they don't get shut down because of the banter* - thats part of any thread. I sincerely doubt @Casinomeister gives a toss about the mild filler (polite discourse) - it's the shilly/spammy promos that inevitably get dropped about which kills the threads.

Up until a year ot two ago there would not have been a problem as free spins threads never existed. It was never that type of forum.

But guess with different type of members Bryan must have mellowed in his old age and allowed these threads lol.

It was closed because people were posting a lot of links to casinos, both bad and good ones, and to other affiliates. Not very nice or smart.
If this thread is clean then I guess there will be no problems.

I didn't notice and was more peeved by the amount of stupid 'banter' rather than offers being posted personally.

Right, this thread is being closed, at least for now.

1. It's a direct replacement for the one Bryan just closed.

2. Knowing he's made the above decision, it may be deemed a tad disrespectful to open another one the same within 24 hours.

3. These threads take an inordinate amount of time to moderate as they attract the shills, assclowns and spammers.

4. I think this needs passing up the chain so some official CM guidelines regarding this type of thread can be established for all the forum members, if it is to be reopened or allowed at all.

5. The only way I can see this type of thread working in future is if ALL comments are pre-moderated or if only members of a certain standing can post in it, in both instances more hassle.

Please bear with me because I am knee-deep in grenade pins dealing with and writing up the awards. It is a massive amount of work, and I can't really address too much else in the forum for the moment.

Just because I took a quick peek at the thread doesn't mean I agree with it.

But here is the deal - I really want to get a freebie thread back up because this is something you want. I get it. I'm not stupid, and I'm not a forum fascist.

If you could possible hold off for a few days on the freebie stuff, that would be great. I would like to start up a thread for each month like we do with the screenshots. This way it is actually organized - and I know many of these free offers expire, and who wants to wade though a few hundred postings? So it needs to be organized.

Also, there will be rules. You gotta respect the fact that I have bills and salaries to pay. So if you are posting offers - please do this for the accred casinos with a link to their review page at CM. If it's a grey zone casino, please use discretion - maybe read the casino's review to make sure it's not leaning to the side of dodginess. And if the casino is in the rogue pit - well, I shouldn't have to explain why we can allow freebies for those.

No links to any competitor sites. I'm sure they would have a shit fit if I sent a bunch of members to their sites to post links to our freebies. So please respect my wishes on keeping things in-house.

Also, if you are seeing some brilliant offers elsewhere and you think that they should be listed here, please contact @LadyJelena so that she is aware of them. Jelena is my accounts manager and is the person who is making sure you are getting some great offers here.

So anyway, I hope to have this going in a few days once the smoke clears. It would also be great if some of you MMs or senior members could volunteer to keep this in order. I don't want to be your Spaßbremse, but we must have order.
