I posted earlier about a check that golden had sent to me that was not honored. I am a rookie at this, but why can't their bank just credit my bank account (ACH?) the amount they owe. If they can draft money from my bank account, I would think they would have the ability to just credit the account as well.

this is frenchies wife. if any of you understand the previous post, im sure you have taken a bottle of tylenol to do so. lol. the first bank is a home town bank with little resources and the second bank he went to is a national bank. he recieved a draft which will not be deposited until it has went through collections which can take up to 3 to 4 weeks. due to the nature of the draft the national bank may not even send the draft through. if they dont does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the funds?

I am puzzled why a bank draft would take longer to clear than a check. A draft is like a check, except it is drawn on the bank itself, so it should not bounce due to lack of funds.

Anyone have any advice? Seems to be going downhill. Emailed them a few times and had no response. The 1-800-980-7818 support number rang and rang. Other times it would just hang up on me. Finally after 15th attempt got a hold of a guy that new nothing about my issue. He asked me to hold and after about 20 minutes on hold I gave up.

Got another 866 number to call today from osga.com and it hangs up after ringing five or six times.

WENT TO ANOTHER BANK TODAY WITH CHECK THEY REALLY INVESTIGATED THE CHECK AND IT IS GOOD JUST GOING TO TAKE TWO WEEKS TO 3 WEEKS TO CLEAR.

For a chunk of change that size I would open an offshore account.

I do wish I was more liquid right now, the mercenary in me says, 'Buy this debt'. There must be millions out there that people would be glad to let go of 25% of just to have it behind them.

Isn't there sort of a "statute of limitations" when it comes to checks...where banks are required to honor the funds X number of days after a check has been deposited?

got in touch with citibank and the routing number is from a branch they sold over a year ago. So i think that is why the other 2 banks didn't want anything to do with the check. anybody have a opion about it? Also called golden palace about this problem and talked to pit boss about this and asked "am i going to get my money" silence she didn't have one thing to say so i guess me getting my 19,845.00 is lost. If anybody has any ideas please reply. very frustrated in nc.

you said you had a local bank right? why not just deposit that check into your account, after all they cant stop you from depositing a check, and just sit on the money for 3-4 weeks, just dont state that you are worried if this check is going to clear. You have probably raised a ton of red flags already.

or open a savings account with this check, no harm done if it doesnt clear to the bank, you gain 19,000.00 if it does.

it wouldnt hurt to try, but at 1st I would just go to another bank and open an account , where they dont know the history of this check, which is what I suspect your bank does. I get checks from bodog all of the time and I just quiet;y deposited them into my account .

when you go to the teller, they dont look at the routing #!!!! you just have to make sure you dont touch the moneyfor a couple of weeks! last month I deposited 5 checks from bodog, I knew it looked kind of suspicious , especially since I have direct deposit from my job, but I just played it off like there was nothing out of the ordinary.

GOLDEN CASINO A FRAUD

Not sure who the baboon is.....that says this casino isnt a fraud...must be someone who works there. Not only did these dirtbags, string me along, but what kind of company gives you a bogus Fedex tracking number!! I spoke to there head of security (Louis) who called me multiple times...NOT EMAIL... My 2 dozen emails went unanswered and even sometimes returned as undeliverable. I spoke to him directly and still no check. My check was supposed to be sent Fedex...they give me a fedex number....I call fedex with the tracking number and it was PHONEY!
