OK, alright, me and self are off to play now at "Cleopatra's Coins" as was stated is required in the email posted above... "Exhibit A"

Started off betting 15cents a spin and finished out betting 45cents a spin.

So weeze finish playing "Cleopatra's Coins" at around 133 bets (wagers) total. Notice in the email that it only said I needed to "place at least 50 wagers on the Cleopatra's Coins slot machine" and I just wanted to make sure I had my bases covered properly by playing to a total of 133 bets (wagers)

Also notice that it did not state a minimum bet size was required, but I never bet less that the 15cents that I started out with since it is a 15 line slot machine anyway.

Now, to get to the point of my post here...:p As you will notice it said in the above email promotion that:

Once you have placed the 50 wagers and have completed your 100% promotion you will automatically be awarded $25! All you have to do is log out of the casino and then log back in and your bonus will be there waiting for you!

So weeze manage to finally lose our total starting balance of $50 and we "Zero" out. I log out of the casino and close it out. I then proceed to re-open it, log-in and go to the cashier where to my and self's surprise there is no Free $25 showing up here for Ole Rob and self...:eek2: Self said WTF !! I also agreed, as I tried to calm self down a bit. So weeze decide to go and get on chat and check out WTF is going on....

Tyrone: Yes, that is how it supposed to work, however it appears that there is a small problem with this, which is why I have to forward this.
Robert: ok, I understand
Robert: thanks for your help Tyrone

Tyrone: You are very welcome.
Tyrone: Thank you for understanding.

Robert: ok, have a good one

Well it turns out that there is a bigger problem with this promotion than Tyrone had originally suspected as you can see from the email response that I received from Don earlier...

"Exhibit D"
Dear Robert X,

Following up on your chat with live help.

Unfortunately your account is not eligible to receive the Cleopatra's Coins bonus, it was required that you place 50 wagers on the game Cleopatra's Coins, which unfortunately was not done.

Thank you for understanding.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Sincerely,
Don

Self is now totally pissed :p and I have to get him a beer while I try to wrap my thoughts around this one, self could not stay focused long enough here and the beer didn't help him much either..

So I manage to finally get our thoughts together and reply to this email as you can read here, NOTE: The colorful language was self's idea, he is still pissed about this, you guys know that i usually tend to use more tact and self restraint than self did here in the email....

"Exhibit E"
What the hell are you guys smoking over there?? Can I have some?? LOL

I have attached 8 pics here of my play history for my last session there that begs to differ with your ambiguous findings. I placed 133 bets (wagers) on Cleopatra's Coins as you will see if you go back and look at my account again or look at the (8) pictures that I have attached here. The bets were placed between the hours of 0:50:50AM and then finished at 1:01:32AM! The beginning bets were $0.15c's each and finished at $0.45c's each.

This is ridiculous and very un-professional that you would even send me the email below stating such nonsense. I am even one of your affiliates and it actually scares the hell out of me right now to think I am promoting you guys as a reputable casino to my customers here.

I would hate to think that I may send you a customer and they will receive this same type of bullshit and un-professional treatment that I did here. You can keep your damn $25 as far as I am concerned right now. I would hope that in the future you check your details quite a bit more thoroughly before you reply back to a customer with this type of nonsense.

Sincerely,

Robert X

Ok...so just now I receive this email back from Richard over there stating:

Dear Robert X,

Following up on your email.

Please be informed that the total wagering has to be $50 not 50 spins.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Have a nice day.

Sincerely,
Richard

Self is really getting to the point of being hogtied down and sedated now...:eek2:

Exactly where in the hell did it state in the original promotion email "Exhibit A" above and below, that the "total wagering has to be $50 not 50 spins"

WTF is up with most of these online casinos anymore and I have even been promoting these guys for gawds sake...jeeze us

Just so there is no discrepancy here between me, self and the casino in question...here is the original email promotion offer:

Rob, it has gotten to where you have to be a genius to figure out what some of these casinos are trying to say. (Screw you comes across pretty well though.)

I have done these promos at Sloto and they usually say $50 wagered. So it really doesn't matter if you make $.15 spins or $1.50 spins. But if you deposited $25 and got $25 and lost all of it on Cleo, you wagered $50. Right?

And I have dealt with Tyrone before. Depends on what humor he is in as to how he deals with things.

That's just the thing though, it only "clearly" states in the email above "50 Wagers" which most peeps will take that to mean 50 spins or 50 bets. It did not state $50 dollars in wagers with no emphasis at all or whatsoever on the missing $ or the word "Dollar"...it only stated "wagers"

A wager to 99.9% of casino players is taken to mean any bet size amount...as in a wager is a wager is a wager is a bet or a spin...;):D

noun
1. something risked or staked on an uncertain event; bet: to place a wager on a soccer match.
2. the act of betting.
3. the subject or terms of a bet.
4. Early English Law. a pledge to make good one's cause by the supporting oaths of others or by battle.

I hope you are not going to give up on this. The casino clearly owes you $25 dollars as it does to any and all that took them up on this offer and played according to the offer as printed. What the hell is wrong with Rival casinos lately? It is one thing after another with them now. I have seen, read and experienced MORE than enough to never go near another one. To quote my dear departed brother Brian, " I would'nt _ _ _ k em with your _ _ _ k". :)

Rob and Self

:lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup::lolup:

I was feeling crappy after a deposit went straight to zero, then I read Rob's and His Self's thread. So funny. It made my day. Those terms are deceptive, I was really close to taking them up on it, glad I didn't. I would have played just like you did.

P.S. I know a guy you can see, rhymes with smhyciatrist. No one has to know but you and him:)

50 wagers = 50 wagers. If they meant $50 in wagers then they should have explicitly said so.

If you were smart, you would have placed 50 wagers of .01, then spent the remaining $49.50+ in $1+ spins....because by then you'd be freerolling..:D

But seriously, I'd PAB on this one for sheer principal alone.

" I would'nt _ _ _ k em with your _ _ _ k". :)

Oh goody, a puzzle!!! :D

Seriously Rob, do you really want me to comment? You know what I'm going to say right? :D

50 wagers or $50, you've met the requirements of the offer, no two ways about it. And so would have everyone who played it. The minimum deposit at Rival as far as I knew when I played there was $25, so it would be impossible for you to start with less than $50 in your account. Even if you got a zero percent return on your play, you've STILL met the WR.

Absolutely unreal. They can't even get the terms/wording right, and then they can't even grasp the concept that either way, the wagering has been fulfilled. Bunch of dipshits. Wonder how many university degrees it takes to get a job there?

You know I really hate the fact that some of these Rival Casino's that I have been promoting are having all of these blatant issues as I still think they can be a great casino service provider if they would only get their head out of their a$$. But in order for me to be a truly good and honest affiliate and look out for my players, I had to bring this issue to light here. And I hope you guys know that this was not about the $25 dollars as I told them in the reply email that I posted, but rather the principle of the whole deal here.

If they will treat one of their affiliates like this then how in the hell are they going to treat the average player, you know. One more to remove from my site now. Damn that's two Rival casinos in two weeks that I have had to remove now, but seriously, for me it's the right thing to do. I made a promise to "self" when I became an affiliate and I do intend to keep that promise.

It may cost me money, but if that was the only reason that I became an affiliate I would not be removing them, but then I would also not be the principled person that I am..:) There's a few more that might not make the summer rains if they don't get their act together as well..;)

Well Robwin, you are clearly now screwed, because you have now opted out of their promotion

Sounds a lot like a runaround I got at a CasinoRewards partner quite some time back.

To the best of my recollection, they did require a certain $ value of play on a certain slot to get a number of freespins on Osbornes (value $12.50). Completed play, freespins not there, contacted support. They are having "issues" with promotion, check back in 48 hrs.

Check back in 48 hrs...I didn't play necessary spins. Oh yes I did, pull up my playcheck and quote the ref numbers. "Sorry for my bad counting" says support, should be in your casino in two hours. Not there in two, still problems crediting freespins says polite CSR. Check back in 24hrs.

Okay, a post deposit freespin bonus does require a certain software to be in place on the part of the provider. But I'm getting a little impatient, so I tell CSR if you can't get promo to work, just give me the $12.50 in bonus cash. I'll check in 24 hrs, if not there, I am willing to accept $12.50 in my account, even willing to play them on the Osbornes (one of my fav's, no hardship). But the bonus was there, and I played it. Can't recall how I did, but not the point.

I spent over four hours on this issue. I ofttimes think that casinos that regularly make customers contact them over and over, or create obstacles that result in PAB's do so deliberately because so many players will give up for small sums of money rather than waste their time pursuing it.

But Robwin, you did say you didn't want the bonus anymore...we have your chat to vouch for it.

We are always saying we don't want bonuses thrust upon us and we should be able to opt out:lolup:

Exactly, I could not care any less for that bonus than I do right now. Like I said in the post right before yours in the last sentence of the first paragraph...

"And I hope you guys know that this was not about the $25 dollars as I told them in the reply email that I posted, but rather the principle of the whole deal here".

Hell, I can pi$$ $25 dollar bills :p, this thread was never about the $25 dollar bonus, sorry you took it that way..:o

I'm looking out for my players here that have signed up thru my site to this casino. Any casino that will treat their players like this and be totally asinine as far as understanding their own damn T's and C's is not deserving to be listed at any of "TheGamblingGurus" sites...bottom line.

Rob, I was poking a bit of fun at you. But personally I would have pursued it, why wouldn't it be about the $25 bonus...you played as requested given this enticement.

I do understand that casinos can have problems...But that is their mistake. Not yours. Now that you have said you don't want it, I don't think you can pursue it further to know whether they would have ponied up in the end.

I do think some casinos rely on players just giving up on such matters, just as you did.

Crummy behaviour indeed.

I encountered a similar problem with slotocash several months ago. They realised that the promo terms were ambiguous and credited me with the bonus subsequently.

Just to update on the issue with "Fortune Reels". Bernie the casino manager for "Fortune Reels" emailed me earlier saying that the wording of the email I had received regarding the promotion may have been misleading. He also said that he had credited the $25 to my account and apologized for the inconvenience.
