Captain Cooks group in trouble?

Looks like they're still churning out the same innuendo and unsubstantiated nonsense. Found this at WOL:

As you are possibly aware, in early March, three of our brands were found to have suffered a significant amount of bonus abuse. As a result of this, casino management initiated a complete review of all accounts, a process that is both time consuming and labor intensive.

Our Accounts Department has been working around the clock to identify the suspect accounts, and this has resulted in a temporary strain on our staff resources. We anticipated that the audit and reconciliation would take some time, we were not prepared for just how long or how prevalent this abuse was at our casinos.

Poor darlings. Fancy having to run a casino where players can set up "suspect" accounts on which they wager "suspisciously", causing them such hard work.

There's no justice in this world for an honest casino.

These poor guys are working round the clock on their "audit and reconciliation" so that you and I can gamble in a safer and more secure environment. I say that we should set up a victim's charity fund so we can be a part of this noble cause. Imagine yourself in a land-based casino, and you're sitting at a slot machine.... and right next to you is a woman who has cheated on her taxes and maybe even ate a few grapes in the produce section of the grocery store as she was shopping. She looks very innocent and all, and quite harmless, since she's 86 years old.... but you didn't know how close you were to death's door. In the same way, you could be online and playing at the very same casino as a BONUS ABUSER! (my heart faints at just the thought of it!) My thanks to CCC for for doing a little house-cleaning. No matter how long it takes.. and no matter how long you hold on to other people's money, we know that you are only doing it for the good of everyone. Captain Cook's reigns supreme!! I'm gonna send them five hundred right now to help out with the cause.

It does look that way. I look at WOL and didn't see it. Could you give us a link?

Thanks,
Stanford.

I could, but it wouldn't help - he's gone and edited it out in the meantime, LOL. Brilliant.

Glad I took a copy for the record.

If it isn't against the rules and you don't mind, post it.

Sorry I missed it but thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Stanford.

By "copy" I'm afraid I meant just the bit I cut & pasted above. It's the full quote from the post in question, however; I left out only the poster's comments.

I was going to open a new thread about Casinorewards until I discovered this thread. I am not through with reading yet but I already start seriously worring.
I play at Captain Cooks for a long time already and never had a problem with cash out. I requested 200 Euro cash out on 27th Sept. Cashcheck showed the trans. pending since 29th Sert. On Oct. 1st I e-mailed Casinorewards and asked why it takes so long this time to transfer my win to Neteller.(usually it takes only 48 hours). The responce estonished me. They couldn't use a convenient excuse as 'Bonus abuse' or 'W/R are not met'.. since I never take any Bonuses. So it was something new. They claim that on Sept. 29th I requested 2 payouts - 50 and 150 Euro and that they transfered the whole amount of 200 Euro to my Net.acc. on Sept. 30st. - I should contact Neteller and ask THEM where my money ist:confused: First of all I never cash out such a small amount as 50 Euro it's just doesn't pay out. Second, I contacted Neteller via live chat. They said there was no entries for me on Sept. 30st and I should ask Casinorewards for NT-code so they could track the alleged transaction. I did so. Casinorewards has replied that they TRANSFER the money on Sept. 30st and it would take 1-2 business days for NETELLER to process the transaction - only funny that in case with other Casinos payout request, Neteller transfers the money immediately after it receives the trans. from casino and doesn't wait 1-2 days. A little confusing, ah? I am confused myself. Do I have chance to get my money or should I kiss it good bye?

P.S. I play only Roulette, not BJ.

Theres been a few grumblings from some of us who have cashed in from the poker side of the group. Seems to be taking longer than usual. That includes me. I was expecting a payment to hit Neteller by today the latest, but it didn't.

Just hope it doesn't take 6 weeks as it did before with my last Capt Cooks Poker cash out.

After many e-mails with ridiculous excuses, I finally got my money.
Only to check, I have asked in live chat why I can't redeem my points. I play for a long time at Captain Cooks, never take any Bonuses, never play BJ(autoplay):p , only Roulette(without any system) and I am anyway low roller, my cashcheck shows only a small plus over a year of play.
They answered that I didn't show me as a player who is willing to take risks:confused:  and if I change my behavior, they would reconsider:eek2: Obviuosly I didn't lose enough:(
After this conversation it was clear to me , that I would never have a chance for fair play in this casino.:(

I have deinstalled Captain Cooks and I would never play at Casino Rewards group.

But of course! They are already CONVERTED to 30 Euros, but when I try to transfer it to my account, BS about some fraudulent players und blah, blah, blah pops up.:eek2: And althou I played at Captain Cooks at least once a week, they didn' add any points after 'Big Clean Up' These 30 Euros are still from good old days. It estonished me:eek: , that I - the dream player(without falce modesty);) for every casino - am on black list:confused:
Why I consider myself a dream player? I don't take any bonuses, I play disadvantage play(Roulette), I lose a lot, I cash out not too oft and only small amounts(100-200 Euro) and I play regulary at the same casino.
I think, the true reason is that I managed a small plus - but that's why Captain Cooks used to be my favorite, they let me win from time to time...
But now I don't trust them any more:(

The casino's attitude is neigh on unbelievable!

A regular player who does not take bonuses, deposits regularly & plays a high H.A. game!!

If they don't want players like this - who do they want for Christs sake??? :what:

Well, my regular meager 50-100 Euro deposits doesn't make me a desirable player. A dream player for CR, I beleive, is someone. who

1. Deposits at least $1000 every day:thumbsup:

2. NEVER wins and is happy about it - he plays only for entertainment:D

3. Never comes to stupid ideas about redeeming any loyal points:what:

Combination of all three points makes him Persona Grata:notworthy

Others should stay outside...

Complain to Kawanake

I got this shafting from this bunch some time ago. I complained to Kawanake who told the group to respond within 2 weeks. I provided considerable evidence to back up my complaint. I checked back later and my points account was suddenly unlocked. Those 30Euro will still have to be wagered before withdrawal, and I believe would have to go up to at least 50 to be allowed for withdrawal. Might not be worth it!
I'm 800 up with this lot, and they ain't winning it back from me after their display of poor treatment and verging on rude CS.

As you didn't even claim any bonuses, your case looks even worse. They will have to justify the locking of your account (a copms account is still an account, and 30Euro is still confiscated funds already allocated). If you play with your own money and not theirs, their claim that you do not take risks is a joke!
Since these sites are advertised as "entertainment" they cannot justify saying that a player has abused the game by not taking risk simply because you got lucky. The games are supposed to be random are they not? Some will end up ahead, others will end up down. A player cannot be "too clever" if playing random games with their own money (no bonuses to beat by 'clever' play).
IF the games are random, banning lucky players has no benefit - IF the games are NOT random, banning "lucky" (clever) players has a clear benefit.

Casino Rewards were banned from my hard drive a long time ago, and even though their latest promotions look better than BelleRock and Casino Action - your post gives me the comfort in knowing I made the right decision.
I can just imagine my comps account getting locked again should I have the cheek to play VP and get a RF on my first deposit.
It does seem that it is the comps account that this outfit will lock at the drop of a hat. Cashing out from the real account should be OK. ALL prizes, promos etc are paid as comps though, so a locked comps account is a bar on entering all events - but they don't tell you, you find out only when clicking on "redeem", you can still log in and view the points.

I believe consideration for "not recommended" status is in order. Grounds could be at the least for encouraging irresponsible gambling by locking out players who deposit and play for entertainment within their budget - it is not up to the casino to decide that you have not shown risk. How do they know that you don't spend 95% of your leisure budget with them each week - thats pretty HIGH risk. I don't think they should get off the hook by claiming it's "only comps" that are confiscated. They need to show that you played in an unfair manner, not just got lucky.
Do they have another sneaky term about Roulette in T&C - this would be an issue had you claimed a bonus and played only Roulette. Have they paid a bonus to your comps account? (This is how they used to give the bonuses). They may see a cashout after playing Roulette as not complying with WR for the bonus. It would still be a case of a bonus being quietly slipped to you without your knowledge, giving them an excuse to cry "advantage" and lock the comps - this is just as I knew them. Giving with one hand, and slapping you with the other!
