Betfair “updating RTP”

Wondering what the heck RTP is? Find out here at Casinomeister.
Seems more and more casinos are using these "updated" RTPs.

Logged in to Energy the other day and was greeted by a similar message.

More worrying are how many of the casinos won't inform the players. It's shitty but at least some of them shares the information, as far as I'm aware it's not required by them?

At least they decided to be upfront about it.

Would be interesting to know where this leaves providers like BTG with fixed RTPs - will they consider creating new games with lower RTPs that fit the changing casino business model or succumb to providing games with sliding RTPs to ensure the casinos keep taking their games?

before i gamstopped i was playing a lot of great rhino megaways and chilli heat and magic cauldron and book of dead on betfair and PP they where playing really good then boom i couldn’t load any pragmatic play slots for 2 days it would just be a blank screen then they came back and played awful then book of dead went down over night one night no this isn’t a tinfoil hat theory but i suspect they’ve lowered them already and yet more validation of why quitting was the best choice i made these greedy company’s are taking the piss now. was hard to win but even harder now when your deposits are eaten in a minute on £10 low deposits with zero play time. a company that size and they still wanna skimp and con people as much as possible 🤢🤢

I don't think a company like Betfair is taking this decision lightly - the games were profitable enough before - it's most likely there isn't the slush of money about due to the reduction in the number of players as the tougher income / KYC regulations take force. They can either make less money or do something to try and maintain their income levels.

Bet365 just got a load of Pragmatics at top RTP too. They will get my money anyway as I'm self excluded from all but sports and exchange at Betfair. Paddy Power will no doubt shrink their RTP too. Roulette is where I will be playing now, alongside BTG.

Yes you wouldn’t think it by looking at their site, but bet365 is now a very good place to play. All still on top RTP and you won’t have a problem getting paid out. With the recent adding of pragmatic also.

It’s a shame that whoever did the layout is stuck 10 yrs behind the current trend in games. Lots of decent games to play there but you’ll have to search to find them. Why not just do a provider layout ffs??

Bit like the 32Red TV add campaigns. Whatever clown is behind those selection of games being at the forefront needs sacking immediately. Jeez.

Bet365 have become an even better proposition now they are adding Prags. Them and MrQ ftw. Pity that MrQ have recently added a few games from a provider I’ve not seen before, and all their games are in the 92-94% RTP range.

I wonder what the running costs are for the server side of the operation; say betfair have a slot that no one touches, very unpopular, can they and the slot provider afford to just have it sitting there. Perhaps there'll be a pruning of the number of slots offered in the future?

And Unibet have recently emailed me:

If you were a fan of Thunderstruck II, one of Microgaming’s most popular slots, we have some fantastic news for you. Microgaming have released a brand new sequel! Thunderstruck II: Mega Moolah is here.

With 243 ways to win and multpliers up to 8,000 x your stake, there’s never been a better time to get reacquainted with Thor!

With shite rtp there will never be a better time to run a mile from this.

I wonder if the casinos are going to now rely more on jackpot slots, with rolling figures always over a £million as bait.

That's all it ever is now, the pursuit and promoting the big wins....players have been conditioned into acceptance of the high-variance math in just about every game that casinos are more than happy to shave RTP off everywhere, because the micro-wins just won't do, and are so 2015.

What difference does it make to your average punter's session whether the RTP's 95 or 93 percent, when all they've been taught is to hone in on the Big Win animations. Even TV ads show high- stakes betting is normalized, ooh, congratulations, you've won £4000 on Book of Dead. No 13p wins here! The future's big. Write that down

And they can stop with the Jackpotization of popular games. That grates more than Megaways

Aren't you from the UK? That is a quite shocking way of describing the numerous branches of the science of mathematics!:)

I actually loathe writing that, as I'm always the first to slate Math instead of Maths. It was also the first time, and look what happens!

Oh the shame!

Why dont you all pitch in quite an amount of cash and raise on of your own, in the UK and with a 96% RTP.

I dont get it why most of these casino's are shafting the RTP. You got a winning formula anyway in hands, keep the costs low, and you have a winner in hand.

This is a strange kind of industry. Instead of going out of business, they simply reduce their RTPs. Where will it end? Will it ever end?
