Games being removed from the 32Red download casino

Hi, I've been using the 32Red download/premium casino for years to play my favourite games, (Multiplayer Isis specifically but also IR, TSII, TFROL, MM and Playboy). A few days ago, I noticed my favourites list was a lot shorter and the one I play all the time, Multiplayer Isis, had disappeared. This happened once before in November 2015 and then it came back in January 2016.

I also found that MP Playboy has been removed. What's strange is all of the other MP games are still there and they hardly ever have players. The two most popular, MP Isis and MP Playboy have gone. I then saw that, although IR and TSII were still listed, TFROL and the standard Playboy game had gone as well.

After contacting 32Red support, they've said they're trying to encourage people to use the browser version of their site and at some point, the download casino won't be available at all. The problem here is that none of the multiplayer games from the download version are on their website and from the chat advisor's lack of response, they're not going to be.

Secondly, I hate the browser versions of my favourite games. I like playing them in the download casino because they're full screen and changing the stake is much easier with + and - buttons than having to click the stake button to open a new window and then changing the slider bar on the browser versions. I also hate the fact that the browser versions of these games seem tiny because they're just a small square in the middle of the screen on top of a background.

I've been with 32Red for years and spend a lot every month playing MP Isis and now I've got no reason to play there. MP Isis was always a popular game and had multiple rooms with a lot of players day and night, so it's a really odd decision.

Do any of you play at other MG casinos where a download version is available and still has MP Isis listed? I'm trying to work out if this is just a 32Red decision or a MG forced one...

Thanks :)

Are you not aware that Flash is now being discontinued? Flash download casinos will no longer work...... Support should probably have told you this if you contacted them, unless of course you got an agent that was unaware of it.

But this is probably the reason why your list of slots is far less now. They will be ending access to the download casinos in December, that is the deadline for flash. After that Flash is then discontinued, no more updates etc etc and browsers will be the only way to play at online casinos after December............

I hope this helps.........

Also there is going to be a lot of unhappy gamblers of old MG slots. They have a large portfolio which they still have not migrated to html5 so it basically means they will not be able to be played after December unless MG actually migrate all of their slots over to html5, they have been very slow in migrating some slots already, they have taken a long long time. I would say they have probably only migrated about 20% of their slot portfolio so far. so as you can see only 3 months left until the deadline, so 80% of slots will be gone forever until they migrate them..

Migrating slots from flash to html5 is painful and slow process, as they basically have to redo the whole slot again......... It is not as easy as it might appear either. So that is also why it has taken them a long time to migrate them.........

MG is basically the slot provider who has the biggest slot portfolio in the world, so that might also explain why they are struggling.

They are migrating the most popular slots first before others. But some they will probably just discontinue completely and not bother migrating them, which is a shame but it is how it is, nothing we can do about it. I too have some favourite MG slots from years ago too that I will miss.

Hi Adder,

Thanks for the Post.

As DreamRJ (thanks) correctly states there are lots of older MG games that have been decommissioned, a combination of flash support ending and also older games that didn’t comply to the new BGC/UKGC requirements for spin speed and slam stop etc.

Not all are permanent removals but given the fact a lot of these games get little play these days I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t come back I’m afraid.

Also I don’t meant to bring even more negativity to this post but the download casino may also not be around for much longer :(

It's a shame they couldn't do justice to some of the original viper games with the replacement HTML5 versions (TSII, IR etc). Even the Flash browser-based versions, were never quite as good as the Viper.

Instead, they were happy to throw out error-riddled HTML5 games, which look and perform like cheap copies.
One expects to see 'Made in China' written at the bottom of the screen.

I'm pretty sure they also took the opportunity to 'tinker' with the maths. But that's something that would never be admitted to. So it's a moot point

They can not *tinker* with the maths, if they did that then they would have to get the slot re-tested before it gets rolled out again. RNG's that get tweaked always have to get re-tested by law..........

The new HTML5 versions of MG slots are universally awful.

They had a magnificent back-catalogue of great slots and they've basically just shit on the whole lot from a great height.

I was never able to get the Viper Client working properly on Windows 10 so I was out at that point (Mark from 32Red did try to assist in that regard), hence it's been a while since I've played games on it.

In the current climate of mega-HV slots that people find rips them a new arsehole most sessions, there could really be a place for gentle old games such as Boogie Monsters and whatnot.

I agree. I can't stand Immortal Romance or BDBA ... slots I used to love on flash.

Played them once and never again. Like some have mentioned here, the quickfire HTML5 versions are badly sized on most sites. Just a small box in the middle of the screen.

You would think that MG, being such a giant in the Igaming world, would have at least done something to make them work.

Take the original DoA and the new one as examples. Players have accepted NetEnts new version and play continues.

The same can't be said for MG sadly.

Once any core software module is changed in any way, They need to re-test anyway.
Hence why I said "took the opportunity"

Well they do not publicly announce when they do tinker with the RNG when migrating....... Why would they?! As long as they have prove the new version has been re-tested, that is all that matters......

So perhaps they might have tinkered with the RNG and got their RNG re-tested without publicly announcing it....

Sad times indeed.

I made a visit to an old friend earlier this week, although my TS II and IR were sill there on download and gave me a little paly time, I have to say I was gutted at what the new UKGC rulings have done to the Thunderstruck original.

It is ruined and spins like something from 1995, not casinos fault nor MGS but more stress and adding to the downside one again, bravo UKGC!

I can play allmost any microgaming game but what I did notice is that for games like jurassic park I always have to give permission to chrome to enable flash. Soon indeed this is not available anymore. So what to do play the shitty new games from microgaming that play like high volatility games with very very very low payouts?

I usually just avoid microgaming in general. I once had a big win on playboy and thunder kick II isn't that bad when it's in the mood, which it's often not. Just yesterday it took 400 EUR on 1.20 bet without giving any scatters. When it's in a good mood with the same balance I would get like 10 x fee spins and often get a nice boost on my bankroll.

As an avid fan of MG 243 ways, I can't say I am pleased to hear this.
That said, I knew the day was coming.

Viper is so superior to HTML5 in so many ways, it is actually frightening.
The HTML5 versions are awful, particularly on IR.
I actually would feel more confident of getting a decent game for my money while playing IR on Viper at £3 a spin than I would playing IR on HTML5 at 90p a spin. The same would apply to Finer Reels and Playboy, even GOT.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Add to that the fact you can't play Jurassic Park on HTML5 (yet the woeful Jurassic World is available - Brav-f*cking-O MG  ).

And DO NOT get me started on the classic 9 liners like BDBA, TS1 and Agent Jane.
And the inability to change the number of lines you can play, which is sometimes NECESSARY in order to zero your balance and successfully "kill/terminate" your bonus.

All in all, one depressing situation for us old schoolers who loved the MG catalogue pre-2015.

Been using Centurion Megaways for killing off bonus funds as you can gamble your 2p balance for a quid spin etc. But yeah, pain in the arse especially when some sites don't even have a cancel bonus funds button.

Re IR - i was having the same convo only last week - in the old, proper version, you (well, I did) used to say '30 quid i'm going down by, so some 3 quid spins?' - Now, never go above 90p in the HTML5 - sorry, re-tested or not or changed or not changed, whatever, that is not the same game. IR made up 90% of my play over a good few years so it's not hard to spot a fake Rolex.

Plus, as a holder of 13 or so 4 reel wild desires - Why, on God's heavenly earth, did they make Wild Desire only go left to right? So, hit it on the 5th reel and you know it's over? Whole joy in WD was when 'oh, there's another one!' Utter pish.

Both flash and viper IR were the BOMB!

MG were, for years the ONLY provider I played, a few exceptions crept in in later years but they were still where I headed 90% of the time.

Slowly I was 'forced' away, the intro of HTML5, my bonus bans across the Caddell network, end of the awesome slotsmeister at 32 Red and then the wonderful UKGC and its back of a fag packet rules.

I do try not to be negative all of the time, however the way the industry has headed in the past few years (granted not all is under their control, EG flash) has made this very difficult indeed.

This being said, when I hear "HTML5 is awesome, you can do so much more etc" said, then we should be commenting along the lines of "remember how clunky flash was compared to today's awesome games" not the other way around, don't get me started on Raging Rhino

Said this before but Fridays were simply the best, early finish from work, takeaway tea followed by a £25 dipper with a 100% match up offer (with fair wagering!) at 32 Red for some proper slotting, the way its meant to be!

is there a definitive list of what is now gone?
didn't the casinos ever stop to think 'hmm maybe no one is playing these games cos they are only available on our decades old pos viper download client?'

Nothing is gone yet. Depends on wich casino you play and if you think MG won't change their old games to HTML by 2021 I don't know what to say. You guys think MG likes to lose money? Their new games are shit and I bet the most played MG games are still their old games. However that being said MG is old news. The only loyal player base they have are old slotters as far as I can see. So they have no choice to upgrade all of their games or allmost all to newer HTML version or they'll just simply go bankrupt. It's almost 2021 people. Or maybe I just don't have a fucking clue what I'm saying an most people play their new games which have such low payouts that you want to search the MG headquarters yourself and slap them.

Also microgaming has been one of the worst paying provider to me next to well what else could it be BTG.

From experiences players I would like to know between the old IM versions and new one.I have never ever ever ever gotten those wildlines. Two wildlines were the best I got after spending a few k on that SHIT game.

Thanks for all your feedback and it’s interesting to read that I’m not alone in what I think of the new HTML5 versions of MG’s classic games.

I was aware that Flash support is being discontinued, but didn’t think about how that would affect the download casino already and without any warning. It would’ve been nice if 32Red could’ve just had a message on the home screen when launching the casino to mention the proposed changes and the need to start using the browser version. They could’ve also explained that games might start to disappear as they’re being migrated so the player doesn’t think something is wrong with their installation.

I suspect the game that used to drain most of my balance, Multiplayer Isis, won’t be migrated to HTML5 because there aren’t any of those style multiplayer games on the browser versions. I know there are live games with various players, but not in the same way as MP Isis, MP Playboy, MP Avalon etc.

I have to admit that the only MP game I played was MP Isis because you could regularly win big as much as lose if you picked the right time to join a room. I know that the other MP games weren’t as popular because they required you to continually spin to keep your multiplier up and they were a massive balance drain. In comparison, the reason MP Isis was so popular is that you build up your multiplier every time you got 2 scatters and you could leave the room or even the game and come back to it later and you’d still have your multiplier until the free spin bonus round started.

It always had a load of players with a few regulars spending $/€/£10 per spin so they certainly made a lot of money from that slot. I don’t understand why it’s one of the first to be removed as it didn’t have the slam stop option and the spins were definitely more than 2.5 seconds apart so it conforms to the new UKGC regulations. What’s annoying is that the other MP games are still there and nobody plays those! I don’t hold out any hope of seeing a browser version of MP Isis which is a shame because over the years I made a number of friends who regularly played it like me and we’d have a good laugh. If they ever do migrate it, they need to keep it the same and not change it to work in the same way as the other MP games though as that’s what made it so popular.

I have to agree with everyone about the other classics, IR, TS1 and II, TFROL and Playboy. The new HTML versions are terrible and buggy as well. Apart from being tiny in the middle of the screen, most have lost the autoplay option, if you change the stake on TSII using a PC browser and then move the mouse, it’ll swipe the screen left and right, (to coin value or paytable) as if you’re playing on a tablet. TSII and TFROL also have bugs where once you have an achievement, this appears after every spin overlaying the screen so you can see what you won...the list goes on…!

I’ve already found myself playing games from other providers and like most browser ones, they definitely don’t seem to have the same RTP of the original or older games. I can do hundreds of spins at different stakes and not see one bonus and recently, this happens day after day.

Thanks again for clarifying everything DreamRJ and Mark and everyone else for your feedback!

Please Microgaming, make sure you migrate Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 before December. Don't think I could function without my weekly fix, some of the other I can live without, and can just about bear the HTML5 versions of the others.

The possibility that Jurassic Park may be binned for good is a concern to me.
