Expekt missed too set a barrier.

Hi.
This is my problem.
Iv during a strech of time played poker on a poker client that belongs too a Expekt.
Very early i mailed Expekts customer service and said i wanted a barrier set att 1600 Swedish crowns and 15 minutes later i got an e-mail saying that this was done. I did this becouse i know i can have a betting problem with i wrote in the mail.

But after a while i devoloped a betting problem and put more and more money on my account untill i reach the 1600 mark. Then i thought -"Finally.. now i cant put anymore money on my account..." But after a few days when i got desperat for som gaming i in sheer desperation try too put more money on my account and it worked too my suprise! So these 2 last months i have been able too deposit 5800 in Januari and 3500 in Februari alot more than the 1600 per month i wanted.
Now it has gone too far so i decided too uninstall the poker client yesterday and remove my account at Expekt. With was expremly tough, something that everyone with a beting problem will tell you...

Yesterday i asked in my mail too expekt why there wasnt a barrier he said there had been a mistake and that he had from yesterday and forward had put in a barrier att 1600..
He also apologized for their mistake.

However.. Even if i know i have my self too blame too a point i am mad at Expekt that said they had done something and didnt do it.
I wrote in the mail i had a gambling problem and they still didnt put the barrier up.

I asked about some kind of compensation but he said that was imposible.
I have thought about going too the papers.. Writing about online poker is very hot now and maybe they are interested..

I mean this with all sincerity and not one ounce of sarcasm ... STOP GAMBLING!

I applaud your efforts so far (i.e. deleting the program and having them cancel your account), but you know you have a problem. Continuing to gamble even after you tell everyone (Expekt and everyone here) that you have a problem doesn't elicit a lot of sympathy from some folks.

Seriously, look into some help before you lose even more money and are out on the street.

I understand yourself but I'm afraid this is not the right place to post this, as here you'll only find pro-gamblers. However, beginning to recognize you've got a problem with beting, that is something which should guide you to the voice of reason. Gambling addiction and compulsive behaviour towards online gaming is the concern of plenty of people. I'm not sure anyway that it is the preoccupation of casino's operators. You're considered to be responsible when you play for real money on the net. I know some behaviours of casino's operators are too shameful to mention.

But we can't always blame them : it's up to you to put the limits. And having wanted such-and-such place to put the limits for you, even if they didn't respect their agreement, do not remove the addiction !

What you've got to do as previously said by Macgyver is to my mind to stop gambling for a while. If you have no use of your computer for work, do not swich it on for a couple of months and try to have a self-examination towards your behaviour, that i do not shame at all of course and that i understand really Kiwi. Never forget that the money taken by a casino is often hard earned...so, the next time you feel like playing, take that money from your banking account and go buy something for your wife, your kids, for you...

Actually, this is the right place. I think many members here share the mindset of gambling in moderation and with responsibility.

However, beginning to recognize you've got a problem with beting, that is something which should guide you to the voice of reason.

Exactly, you gotta look out for number one. If you can't afford to lose -then get out of Dodge. There are plenty of other activities that are worthwhile and productive; focus on these.

This player does, by their own admission, have a very serious gambling problem, and he/she should seek help for it, now!

But, the account was suppose to have been limited, by players request and a confirmation email from Expekt saying it was done.

Why did they lift it knowing this player had a problem? That don't sound like a "Responsible Attitude" to me.

It was limited, it should have stayed!! Expekt is wrong in that respect.

I have switched e-mail so i dont have the original mail left
But yesterday when i mailed them and asked why the limit hadnt been set as asked i got a reply saying that there had been a misstake (They admited that they had made a mistake) and that mail i still have left.
They also appologized in the mail and hoped this hadnt hurt me too much.
They also said in the mail that as from the first this month (yesterday) they had set a limit of 1600 per month.
Am i wrong if i say that this sounds weird??

It is quite obvious that a gambling problem exists. One way(I dont know whether others agree) is to participate actively at this forum. There is always plenty on gambling,poker,rogue casinos etc. to keep you interested. Furthermore,you will seem to be amidst some company and this could lessen your appetite for compulsive gambling especially when you are alone and online. For me,I have gambled less since joining this forum as I do spend some of my idle time reading posts and occasionally replying to some threads.

Yes they should. And you can do yourself a big favour too - do not play poker!
I got 'heavily into it' about 4-years ago, and lost literally $1,000's before realising how stupid it was and stopping about 2-years ago.
I know it's very easy to say, but very hard to do because online poker is extremely addictive. But please try. Only a tiny, tiny minority of poker players actually win online - chances are, you & I aren't going to be one of them.
I know I shouldn't really say this, if your problem is as bad as it sounds, but if you really can't stop gambling (and I really think that you should), you should only play casino's, and become a 'bonus hunter'.
I 'gamble' literally every single day of the year (except when I'm on holiday!), so I know I am addicted to it. But what I'm addicted to is winning back the money I stupidly threw away in the early days.
But whatever you do, PLEASE NEVER gamble with borrowed money, or money you can not afford to lose.
