Getting pretty annoyed by KYC related badgering

Ok,

so I send these every time they're asked of me and I guess I understand why it's done so I generally do not whine about it. I did this today too and at the same time I decided I won't be joining any other casino in the near future. Why? Because it's pretty tiresome trying to make sense to people about things that are pretty common place, and it's also pretty tiresome trying to take screenshots and mobile phone photos of irrelevant documents in hopes of pleasing some customer rep who doesn't even understand what the papers are for (unless they're from the same country I am from).

What I don't understand is how they refuse to understand that I haven't had a frequent paper bill drop in my mailbox for a few years now. I am not the only one with this kind of thing, in fact most people I know don't get paper bills. I don't know is it a scandinavian thing only? Every utility bill that I have to pay, is electronic. My rent raises once a year, and once a year, just once, I get one sheet of paper telling me how much my rent is and where to pay it. Phone bill, electricity bill, rent+water, you name it: it's electronic.

I guess I could go about it a different way, and get myself some actual paper bills for the customer service neanderthals, but:

1)they cost money to get these days
2)why waste paper
3)I'm not a caveman

To me this is the equivalent of asking for an ingame screenshot request and then asking it to be sent on a paper film via snail mail, preferrably kodak and a colour version. Why not go full ludicrous and ask for a telegram???

It's the reason I don't really register at new casinos anymore. If there's a good free spin offer knocking about I might, but the thought of being hassled and going through the same decrebit rituals gets on my nerves.

Like mentioned, no one receives paper- billing anymore realistically, so KYC is becoming more tiresome. Just happy to alternate between my regular casinos knowing that not only will I be paid for sure, but that I won't have to go through the same old rigmarole of scouring the flat for something that vaguely resembles a utilty bill :eek2:

well its good business sense to make it difficult and tiresome to verify your account. gives those pesky winners plenty of time and frustration to play back their funds!

I am pretty sure if casinos were forced to verify customers before deposits, the process would be super quick and effortless!

Well, i can raise that level of difficulty by a notch as all communication i get is in Thai language :D

- phone - no bills, is prepaid
- utility - is charged to my monthly rental bill for the condo - full Thai text, even the condo address and date, to top it off my name misspelled although i asked twice to have it corrected.
- broadband - no bills, free WiFi at the condo (well, included in the monthly rental)
- bank statement - only online

I haven't registered with a new casino in 6 months now and won't for some time as i am perfectly OK with the 5 regular hangouts i have right now. To sign-up to a new place just because of some SUB, FS or the likes is just not enough to go through all the hassle

My only monthly bill i have, the rental; the inked out part is my passport number. Notice the date - 14 June 2559 (Thai Calendar), nobody seems to understand that at any casino, an easy Google search would give them the information

What casinos need to wake up to is that this is putting people off from signing up somewhere new. This makes it much harder for casinos to attract new players.

We have discussed the demise of the welcome bonus, but maybe there is something else the casinos can use.

So far I have been lucky, scan of my drive license / bank card or a snap shot of skrill, and bill in a pdf format,

I agree we are in a digital world now and shouldn't be no need for all the hassle, Its a pointless exercise to me as I will bet 95% of the time they do not even get looked at, But here comes the kicker, WHY only asked when withdraw? If your reaching that limit where docs will be needed pay out the winnings and send an email asking,

Happend to me the other day at casumo, It was sorted out in about 1 hour but they reversed the cash back to my account, Without letting me know,

This constantly baffles me for one simple reason; as previously mentioned, it's 2016. It's a straightforward process for any online casino to check the files of Credit Reference Agencies and immediately they know everything about you is correct - both player's age and address can be verified this way and actually this electronic verification process IS used by some casino operators (I know because some of my gaming accounts have been verified using this method) which begs the question, why don't they all just do it like this? Surely it makes sense for both players and casinos' alike, cutting out completely the need for time and effort required by both sides to process documents - and surely it's much more secure!

I suspect it costs casinos more because they have to pay for each search, whereas with players doing the donkey work of scanning and sending documents for free, they only have to pay someone to look at them, they have obtained the data for free from the player.

Unfortunately, this leaves the player fully in control of what the casinos get to see, so of course clever forgeries can be a big problem. Players have little control over their credit files, the reference agencies get their information from the electoral roll, banks, energy firms, etc. If a player wanted to change data on their credit file, it's not that simple, they have to produce evidence that the data recorded is wrong, and they also have to provide evidence that the data they want to have recorded instead is true.

It's the push for electronic billing from the very top (government) that is making the paper document extinct, or at least endangered. Now the default is electronic billing, you have to make a fuss to get paper billing switched on. In the past, the default was paper bills, and it was the tech savvy that were invited to try out electronic billing.

Of course, this idea that it's about the environment is total bullshit, otherwise it would be easy to opt for electronic only junk mail and leaflets too, and these are where the real paper wastage comes from, not the odd paper bill printed on both sides once a month, or even once a quarter. We are even told that we should accept all this waste paper through the letterbox as it's what keeps the royal mail universal service viable. If there was no junk mail, the royal mail would not be sustainable, and we would have the kind of service they have in the US, where urban areas have the postbox at the bottom of the drive, and in some rural areas you are expected to fetch your mail from a local post office.
