Betfair slots not loading?

So yesterday morning everything was ok and later in the day all slots started showing an error.

I have tried 3 different devices, 2 different browsers, cleared cache/data/cookies, reset router after one rep kindly insisted it must be the ISP.

They said the issue must be at my end yet nothing has changed and everything is updated.

I don't use mobile data, never do.

I use Chrome since their app is adamant that I am not in the UK which I absolutely am.

I have tried pokerstars which works without issue so I don't think the issue is at my end.

Today a rep told me they would check with their manager, they came back to say that a provider is updating some of their games.

I don't think this is it since it's all games from all providers apart from the Betfair casino branded games which all look outdated and clunky.

Yesterday I saw an error message after many tried to open a game and googled it as it was different and Google returned results mentioning some kind of server issue when this error is displayed and something to do with their API.

Upon first inspection they told me to try some links sent, none work but then told they worked at their end and then told a few minutes later they are not working now.

If a provider is updating slots then only some would be out of action for the time being and not all of them?

Also told that they wouldn't load since I had not made a deposit, which I had yesterday and used it on the only thing I would which was blackjack (the only one which would load, again, on Betfair casino provider) so today I made a small deposit just to prove this is not the issue.

They tell me to check again later but this was the same answer yesterday.

Wondering if anybody else has experienced this?

Just tried a few different games on Betfair and all opened fine (in chrome). Not sure if there was or still a problem for you now, but they loaded fine for me (and i sometimes have game loading issues in general - quite possibly my pc's fault).

Any issues ive had recently with betfair tend to be site related in general - certain pages wont load or come up with a strange error in the top corner.. so i use the app in those cases. Otherwise games seem ok for me at moment.

Thanks for checking, I've spoken to 3 reps who all say their team is working on it now to get the site back into functionality.

Meanwhile all I see is this on anything other than ancient looking Betfair casino games.

Definately working as expected atm . Been getting my arse handed to me for 8 hours on money cart 2 useless reels, with no problems. What a shit game too, literally does similar to the good old HTML Doa tease, shows you missing the good symbols one above and then when spinning off they magically are not even where it claimed they landed.
Also feels like im playing a reskinned but more volatile version of jammin jars with the way the symbols land. Go 40 features with none or 1 picture symbol, but hit 2 ? oh, u can have another 3 or 4 then now uve hit 2 because that's how random works, sorry if it accidently tilts you! ;)
Anyway working fine and playing as expected, yes. Time to attack the bottle of JD and get back to my ass raping.

Dagnabit. What the heck is going on. It feels like they've nerfed my ability to play anything but their "premium" range which in my opinion all look old, clunky and unappealing.

Good luck out there!

You aint missin out imo. as far as slots go this casino is terrible. free spins are offered on the shittest of games, when youve played 4 years of the "spin until you win more than 10p" promotions and only once or twice won anything over 50p, just sums up how tight they are with choosing the shittest games available. Take the last one yesterday as an example. "spin until you win a minimum of 10p". ok, i will. 20 spins or so, 5 wins, 2p 2p 2p 2p 2p . I'd of closed my account there long ago if i didnt use it for poker.

Around 10 days now, have been asked to contact again tomorrow which happens every time I talk to their live chat.

Same questions every time from the chat people.

- Have you tried another device, the answer has been yes, every time they ask.

- reset internet, since once of them suggested it's my connection, it's not.

- Have I tried other browsers, yes I have and they all have the same outcome, they don't work.

- the app relies on browser, so asking if the app works is like asking if the browsers work, they do not.

- The small amount which do work are looking to be from Playtech.

- The one time I saw an error code glitch which suggests server issues.

- 10+ days and going I'm circles.

After all of these questions, each and every time, I am told that they are working on it, then told oh wait a moment, others are saying the same now every time and it all feels like a wild goose chase for a real solution.

Excluded without being excluded since 99% of games are not working and none of the remaining games are interesting.

Sounds really odd. I've never tried Betfair slots and only used it for Poker. Their poker app works as magic. Never had an issue. Tbh tho for such a huge company it's a really unfortunate situation. If I were to play slots I'd probably pick a casino provider in the future instead of a betting company if I were you

Just sticking my nose in with my "IT Professional" hat on...

This happens on different devices - are they all on the same internet connection? If so, could just mean you need to adjust your DNS Server settings (v easy to do on a Windows PC).

If it's different devices on different internet connections, then it'll be a Betfair account issue

Definitely appreciate the IT input, I'm handy myself this way, usually.

I've never needed to mess with DNS settings at all, ever, which makes me think as these games work on other sites that it is them, could absolutely be wrong though.

Have tried Windows device, two android devices, at one point whilst trying to load various games at random I was presented with an error which was unusual and upon looking it up the results were talking about API (not familiar...) and server problems.

I never use 4G/5G but I turned it on for once to try another connection, the result was the same.

Convinced it's at their end but their tech department is either slow or they are saying it is being looked into when it is not, it could be a complex problem of course which takes time but it doesn't feel that way.

Ah okay, if you've used a mobile connection too, then it's likely not that.

I have seen (rarely) issues with DNS servers being weird on specific sites.

If you want to have a quick check, do a search in Windows for "network connections" and "view network connections". Right click on your WiFi, click "Properties" Select "Internet Protocol version 4" and "Properties" for that. Then change the 2 DNS things at the bottom from automatic to use the following:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Those are Google's public ones - I use them for my work servers, so know they're all good.

Check if that makes a difference. If not, change it back to Obtain DNS automatically.

Worth a go! It won't do any harm.

Thanks, again appreciated for the advice. I was about to look into it when I thought as I'd given up with it I would try again and after around 2 weeks it seems to be working again, strange one.

I was told I would receive an email when it was fixed but did not. Maybe it fixed itself, we'll likely never find out.
