Gamble option on MG feature slots

I remember reading on a thread not long ago about wether or not doubling up on VP counted towards wager requirements/comp points.

So I was wondering, what about the gamble option on Thunderstruck, Tally Ho, etc??? Does anyone know if this counts towards WR?

For the record, does anyone actually use that option?

The thread you remember would have said that doubling on VP doesn't count for anything (although its free odds so no harm in doing it).

Can't see why slots would be any different
