So yet again, I make a deposit at Guts, Have done around 8 out of the last 10 days and I'm starting to wonder why, I deviate from DoA at some point and try TS2.

All hell breaks loose before I've played 10 spins, predictably, I get an error. So I refresh the game, again, before another 10 spins are up I get another error - a different one.

So I go back to DoA, all will be good, right, as it was playing ok before, wrong. Game unavailable all of a sudden. Amongst other errors.

I know people say it isn't Gut's fault and it's the platform etc, but at what point should we say enough is enough and they should actually complain or say something?

I play at Redbet too, don't get half as many errors there as I do at Guts. It's getting beyond a joke tbh.

I hate complaining, really I do, but the casino industry is the only industry where you seem to pay for a service yet it's allowed to have issue after issue with no comeuppance.

If I paid for food that gave me food poisoning, questions would be asked.

If I paid for a TV service such as sky or Virgin that had as many issues as Guts did, as regularly as they did, questions would be asked.

Yet Casinos time and time again, flash based casinos especially have issues - and they happen time and time again, and nothing ever gets fixed.

And that goes for certain MG casinos too, including 32Red. Its getting beyond a joke.

Absolutely annoying PN..... and absolutely agree with you.

No fun, no entertainment and costly too as you don't even make enough spins to see some decent pay in base game, let alone bonus rounds.

I mentioned this in the thread i started over 1 month ago, it is time we players unite and do something as it does not seem to get better, rather worse.

Same happened to me. Lost more money faffing about between game crashes , having to reload games, flow feeling interrupted , giving up and trying another game eventually busting out yet again with no playability or fun factor .I've screenshots but not sure how to post them from the mobile app.

Yits was in touch with me last week along about what errors I was experiencing and where I was based but nothing happened to help. I thought might as least get some kinda Good will gesture as they seem good like that . Alas , no reply and no goodwill gesture. I dunno ..guts has fast moved to the bottom of my list. I need new playing turf (see my post asking for good casinos for Irish based players )

    Xx

Can't be true, to be honest.

I played online since 1998 and used over the years anything from 56KB/s phone line, 112KB/s ISDN line to the whole range of broadband connections from 512MB/s to my present one with 50MB/s...... at no time did i have this high level of connection issues/game errors etc.

The data packets send between user/casino/game servers are a mere few bits, hence, connection speed is not a factor.

CPU cache neither, mobile players use phones with RAM of 1GB or even less, older type laptops have maybe 2GB, my current one has 4GB - all worked flawless until about 1 year ago when these connection issues surfaced and become a common appearance in the threads.

While one would think that the operators would do everything possible to minimize the problems, which by the way is for them at the same time loss of revenue, it seems that the amount and frequency of the issues is actually on the increase, quite drastic at that as well.

I think it is confirmed that the problems occur mostly isolated to some regions at the same time while other regions are unaffected. Since casino operations/game servers are run today on multiple server farms/cloud solutions I would bet my last shirt that it is one of the main causes for the disconnections/game errors. We don't know how many intermediary service providers are between us, the casino and the gaming providers; we don't know how many times our data packet races around the world before it is delivered back to us with the bet result.

It will cost the industry certainly a good chunk of cash to get on top of these problems but at the moment they seem reluctant to make the necessary investment. If they would do then we would not have this level of problems for over 1 year.

    My 2 1/2 cents.

I've had substantial problems with Chrome while Edge works pretty well (without any add ons). You might want to try that.

Playing at betsafe on Chrome I faced several errors all of the time and deleting cookies and cache (only from 24h) usually solves the issues for the time being.

I've tried all manner of browsers, yes even Opera, but in the end it makes no difference in regards to errors. Gameplay may be smoother (or appear to be) on certain platforms, but whilst the exact errors always replicate themselves eg "contact the help desk quoting...."

The problem needs to be addressed at the casinos' end, based on the assumption that the software provider has enough servers running (or the one server) and most punters have decent enough hardware to run the games.

Hence, it can only be that specific casino's fault, especially considering that gameplay runs seamlessly on some sites still. Yup, that's with the same main MG/Netent etc server and the same player hardware.

If the problem keeps persisting at one casino, and players continue to flag it up but it keeps being ignored then that just smacks of ignorance, doesn't it. It's saying that 60% of our players are happy with the service and the other 40% can go f*ck themselves, as long as the userbase remains the same.

The complainants will carry on regardless, maybe have a bitch and moan but still deposit and play using a broken service!

It's never going to change is it, casinos just don't take it seriously enough

Ain't that a fact, truest post I've seen on this matter.

Managers/reps probably do genuinely care but at the end of the day their hands are probably tied (and real tight at that!) and the constant battle to meet KPI's is their main agenda.

you really don't need anywhere near a 40mb connection to play slots!
I can stream HD with much less than that and that requires much more than a spin on a slot!

Just finished a VERY brief session at Guts.

Apart from getting my ass handed to me in a very painful way without mercy the WMS and Netent games seemed fine.

IR laggy as always and abandoned game very quickly, lost all interest and fed remaining £16 to Rhino without even looking at the screen!

Combination of an extended losing streak and not being able to play the games I really want to, knowing they will be 'disconnection city' the enjoyment, motivation and everything else is almost gone.

A new hobby is the way forward

Definitely nothing wrong with our internet, although it isn't the 100mbps Virgin tell us we're getting, it's usually around 50-70mbps.

    Hi all,

Just to let you know we're of course aware of this thread and the continued issues you guys experience on and off (outside of the general games downtime we had over the weekend for a while). It's still being discussed internally, and we now have on board our top senior software engineer who was part of the Guts team since the very beginning. He had since moved on to central platform in a more advanced and diverse role, but the founders have given green light for him to divert time to these issues specifically discussed here and PMed to myself.

Initially nothing clear he can see at first glance with the limited data perused thus far - but I'm meeting him again tomorrow afternoon and can assure you that we do what we can.

To relay my empathy on a more personal level: my attempts at replication on guts desktop usually fail, but I do indeed often experience more lag and timeout problems with MGS/quickfire titles than other providers - not only on Guts but even with some of our competitors.

And of course I also experience the same issues when occasionally playing in my free time for my own money. Though no casino specifically stands out for lag with me, I can tell you that I missed out on a significant reel race cash prize playing grim muerto (and you really need to twist my arm to make me play that game) at Casumo a few weeks ago - because all of sudden I couldn't finish my 40 or so remaining spins, while I was miles ahead in first place. I had won so much during the race before that, that I still finished in the money without playing all the spins - so you can imagine that in my mind I was a dead-cert to win. Fuming I was, but I also know it happens...and it was hard to discern from where the 20-minute interruption came - I saw that plenty of other players managed to carry on so there was no connecting heads or tails to it from my end. Support also could not really identify anything and told me that there were no reported issues for that given time.

That was just a little aside to display that I too experience these problems, and can not only empathize but get bloody mad about it too (albeit not like back in my poker grinding days...many a laptop smashed). I may of course care about KPIs like Jon correctly states, but let me say that game performance IS a top KPI :) So we can agree on that ;)

Will provide a thread update tomorrow afternoon - have to shoot off now as it's getting very late. Wishing you all the best, and may the lag-gremlins stay away for now.

    Yits

It's not the first time i'm wrong about sumthing  !!

    well explained and good post.

Just to add Sumthing here , It's about Frequency . broadband uses mostly (half power gain convention). which means he chooses for a DMN with high frequency to help u out .
However, unfortunately That's just in theory. In reality, that does'nt happens all the time an this could be different in diff areas / regions/ (Or even countries). which is why high speed internet conection could give ya sum privilege to get through the traffic with less trouble.
As for ur computer, I really do believe the more powerful ur laptop , the more ablty to deal with process . Just as you expect a disabled jump about 6 ft in the air , well ...... that ain't gonna be easy. is it ?
I do agree with u thet casino operations can indeed take sum actions to solve this problem (or atleast a part of it ). But That's gonna cost a lots of money . Lets just hope they take this in consideration.
Also agree with you that some companies took actions to restrict amount of budget in recent years an as a result, making more profits. Is it fair ?? No it's Not. Would I personally have done the same if I was them ??? yes I would. after all, everyone is up to make more money. it's a true nature of humanity ,, it's never enough an he is ungrateful ,, thr is nothing we can do about it my friend .
Although, we could give it a try an put our hope for sum improvement in future. . well in that case , u got my vote . that's for sure !!

btw, I apologize for late replay, got some problems this morning with sum kid at hom right after my first post, did'nt got time to chek my mail. hope u do'nt mind.

Cheers Syrus....no worries we have no time pressure or limit to post here on CM :)

The problems definitely occur somewhere in the connection/data transfer and to be honest, i do not even know who provides the last mile at my condo as my broadband provider does not have its own hardware. Then it goes on the speed highway all the way from Thailand to Malta, i am sure hardly anybody could find out how many shake hands/exchange points/etc are on the way. After Malta it goes to the game servers and yet again an unknown number of service providers in between. Last but not least that data packet has to travel all the way back to my laptop.

There are so many unknown/uncontrollable factors in this that it makes it a nightmare to find the root cause of our disconnection errors/game lag etc.. However, the industry is employing some of the finest experts on this and in my view they should be able to find a solution.

What that solution could be goes way ,way, way beyond my IT knowledge. One is sure, it won't be cheap and it won't go away overnight.

Just compare the current world with 40 years ago. The technology is developing day by day. has some advantages and disadvantages which we gonna ve to learn life with it. In the worst case, waiting for sum improvements in future.

cheers for rep an have good night !! Bed time ;)

Look, let's face it, if casinos were threatened with having their license revoked if they didn't improve their services you can bet your bottom dollar they'd be pulling up trees to sort out the problem.

Not solely a Guts problem but across all casinos, the gameplay is not up to scratch. If this were a videogame it'd get slaughtered and immediately patched to avoid further humiliation. Us gamblers put up with it though because we hope secretly that the casino elves are secretly working on the issues when in fact, they are not.

Even if the service was perfect, there might be a tiny percentage of players that experience difficulties due to individual hardware, service provider etc. But never on this scale.....this needs to be addressed between casinos and internet providers. Can't keep telling people to clear those damn cookies!
