Greetings all,

I received a "Managers Deposit" as a result of a loosing session. I managed to turn this into some winnings and made a couple of withdrawals back on 1/3 and 1/5. On 3/7 I recieved an email telling me I needed to fill out their fax back form for all credit cards I ever used at Golden Nile Casino. I called and was told that this was their policy even though I had not used any cards as this session was a managers deposit, not to mention that they already have all this info on file. I complied with the request and recieved a confirming email on 1/8. On 1/22 I checked on the status of my withdrawals an saw that they were declined. I called to find the reason and was told that the forms were not acceptable because I filled them out in MS Word and that I needed to print the forms out and fill them out by hand!

I am thinking that this is a ploy to frustrate players in hopes that they will play their winnings and loose at least some if not all of it. They really don't like you winning on a managers deposit.

I take it you need to sign the form, so it actually requires you to print it first.
Or do you use an electronic signature? Even if you do, the casino might require you to sign normally.

That's exactly how it is required, at least for any casino I've played at. You can't "sign" the document in Word, you need to print it out and sign it. If you want to email it, you'll need to scan that document and send it off.

Given the issue at hand here I think the original thread title, "Golden Nile Scam", is not reasonable, hence the change.

Still a scam

Greetings,

I filled out the form in MS Word, printed it out, signed it, scanned it, and then emailed it to them. Their argument is not that it wasn't signed but that it wasn't filled out by hand.

Greetings,

I filled out the form in MS Word, printed it out, signed it, scanned it, and then emailed it to them. Their argument is not that it wasn't signed but that it wasn't filled out by hand.

In that case, it seems they are intent on delaying as long as possible. It is the hand signature that is relevant legally, and given that they only receive a scanned copy, and not the form itself, and have all this info already, points strongly to them being pedantic in the hope you will play away the winnings.

Since you have the filled in version, print it off, and a copy of the original form, and just transfer the info by hand and sign it again, scan it, and send it off.

Their response will be very telling, either they will accept the form, or they will move onto the next stage by claiming the hand filled version is illegible.

I have filled in these forms in the past, and it IS true that they want a hand signature and a scanned copy, they don't trust the technology of electronic signatures, due to the possibility of fraud. Whether the withdrawal itself resulted from a card deposit is irrelevant, it is often the fact that a withdrawal has been made that triggers the security department to request a credit card form. Even if the card info is on file, it is possible that what they really want is a form to declare that you made the recent card deposits on the account, and not a case of them wanting to verify the cards all over again.

If they are on the level, sending the hand filled and signed version will get the withdrawal processed without further delay.
Sadly, there is no standard in this industry, so what works at one group will not work at another. In my cases, I have been sent forms that just need printing off and signing, all my deposits are already printed, and my signature is to verify that I agree that I made these deposits, and that I intended to, meaning I agree not to submit a chageback on any of them (the real reason for these forms).

I just wanted to back up VWM's statement...you may want to fill in the document by hand, sign it, scan it, and send that off.

I once worked for an agency that had to file various forms to the gov't. Each of these forms had to be filled out by hand, or they would be rejected.

I agree that it's definitely a stall tactic, but if you eliminate all of their reasons to stall payment, but yet they keep stalling, then their true colors come out :)

Exactly...

i filled out my form by hand and faxed over my docs after i had won on comp points and never had a problem with the casino, just me playing out my winnings.it had been approved and i played it out, what a dummy:eek:

The scam continues

Greetings,

So I filled out the forms by hand, signed them, scaned them, scaned the credit cards front and back, and sent all by email. I received an email acknowlegment of receipt of documents on 1/23. After 2 weeks of no movement, I called to find out the status of my withdrawals. I was told they had not reveived the requested documentation. I told them I had an acknowlegment email and gave them the Ticket Number. After a pause they stated that the front of one of the cards was not legible and I needed to resubmit. Of course I would not have sent anything that was not legible so the stall goes on. Stay tuned.

It'd almost be worthy of a PAB...It doesn't seem that they're going to quit stalling. First it was "you didn't fill the forms out correctly", then it's "we never received them", and when they were busted on that excuse they come back with they were illegible. I can understand the latest excuse if they were faxed, but has ANYONE had to rescan ANYTHING because they couldn't make it out? Think about it, why would a player KNOWINGLY send off something that they couldn't read themselves? I guess there's always the chance that an almost blind person is receiving documents on their end...

Could you elaborate as to what sort of forms and why? The only context I can think of where it matters whether something was hand-written or not is wills. A holographic (hand-written and signed by the testator) is typically valid without having to be witnessed, whereas the signature on a will written by someone else or typed by the testator has to be witnessed or notarized.

It had to do with Medicare & certain health records.
