Auctioning adspace at Casinomeister and Got2bet

considering igglobal has ownership of partypoker and skins, they can really bring the house down on this auction

Yep, there are some power houses out there with some really good people behind them.
King Solomons has it for $57,001 :D

Where the heck is WIM from Fortune in all of this? Have a good one.
Fortune Lounge may be waiting until the 11th hour to jump in as perhaps some other folks.

And lets not start on Wim; he was in Phuket, Thailand with a group of friends when all this happened, and this tragedy has been very personal for him.

I'm not starting on anybody Bryan. That was a very simple question.

Well I think this is just awesome of both of you!! Come on where are the big fish I was waiting for Golden Palace or Sunny to jump in, the 11th hour will be very very interesting to see and it would be nice to see some MG casinos next to 32 Red in this bid.
Captain Cook has also set up a relief fund but as for some of the others I have not heard a word and believe me as a player I will remember this when it comes to me deciding where to play!

Cheers and God Bless!

I feel the same as Vixen. I watch the casinos that are bidding and I take notes as to where I should open a new account or play more. A banner will be great publicity but just bidding on this auction is showing compassion and concern for humanity.

This is an excellent initiative. Well done, Casinomeister & Spearmaster!

Sunny contacted me a couple of days ago expressing their support, but they have already planned on donating a large sum in another fashion. I'm sure you'll be hearing about this soon.

Boy, did it EVER get HOT all of a sudden!

In a 14 minute timespan, VIP Casino, Iglobalmedia and Acropolis Casinos jacked up the ante to $71,004... with Acropolis currently King of the Mountain.

Who will challenge Acropolis? Stay tuned!

BTW, Acropolis is the first Playtech to bid :)

I've belatedly acquiesced to the suggestion to Email casinos recommending they bid: FL, VPL and Inter.

Wooohoooo Wagershare glad to see you in on the action!!!

Just got off the phone with a rep from Golden Palace, they had no clue about this, ummmm yah ok if you say so...lol
I think that's Wagercasino not Wagershare affiliates :D

And GP was in the loop; just not their support people.

The second person today to take the words out of my mouth. I was on the verge of posting just that.

Fanfuckingtastic result. Probably the best casino out there. Ryan obviously got my email. :)

Superb. What more can you say?

Bravo to all involved!!! Glad to see #1 step up when it counted. Thanks Intercasino.

Meister could you post a list of all casinos who were involved. I think many members would like to remember when deciding where to put their money.

WELL DONE! Meister and Spear. :notworthy

Big up to Inter.

I would promise to play there but I do already. ;)

Really pleased the winner is one of the 'good boys' as it protects the reputations of Bryan and Ted when the casino is recommended on their sites.

Wonder how many people will still be alive next year who otherwise wouldn't
be because of this auction?

Sleep easy tonight boys. :)

Mitch

Intercasino took it fair and square, and Intercasino should get all the credit and the only credit.

$111,000 to be exact!

My sincere thanks to everyone who participated and made this auction a roaring success - thank you to all the members of the forum who urged their favorite casinos on, thank you very much to all the casino operators who bid selflessly:

Iglobalmedia (and Iglobalmediapartypoker)
King Solomons Casino
Acropolis Casinos
The Wager Casino group
VIP Casino
32Red Casino
OnlineGambling.com
Crystal Palace Casino
Virtual Casino
Winward Casino

A special thanks to Croupier who got the bidding started before we restricted the auction only to casino operators.

And of course thank you very much to the winner by a nose, Intercasino! What an amazing Houdini feat you pulled off at the last second - and what a wonderful contribution you are making for the victims of the tragic tsunami that struck South Asia on Dec. 26th, 2004.

I won't use the F word since it's already made it here... but I did say HOLY SHIT! Twice, for that matter...

I am personally humbled and awed by everyone's efforts. I'm sure Bryan feels the same way.

Gratefully yours,

Ted Loh

I found entertaining that if you go here:

The 'Meister previously auctioned someone's dad off (who was a Buy It Now Used item, nonetheless). ;) I found it when I got redirected to closed auctions from the ongoing auction link I had saved.

Cheers, Intercasino!
Ha ha, that's where I was testing the software before launching the auction :D

That is great that the best casino steped up to bat and won and helped to donate such a large sum, 11x more than Bush put in. And now I don't feel so guilty having given more to Intercasino than to South Asia relief efforts ;)

EBay closed the original auction Wednesday, citing numerous rules violations. Spokesman Hani Durzy said auctioneers are not allowed to advertise that money for their items will go toward a cause.

Thats a crock - sure seems like ebay has a bunch of quacks making the decisions! The

auction is over 25k and has been on EVERY major network I can think of. On each he has clearly stated what the money will be used for.

I find it funny that they offered to reopen Bryans account - snub ebay! Then again I wish I had thought of the human ad :D

On another note I applaud both Bryan, Ted, and with winning bidder Intercasino its a wonderful cause.

Congrats Bryan and Spear!

Bryan and Spear, your commitment to help this cause is commendable indeed. And congrats to Intercasino for being the highest bid. I hope all the casinos who didn't get the high bid (and those who did not participate) and members alike are inspired to give more(!) than they think they can afford, because this truly is a huge need. Witness the suffering, which we who are fortunate enough to play around here and online, could never truly imagine in losses.
As an aside, I did some looking around on the site, and see Intercasino in the reputable casino site, listed as a wagerlogics software, but in this link (which was posted as a link from Casinomeister) it is stated to be cryptologic (are they the same?)

Could someone clear this up please?
Thanks.. and once again, a special congrats and kudos to Bryan and Spear for your great idea and the work you did to carry it through!
