Sick of being told to clear cache delete cookies is this the answer to games not working and lagging? Are CS told to say this in training as that is all I get told. And it’s quite frankly starting to really really piss me off. Clearly there are issues with BTG and this is my response from paddy power also get this response from the other places I play at. Really they just can’t be arsed to fix anything. Not depositing this week keeping my hard earned money

Sadly this Answer is the first in the manual of many Customer Services, its somethink you have to do it first. but Of course sometimes (or usually :p) this answer doesn't solve the Issue so next step will be the Difference beween a Poor CS and a Profesional one.

Been playing online since approx 2003.

Hold the World Record in that I've been told, over the years to clean my cache n gobble some cookies some 4,921 times.

Have to be grateful in that out of all those occasions it did work the once

As has been said lol, its part of their automated response (always doubted whether they're actually humans :p) bit like the police and their 'calm down' response :p :p

Hey everyone.

I think if we all just clear our cache and cookies, this thread will just go away ;)

Jokes aside, the main issue related to this falls on separate points which sometimes is not the easiest thing for a Support Agent to be able to identify.

1) Website / System issue - When the issue is something related to the website not loading up correctly / balance not updating or a game sometimes loading up just a tad slow. Yes, clearing cache and cookies is sometimes helpful as it gets rid of the temporary data that might be conflicting with the current state. Hence why sometimes changing browser makes everything work like magic, completely new cache and cookies.

2) Game Issue - When the issue is such as bonus spins (won in game) or the game crashes upon reaching a bonus round, this issue is normally from the provider side and won't really change anything at all by clearing cache and cookies. Normally this is a game round that needs to be unlocked from the provider's side or "finished" from their end to bring the game state to a close.

3) Device not being strong enough - We all have a laptop that's been with us for a couple of years, or has some random hardware that we've never heard of, thinking it's a super beast of a laptop or phone when in reality, it's a device handed down to us from cave men or perhaps a cheap knock off brand that touts itself as flag ships. Unfortunately issues like this mean sometimes that if too many apps or programs are open, it'll slow down the entire thing.

In cases like this, CS don't really have access to your device's details or specs, so they have no way to figure this out. So the common solution is "oh, clear cache and cookies" hoping that it'll make the problem go away.

If you'd like @Luckyscouser45, speak to me in PM, drop me your device details and I'll escalate it through our casino team to BTG to investigate and we'll let you know of what response we get!

Let me know if that works for you!

Kind Regards,
LV BET

P.S Clearing your cache and cookies won't make me go away.

You’ll be crowned Rep of the year if you get a response from them ;-)

Don’t know about others but seems to be mainly affecting NYX version for me (Quickfire is generally stable for me); think you guys run the QF, so they’ll probably tell you it’s fine :p

Did someones say Rep of the year?

I'd like your phone, laptop, PC, dog, cat sent by FedEx tonight to my office. I'll send you the postage stamps in a minute. I'm just ringing Boris now to see that they get approved.

I have seen a lot of issues recently with an error message - close required by management console, and mysteriously my luck always changes after that close. I was playing at Dream Vegas yesterday, won about 450 on major millions, then got the close required message. Went back to the game won 72, again got close required error message, went back again, won 30 and then it went dead on the winning side. But I have encountered this over and over again while playing that game but others as well during the bonus rounds...Anyone else see the close required error messages while winning? at all?

I'm so versed in this default CS line you may as well paint me blue and stick boggly eyes on me

Thought that all here already learned to advise that 4 different browsers and 3 devices tried but still getting same error ;) 99.87% of issues shouldn't be solved by that but it's pretty much all CS people can even try first to and hope it's part of that 0.13%, if cache/cookies cause more problems, then would question after how many drinks site logic was built. In last quite many years storing something in these what could cause common errors is bit weird design from developers.

But CS really don't have many other things to do even changing color of your shirt might have around same effect, then all peeps would be complaining about that nosense support received, clearing your browser can at least give you picture that at least one possible cause of issue is eliminated from further trouble shooting. Annoying, will cause you extra contact to support and possibly explain your problem again.

So to save time, do it beforehand, take screen shot your error message, be able to provide all details about your device, operating system, browser used (best clear C&C advise personally has been to do that when casinos poker clients login kept failing after installing it, but people working in CS are not really trained to read your session logs where error occur and be very techie so i blame myself everytime i haven't made this cleaning before contacting CS and tried another device when ever possible).

Deleting cookies is a major pain because it resets so damn much stuff. Slot preferences, speed preferences, logs you out of every damn thing you have set to instant log in. (don't remember password? type crap) The cache is a different story, no biggie, but leave my cookies alone!

I suggest using a password storage utility program that saves all your login information as well as anything you want to fill in forms, even complicated ones in seconds. Personally, I use Roboform Everywhere which encrypts everything online and can be used on all your devices. It works in all browsers and also on your mobile.

Roboform has saved me countless time and saved me many times as I've never lost a login since I've been using it for about 15 years. You can also save notes and all your bookmarks. This is one of the utility programs I personally cannot live without. The paid version is highly recommended as it's only about $20 a year. I believe the free version allows only 20 passwords but that might have changed and for some that is perfect.

Also, I want Google to have as little information as possible.

When clearing my cache and cookies a lot, it seems to make the slots load faster and change my luck. I know the latter is ridiculous but hey, one can hope so anyway.

From a technical standpoint, clearing your cache and cookies makes your computer or device run better. Best to use a tool like CCleaner which is free.

Thanks for that.

But hope your response from BTG is better than we have on here.

The Rep has been asked countless times in the last few weeks and been tagged several times to threads which he has read asking what is going on as their slots are virtually unplayable. And his response........ Just to ignore every single question and instead promote a new slot and announce a competition to win a car:rolleyes:

Sometimes if that doesn't work, private browsing or using other browsers work best for me. I tend to use Firefox mostly but will use Chrome/Brave or others and that may improve performance for various engines.

Let's see what I'm able to answer without giving any incorrect or even more confusing details... Put on your tin foil hats fellas, we're going in for a wild ride.

More questions on - what exactly is the function of the management console? Can casino's limit win levels? Am curious what can be configured...

Management Console, is another fancy word for Game Provider Back Office. From the casino side, there are only two things that can sometimes be done, depending on how advanced the game provider's back office is. The rest involves contacting the game provider itself to configure anything else such as the "Maximum Win Limit", STOP! Before you say "Aha! So you do mess with the winnings!". No. It's that clause that some casinos have that states that for example, "from a single bet, only 250,000 euro will be transferred". You can still win 3 mill from a game, however the game provider will only consider X amount for the game provider to tell the operator to transfer to the player account.

1) End game states for paused / bugged game rounds.
2) See the actual game round that was played (to check pay lines, etc)

In some cases, even set up tournaments or credit free spins directly from the provider side.

Deleting cookies is a major pain because it resets so damn much stuff. Slot preferences, speed preferences, logs you out of every damn thing you have set to instant log in. (don't remember password? type crap) The cache is a different story, no biggie, but leave my cookies alone!

One problem, the cookies are the least important part.. It's the cache that stores all the temporary data that includes unfortunately.. temporary game data at times..

Anything man made is bound to fail, it's not always a weird design thing :(

On the other hand, seeing your advice to the others, when would you like your starting date with us to be? Taking screenshots is the one thing that will make any CS agent love you.

Thanks for that.

i must be the casinomeister champ at clearing cache and cookies I use an iPhone 5 before every session the first thing I do is clear them then every 30 mins there after.
Red tiger won't load at all BTG 15 mins play before phone crashes the only games I can play with out any issues is Netent.
But it's all good sitting at home waiting on DPD delivering a new I phone x r.

I've kinda managed to inform Scouser what the issue might be with BTG :)

Where do I queue for the autograph?

Red Tiger isn't one of ours unfortunately so can't pester them.

Hey Folks,

@LV BET Pretty much said it all :)
One super quick way of dealing with the whole cache and cookies issue is to hit CTRL+F5 if you use Windows OS.
It will force a refresh of your cache for the site you're on. 9 times out of 10, it will resolve the same issue a Cache and Cookies clear does but saves all of your browsing data, and passwords that that would normally clear.

Plus, it takes literally 1 second to do it.

That's a shortcut that not even I knew :)

Thanks for jumping in @Conor@Trada!
