Gambling companies checking houses prices???.

I lost in my flat and I never received any bets but when I lose in my house they given me free bets. I lose and ask if I can have a free bet and they say here you go. The promotional letters and emails with free offers.

I think the word coincidence is valid here...
The change of address is likely irrelevant

Almost sounds like credit card companies which this does indeed happen. Once I moved into my own place I was getting offers even with places I had no previous business with so this is not that far fetched.

Just out of mild curiosity..... did your credit score change when you moved areas?
I know that mine increased.
It might be a logical ‘fail safe’ way to ensure problem gamblers (those who are most likely to have a lower than average score) are monitored as the basic credit records (soft searches) are readily available.
I have noticed a slight increase in ‘casino related’ soft searches on my file but assumed this was KYC type stuff.

Just doing the random- middle of the night - thinking out loud twaddle sorry x

Credit scores are complete and utter meaningless the only person who can see it is yourself.
The score tripe was a marketing ploy before the days of free reports I payed £14.99 a month and got hung up on my score doing everything in my power to protect it.
It was my daughter who informed me it was a number only I could see and meant diddle squat her being a manager with Lloyds group.
When a company carries out a credit check it's your report which they look at,casinos carrying out soft searches is only to confirm identity via linked accounts and electrol roll.

Just typing random middle of the night bollocks lol

Thanks for the insider info x always good to know.

Somehow find it surprising though that I got a substantial mortgage in principle from a soft check...

Basically the whole time at university I asked for free bets none received after I moved to my house after a few days I received endless promotions and emails from the same casino. The only change was address.

What if they think I am vulruable . That they can rinse me for all my money. I spoke to a friend and he said gambling companies want every penny from you and don't care if you end up homeless. If I redeem every offer they gave me they be able to tell I am vulruable and would bombard me with even more offers to hook me on their slots and receive money . Maybe the person who rented my house while at university was a problem gambler and lost a lot at the casino and they might think we where connected so I would lose a lot as well.

For someone who went to university, owns “a few properties in London” and is only 30 years old you seem a bit naive in other departments.

To have achieved this at your age you were either left them or you are a mega smart cookie that earns a fantastic amount of money.

If this is the case what the hell do you want to gamble for?

I have addictive personality so I got hooked on gambling . I have cooled down this year. Everyone I know has told me I don't need to gamble. I should never have started.

Ok I can understand that. Did these offers coincide or come relatively close to the time you also started increasing amounts and regularity of deposits?

If you don’t mind me asking what do you do for a living or do you have enough money that you don’t have to work?

Deposit have always been the same, only when I changed the address after a few day it started. I had to send Id for new address and as soon as that was verified . It all started. I work in the oil industry. I can't give much information as don't want employee knowing I gamble.

Deposits the same has never changed . Everytime I asked for a free bet or credit I never got it. Even asked why I didn't receive any on my account. They would say we don't give out free bets or credit on live chat . As soon as I moved to my house with the same deposits. I asked for a free bet and I received it. I also recieved free bets and credit through emails and letters through my post box. How embrassing.

You have option to opt-out from all their promotional offers and problem solved. Not sure about casino in question but if you don't find these settings, i'm sure support will assist you.

Based on your story and your own opinion that you that you have addictive personality, got hooked on gambling which you never shouldn't start, i really would consider Gamstop to self-exclude you from gambling to prevent any further harm (about your repetitive postings, it can feel that you are little bit out of control from your gambling and making this huge issue that you keep receiving offers etc... might be better just stop), it really might be best option to self-exclude yourself from all online gambling.

Unless you believe the casino had reason to believe you are a problem gambler, they have done nothing wrong by sending you promotional emails. As far as they're concerned, you keep depositing and taking promotions, you look like a happy customer. They probably do focus more marketing efforts on people they believe have more discretionary money to spend, and they are allowed to do that. Whether they care about your well-being or would feel entirely indifferent to you being penniless is irrelevant to the issue at hand.

It is starting to sound like you are looking for excuses. If you believe you have a gambling problem, the first thing to do is to accept that the money you have lost up until now is gone. You aren't getting it back through the UKGC. You have no case that they were intentionally trying to turn you into an addict merely by sending you promotions unless, as I said above, they had specific reason to believe you are a problem gambler.

The second step is to work to set up limits and restrictions on your play - in the next couple of days - the sooner the better - to try to minimize the chance that you will harm yourself. That is, if you believe you have a gambling problem or are at high risk of developing one.

I wish you well and you can see if others here have different opinions than myself, but I don't think you have much of a case here, either legally or even morally.

I'm not looking for money back. They where fined for the same stuff that happen to me. I just wanted the ukgc to know how they target customer and should be against responsible gambling.

Person 1 live in flats never receive any offers or free bets.
Person 1 moves to into bigger house with good postcode. That person gets targeted.

I understand if it happened after a month but it happened after a few days. I don't know what they do internally.

As I said, there is no reason they can't direct more marketing efforts to people they believe have more money. Even if you're completely correct, there is no issue there. Unless they're sending you a dozen offers a day, simply sending you promotional offers will not reasonably be seen as attempting to turn you into an addict.

Good luck.

Have they been fined about sending offers to somebody? You really seem to be bit overreacting and no in full control by repeating this same point over and over, i still recommend you to self-exclude yourself from gambling, you don't really feel to be in state that you should gamble by any means.

You studied at university and are in work life. Many businesses are targeting different segments by their promotions and marketing based on how they want to segment their customers. Simply even women and men can receive very different marketing materials from different companies who are mainly getting their revenue from other ones, many cosmetic products which "are making" your skin to look 20 years younger are more targeted to emails of people over 20 years old....

Instead of posting this same story here multiple times, stop gambling or at least take a break from that and if that will give you peace of mind, write your story to UKGC and they are aware about how you feel, it would help if you have something to back up your story that there can't be any other coincidence like a certain amount of days since you last XXX, certain total threshold triggered brought you to different segment or any other thing what could make you customer they think they want to provide these offers.....
