I will. My surgeon is such an amazing person. I see him and we will get the tests done. Good note. My liver is fine!

Waiting has to be one of the worst. Your mind plays so many scenarios on you. Try and find something to do to keep your mind off it. Maybe a good time for some slots and music. Then maybe a movie or binge watch a tv series to keep your brain busy.

Thanks! Im dulling my mind on Gemix right now, but I have one of my authors book almost ready to go to print, just waiting for the illustrations to get done. I had a long serious talk with God out on the sunporch. Told him I was not ready to go yet. lol. My kids may be adults now, but it would kill them. If it has come back....I will fight with everything in me I may be small, but I'm mighty!

Off to see my surgeon to go over the results in more detail

* I'm back. When I had the lung xray last week, they took 2 pictures. The results were that an 8 mm lump showed up in one picture, but not the other. I have to go for an contrast CT scan. If it comes out fine, then I have to go for another one in a couple of months. He isn't really worried, but has to worry because of my history. Good thing Im on good medication for my mental well being.

Were the two pictures from different angles or the same? No idea about medicine but is this common for something to show up and then not show up? Did they say it was a shadow maybe, ive heard doctors say that before

Yes they were from 2 different angles. I'm not sure how common that is either. The radiologist called it " lobal" in his report so I dont think it's a shadow. I'm really trying to stay positive, because if it is a tumor then its still breast cancer. And that means stage 4 , no cure. My fear is real, but again......stay positive.

Thank you! I get angry too. All cancers suck, but what makes me angry is how Breast Cancer is portrayed in the media. Its curable...if you were to get a cancer, it would be breast. I have heard it so many times, and have been guilty of saying it myself, but it is the most complicated cancer out there, and different forms. Mine was double negative, so that means I have a 50-50 chance of it coming back, even after treatments, it goes down very little. Point blank..it's a very deadly cancer. No one would or could possibly know this until they get it, or knows someone who has had it.

Our healthcare system needs a complete overhaul!!!!!!!!!!! My CT is dated July 13th! And that is for cancer, anything else is later. If my surgeon is not happy with the date he can contact the radiologist. Im on the cancellation list. And that date the 13th has always brought me bad news. January 13th, I found out I had cancer, March 13th, I found out the pathology. Fuck!

It's our province that is suffering healthcare wise. We are in the middle of an election for a new premier, and healthcare reform is the number one agenda. Sadly the 3 that are running suck! The waiting game sucks, but I have to stay " grounded" mentally, and keep busy. Good thing summer is coming! I lost 2 summers, I'll be damned if I lose this one over anxiety

Omg. NOOOOO. I found out on Friday the 13th in January 2017 that I had cancer! HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!

I called them, and she said she was already looking for a cancellation and to give her a few days. Pheeww. I don't know if the date change will help things but it will put my mind at ease. Thank you for pointing out that it was Friday the 13th! Big hug!

Just curious if you are into anything that relaxes you. Like meditation, or music or anything like that?

You should grab a pair of headphones and try some ASMR on youtube. I just recently came across it a few weeks ago and I find it insanely relaxing. I listen to it sometimes at work or in bed relaxing. Just search ASMR and mess around with some vids. But you need headphones or it wont be right.

I work in a hospital. Canada is one of the countries that spends the most per capita in the world. But some of our systems/methods are outdated. For example. We still use fax machines and printers to give people their medical records. Countries such as the USA have an app you can download and log into and get it. Or go directly to certain websites. You would be surprised how much this affects wait times. Slow paper work causes back up. Back up causes us delays in getting the client or specialist the paper work they need. Same issue with testing.

I do know BC and I think alberta test piloted a program called Pathways. Its basically a website directory for specialists and their wait times and what specific area they specialize in. They saw quite a bit of success and are going ahead with it.

There have been talks about this happening in Ontario too. Actually in our hospital but wont be integrated for a couple of years yet. But yeah this is one of the largest reasons for such delays. Generally Canadians are happy with the quality they receive when they do get it. But the delays no. And some of those delays can prove costly to ones health obviously
