Once again, the barn door is open and they are shovelling it at AIB.Many people had written about the seemingly cavalier way AIB was treating its patrons. Like a lamb to the slaughter, not only did I allow myself to be misled, I acually posted many times in AIB's defence. Not this time! Back in January of 2000, Mark, from AIB, posted here, telling all that a Comp programme was in development which would award bonuses for game play, similar to other casinos I assume. Because of the allegations that players who had left AIB were being enticed to return with lump sum bonuses, he posted on January 9, 2000, in this forum: " Re: Comp Program, it's still being worked on, and bonuses to existing players should happen shortly,
when AIB gets the new comp module/code from us. Just like in real casinos, you'll now be awarded for
your gameplay drop, in a beginning-of-the-month-bonus added to your account, whether you win or lose,
based on a formula the real casinos actually use."
Finally, a year later AIB has instituted "the programme". What did it mean for loyal, long-term players? Nothing. No lump sum bonuses, no monthly gameplay drop bonuses........zilch. Instead they have started the Coral Club.....application must be made ( if you have played for 6 months), and if criteria ( kept secret, of course) are met you will become a member.
My question, to AIB, is What about all the loyal, long-standing members ( like myself - 2 years)? What are you going to give us? Why were so many rejected for the Coral Club, with no explanation? Why must the criteria be secret?
This missive is long enough, so I shall leave with this final question: Will AIB respond, protecting player confidentiality, to these questions? Tune in tomorrow to find the answer.
