Brexit - whats the difference.....

I'd consider 72 to be a large number to object to, even relative to 34,000, if those laws are rather abrasive or detrimental in their nature!

I see the nitpicking is still in full force with the Remainer contingent
Yes, exactly. I may have 100 million strings in my DNA, but if 72 of them are faulty, well, I could be a Bonanza player or hermaphrodite. Or both. Statistical bullshit again.

The entire list is here, help yourself!

It contains shocking examples of EU oppression such as this.

Who am I to argue with Jim Grace! But what I will say is that I'd be more concerned about blindly and subserviently following 34000 laws without so much as questioning their relevance to one's specific country, and how that might or might not 'fit'.

Unless you're to tell me you know all 34000 laws inside-out and have scrutinized them personally!

How many laws passed by the UK parliament do we all blindly and subserviently follow without scrutinising them, or indeed even be aware of what they are?

Or is it just UK Laws = Good and EU Laws = Bad, irrespective of what they actually are?

Remember we do actually have MEPs at the EU Parliament to promote UK interests when it comes to these things. Well, not for much longer.....

(Spoiler alert - We're going to end up following most EU laws and regulations after we leave anyway, we just won't have input into their formulation any longer.)

I hope that after we've left the EU we can take back control by repealing the law that gives air passengers compensation for delayed flights, that'll teach those meddling Europeans!

Well I know the Ten Commandments if that helps, though I'm a bit fuzzy between 8-10

Lindsay Hoyle announced as new speaker, thank goodness he beat chris bryant who I'm sure would've taken a strong remain position. We only need a neutral referee not another political activist like bercow.

"A Labour MP said he discussed the possibility of another Brexit referendum with a senior member of Theresa May's cabinet.

Chris Bryant, MP for Rhondda, said he spoke to Cabinet Office Minister David Lidington about the next steps.

Mr Bryant, who wants the UK to remain in the EU, told BBC Sunday Politics he wanted the government to allow a vote."

I particularly like his tweet about law nr. 13: "firms from outside the EU may carry passengers between destinations in the EU (cabbotage) without needing a registered office in the EU. UK (1997): Not happy. UK (2021): Splendid idea. " :D

By extension, UK casino players are already in a position where they have to subserviently follow the rules set by the UKGC, a typical British institution I might add, even if some of these rules are intrusive and detrimental to the gambling industry as a whole...

This seems eminently sensible to me.

Secure the best deal possible, and go back to the people one last time and say 'Here's the deal, do you want it or not?'

The original referendum didn't define what Leave actually looked like, no one had a clue. So let's define what Leave actually means, and see if it's what people want.

Remember, we currently have Boris Johnson saying his deal 'gets Brexit done' and Farage saying 'that deal isn't Brexit at all'.....

Yes. And should the vote be way too close again, and say Leave won again, and this deal prevails we can just have a 'Decider Referendum - The Deal Breaker'.

Because in the intervening months all this 'new, revelatory info coming to light' that people weren't aware of in Referendum 2

Exactly.

Why can't we just get on with implementing the result of the first 'once in a generation' vote?

What if remain won by 52%? Do we then have another referendum in case people changed their minds after the next Eurozone crisis?

Remember everyone, Brexit hasn't even started yet......

Already Johnson is being tested on post-Brexit transitional arrangements. He says they won’t have to be

They will. A free-trade agreement with Brussels cannot be negotiated by the end of next year. The going rate is more like five years. Under Johnson’s plan, a miserably familiar landscape sweeps into view: Brexiteers pretending something impossible is easy, ruling out compromise and denouncing as traitors any who counsel delay. Meet the new rows over Europe,

The politics of aborting Brexit are as gruesome as the economics of going through with it. There is no good outcome now, only different routes to realising that it was a stupid idea in the first place.

With a sustained display of incompetence, cowardice, delusion and ideological mania, British politics has created a situation so monstrous and writhing with venom that the public cannot bear to look at it.

International credit rating agency Moody's downgrades UK's credit rating to Aa2, explicitly cites Brexit as being the cause of an 'erosion in institutional strength'.

Yet people find this turd electable? Ha!
Thankfully judging by many polls he’s as much chance seeing no10 as Chopley has being CM pro leave spokesman.

Jeremy Corbyn, Jo Swinson & BoJo to attend today's Remembrance
Indeed he attended, just saw him lay a wreath.
In all honesty with his personal views he shouldn’t be there. Nor should swinson, those people fought and died for democracy and it’s a bloody insult they attended at all
