While I understand your frustration it would have been better to add this into your existing thread

Maybe @dunover @Casinomeister or @maxd can help with moving it.
..again appreciated

WTF?

You stated you had money in your account and wanted them to change the currency on your account? Am I missing something here?

Hardly a nose-dive from CS as you put it. Do you think you'd get your way easier by asking the CS rep if they "are nuts"?

Yup.. telling me they can't change currency on an online financial services account and advising I create a new account and email them after first advising they need to escalate to "relevant team" to answer a simple question is *way* less inflammatory.. with their track record of responding to email or resolving issues in the first place that sounds like a perfect remedy. Thanks.

You'll probably learn that most casinos will not allow you to change the currency on the account. Most will ask you to open a new account.

Should your question not have been 'Is it possible to change currency on my account and if not how do I go about it?' Which seems what was answered anyway. Just withdraw your current balance and then once it's safely in your account ask Leo to help you set up another account with your default currency. The only casino I know where you can change currency and that is Pokerstars, but only between your currency and dollars which is their native currency. I don't see that there is a big issue here based on what you have written.

Why do you think they can change the currency? Have you moved to another country so you need a different currency?
If I was on live chat and someone said 'are you nuts' to me I would close it too.

Apart from wait times getting longer I've not had any problems with LV chat, certainly not in a long time anyway.

Their response seems fair to me. They answered your question reasonably, and got an unreasonable response.

They’re not providing a financial service. They’re a casino.

2.2.8 You shall not treat LeoVegas as a financial institution. Credit balances in Your Member Account will not bear interest”

So they’re entirely fair. Withdraw your balance in the original currency and open a new account if you want. Then deposit in the new currency.

Are you Nuts?

I would have ended that chat too! Resorting to insults never gets you anywhere really unless you really want to be ignored.
#wow the chat wasn't ended because of the question.. there was too little time between the question and response.. also asking a question and stating an insult are two seperate things. If it was my intent to insult this nonsense attempt as customer service or this organization in general I could have been way more creative. Lot of trolling going on tho

and the answers to the other questions you have been asked are?

It is common knowledge that casinos usually don`t change currency, so what did they do wrong?

" casinos usually don`t change currency" <~~ #fuzzylogic knowledge is static.. "usually" is subjective reference, and thus *subject* to variables as well as whim.. did you read the chat transcript?
I read the transcript and they did nothing wrong here. Believe me,if they did something wrong or pathetic I'd be on your side but all you have to do is withdraw your current balance then create a new one in the relevant currency and then contact LeoVegas again. Seems strange that you regard this as poor customer service.

Maybe read it without a bias.. the agent asked me to hold and when they finally came back advised they were going to "forward to relevant team" without even first answering what apparently is a very simple question with a simple answer.. what was she forwarding?.. said simple question?.. I then asked *am sorry what"? and repeated my question, to which she indicated she "knows (that that's my question)" ..I then had to ask again "so what's the answer to my question"??.. as she was repeating that she was "forwarding".. and I am assuming was then advised herself that supposedly currency can't be changed.
1) here's how easy it would be to offer this impossible feature.. create a basic form-field with list of currencies (basic HTML).. then write one line of code in whatever backend language this site is programed in: $newbal = $oldbal * $curr
2) there are obviously details related to this issue that you and all these arm-chair opinions excusing this **poor** attempt at customer *service* aren't aware of
3) basic logic would suggest if you are going to advise someone "create a new acct" to solve a problem on an account with hundreds of dollars in it, you first assure that customer that there will be no issue with said balance as well as how said balance would be maintained thru this seeming extraordinary solution

This is why there is generally this very, very poor level on online customer concern on the net. Because of all the acceptance of it in the first place.. whether shill or otherwise.

Cheers

How is it that easy?
they'd have to take currency exchange rates into account.
If you have USD1000 in your account, and wanted to change to CAD. That wouldn't automatically become CAD1000
They'd have to convert it, at the current rate of exchange. which at this moment in time would be CAD1315.
And if the currency was so easy to change, what would stop players constantly switching currency, as the exchange rates fluctuate?

#wow problem#1 with the net.. so many geniuses . #facepalm
$newbal = $oldbal * $curr <~~ $curr is a variable.. representing the conversion rate genius.

Reading and understanding are basic, but necessary tenets to useful participation.. no?.. it's seems to me many are so rabid to flap their gums here they leave out the reading part.. or the understanding??.. or are we dealing with base trolley??.. hard to tell, or not

Not that any of this has anything to do with the point of the thread

As far as "fluctuating exchange rates".. simple answer ~~> easily emplaced restrictions.. like say facebook, Google+, twitter.. all the big boys on the net do.. but Lemme guess, we should lower our expectations when we are risking our hard earned money as opposed to sharing drivvle on the net, right?

The point of the thread??
A normal customer service operative would not know the answer to your question, so would have to refer it to someone else.
I'm no big fan of LeoVegas, but I can't see that they've done anything wrong.

And just for the record, you will not find ANY casino who will have variable account currency like you describe.

6) what did I do wrong?.. don't tase me bro!!
7) no, that's my cheesy
8) you mean you actually want me to answer, like today?
