How much do you deposit and bet?

So I've been doing the online casino thing for a couple months. I typically deposit around 50-100$ at a time. And typically bet around 40 cents a spin. I've had some nice wins. a couple 1000x+ wins and had a couple nice cashouts, nothing over 1k.

I enjoy online slots, but I would also like to experience some bigger hits. It's hard to win anything significant when you're betting this low. And I aint complaining anytime I hit something big, but for once I'd like to be able to take a chance and maybe deposit $100, and maybe bet $5 for 20 spins and see what happens.

Does anyone ever try this? Obviously it probably doesn't work out very well, but I'm curious with what peoples betting strategies are and if you ever 'take a chance' and what are the conditions that you do that on?

From only depositing $50-$100, you have already had some serious luck in 2 months to have a couple of 20X starting balance withdrawals.

And at the end of the day it's all just down to luck, not strategy.

If you deposit $100 and blow it in 20 spins, which is easy, your more likely to re-deposit and chase loses.

Better off sticking to normal stakes and have some play time.

Hi Folks:

I am from Canada … with all of the casinos down, I thought I would LIVE stream some internet play! With casinos offering around 87% Returns, imagine my fun when I played on the internet! In general, most internet games are more volatile, and offer BIG WINS, but bonus less often! The casino offers more BONUSES but they usually pay less!

I like 40-cents as well, although it depends on the volatility of the game! Some higher, some lower! On High-5 Games, I noticed the larger bets, but you can play a long time!

I appreciate all of your feedback! US users do watch my live feeds!

Thanks care! /\/\/\/\ the Shamus /\/\/\/\

PS - Basically, I look at matched funds for the initial sign up! First I make sure they have the newest variety. $25 or $100 is common! Glad the internet is out there for some fun!

The only strategy is bankroll management and game selection, with the latter being the most difficult.

As mentioned, ploughing $5 bets off a $100 deposit will lead to inevitable disappointment and make you want to likely get that money back, which then leads down a rabbit hole.

We'd all like to do the big bets and get those big wins but they're the exception, not the norm. Neither is bet size the be-all and end-all in regards to attaining massive amounts, the likes of DOA are testament to that.

Far better then to carry on doing the relatively sensible deposits and bets, and up stakes when on a higher balance. Also crucial to not (as also mentioned) chase lost deposits, but to stick to a budget and not deviate from that.

Playtime is king, and there's nothing stopping anyone changing bets throughout a session. Because ultimately despite what some might tout, there ain't no fun in losing $100 in four minutes chasing a pipe-dream

I would disagree with you there. The hardest thing (in my humble opinion) is cashout discipline.
That has been my biggest achilles heel. A game is playing well, I'm well ahead and I all too frequently fall into the "just one more feature then I'll call it a day and cashout" trap. Next thing you know, your 500% raise on your initial starting balance becomes only a 200% raise. Or worse still, you spunk the whole bloody lot.
I'm sure we've all done it many, many times.

If I had better cashout discipline, I wouldn't be looking at lifetime net losses of 30K, that's for sure.
It would be more like less than half of that.

That's why I have always admired Jono's "make do" strategy. He didn't push his luck very often.
And when he did, he was usually a spawny twat. (sorry Jono, I'm only jesting mate :p )

To finish a calendar year in profit 13 years in a row (I think he said 13) is one hell of an achievement.

Just stick to your normal pattern, which I think is a good one.

I play even lower stakes, but I also deposit less. Mostly one 40,- deposit a month or twice a month. Anything I earn from giveaways/competitions just adds to that.
I play on 10p or 20p stakes. If I get to around 80,- or 100,- balance I sometimes try 40p spins for about 20,- and drop back to lower stakes again if I loose. I cashout some of the balance at around 120,- to 150,-.

I like to play this way, because for me slotting never becomes about the value of the money. I only see winnings / losses as more / less playtime.
Nowadays I just like to chill playing a bit and I never feel it's about the money itself, what I deposit is just a very small part of what I make a month and I like to keep it that way.

Protect yourself from chasing losses and strictly stick to the bankroll management you already have. Ask yourself, what can come from doing the 20 5,- spins? The chances of a negative outcome are way to high imo and what will the positive outcome give you? Excitement? Money you currently need?

Thousands a month! bet sizes vary, depending on what I feel like, but mainly stick to around 0.60p stakes on average. Some slots I do higher, for example, I only ever play Terminator 2 on 0.90p or higher.

I used to play DOA on 0.90p or higher too, but the newer DOA 2 I play mostly 0.45p because it is more volatile and has much higher win potential. I still play DOA 2 with 0.90p stake sometimes but rarely and if I am up or down in a session.

But DOA 2 has been pretty dreadful for me. I still not had 5 scatters or wild line on it yet :( Must have had around 500 features on it since it launched too :p

As for BTG slots or the blueprint megaways slots or other providers megaway slots, I mainly do between 0.40p-1.00 stakes and again it varies between those amounts depending if I am up or down etc etc :p :)

Usually do £2 spins maybe increasing bets if you get a decent win. Be warned though...I've been playing for over 7 years and never hit over 1200x. It isn't all streamer hits for everyone. Best to play low stakes, seems where the bigger 'x' wins hit.

I have never put more than £50 in a week, and that was an exception really. I just dont have the spare cash. Maybe 20 or 30 quid on average. That means I have to bet small as well unfortunately, but i usually get a decent amount of play time and i will withdraw my deposit amount if i make £20 or more, so then it feels like its free

Aside from a recent disaster on VS chasing pointless freerolls. these days I keep it low, deposit max 20-30 at a time play at 0.10-0.20, this will increase if a streak occurs and any extra deposits will come from winnings.

Not a strategy I would recommend - even a low variance game could clean you out in minutes.

To answer your main question, I typically deposit $/€/£ 300 - 400 at a time, about 3 - 4 times per month.
(I have accounts in all 3 currencies at various casinos, and I have never been one for multiple deposits, preferring to just do 1 or 2 per month max to any one casino)

Bet size depends a lot on what game I am playing: High variance = small bets: 1 - 1.40, Low variance = bigger bets: 2.00 to 10.00 (but mostly 2.00)
I find it virtually impossible to place bets less than 1.00 because like you, if I get a big win multiplier I want it to be a decent amount.

Some of my 400 deposits have been gone in not much more than an hour, but others have lasted me weeks (or even months) and got up to many 1,000s. Like others, I kick myself for not cashing out when well ahead - but I do take the money & run sometimes!

It’s ok, he’s saw a streamer do it.
It’s clearly easy and we should all be following suit.
Does boggle the mind where the idea of late has came from with these silly bets no fucker in real life can afford.

It's like the simple adage.

The only way you can be certain of ending up with a big pot of money after gambling, is to start with two big pots of money and leave after losing the first.
