spin.

Yes, you're quite correct - the old click your balance trick, when each free spin commences, like I use to determine the outcome of each shitstorm before the video completes. Do this on the freepsins, and it does indeed update each one separately. I do believe each freespin picks from a different pool of outcomes than the main game though.

True, but you've mentioned 2 different criteria there - firstly on IR TSII etc. no extra spins are awarded for 4 scatters unlike many other slots, but despite this the spins are mostly dead, as if it has already decided that 20x bet trigger will form the best part of the total payout coming from the round. As you say extra spins for 4 scatter like Netent means more crap spins. And they invariably are.

I've got a 122% RTP rate on Immortal Romance at 32 Red... I've done quite well on this game :D Still havent scored more than three wilds though

I wonder if anyone on CM or anywhere on the web actually has ever gotten 5 wilds in IR/TSII/Finer Reels of Life? The games (and so many other random wild games) say '' Up to 5 wilds '' but I've still yet to see a single image with 5 wild reels .. I personally haven't had the joy of seeing even 3 reels of wild :( (Except once, 3-5 reels .. won zero ..)

They have, just look for Immortal Romance on the Winners Wall... I'd say it's a very very rare occurrence akin to winning a major progressive jackpot (given the return on five wilds). I've got a 122% RTP on this game and still have only ever scored three wilds.

As for The Finer Reels, I have a hard enough time getting the feature on this game, not holding my breath on seeing a Wild Celebration :)

The result of my last sh*tstorm? One wild :( I'm kind of over these features... Not being impressed with past features, I actually checked the balance on my main page before the animation had finished... I was a whole $2 in profit

I get these features all the time and still have not even hit four wilds... so wouldn't hold you're breath :)

I'm thinking that compared to the amount of players these games must have, only a very small percentage of winning shots have been posted. I think even four wilds would be quite rare.

Funny that - these slots are 'random' and yet every time 5 wilds is recorded on a normal spin there are NEVER any character symbols, always letters/numbers........
Thing is I got the same for 1.20 stake and it paid exactly 320, did you check the payout total?

Actually, kick my ass on that last post, I don't believe you can get a character in view with a wild on TSII like you can on IR.
I think all wilds have letters and numbers for 2 positions above and below them..:o:o:o:o:o

I've skipped dozens and dozens of posts. I get sucked in looking at very pretty screenies

Mostly not me. I never go begging for a comp at 32Red, they have been so good to me. A thousand plus spins without a wild desire, and not a 40x bonus rounds.

I did promise not to play it on IM though.

It is a very attractive slot though, I like the music symbols, choice or rounds, the dark background. I see the screenies, I know the big ones are possible. But so far not me, I'm a lower variance kind of gal usually.

Maybe just $20 on it, lol.

Finally a bit of luck on this game!

32Red sent me a 200% bonus offer, albeit on a very small £10 deposit maximum, to give me a bankroll of an awesome £30.

Decided to hit IR and about a couple of hundred spins in landed the bonus round. Chose Amber because it doesn't muck about, and hit a nice 5OAK with Sarahs and Wilds.

End result was this, 622x stake! (30p spin.)

Should make wagering and..... shock horror..... get a withdrawal out of this one! First MG withdrawal in ages!

(£200 bankroll to make about £550 of wagering, that can't go wrong, surely?......)
