Does anyone ever have this problem? The reels on the slots just spin and spin taking forever to stop. I have been having this problem frequently at Cherry Red, but my other RTGs are working fine. I talked to CS and was told I have the connection problem. How so? As I stated my other casinos are working fine. Also what I notice when the reels do this or are jerky is that I have terrible sessions. Anybody know why this lag and more importantly, how I can fix it? I'm on a T-1 connection, so there can be no issues with my speed.

It does sound like a connection problem (which aren't always about speed). There could be a bad server or router between you and their servers. If there is, packets could be getting dropped or corrupted leaving the reels without the information they need on where and when to stop.

Arghhhh! x2

This happens to me at all RTG casinos. First couple of spins are smooth, then they go jerky. Some games all the time, some don't do it at all. Sometimes I have to exit the casino to make the spinning stop. I thought it was a connection problem also. (It's not). Scans will make the reels jerk too, so I paused them, (no change). I even uninstalled and reinstalled. Nada, zip, zilch. Makes my eyes bounce.

I had a similar problem yesterday to all RTG's i've tried to play.

The solution was so simple and had to do with the adobe flash player.

When i was spinning with all other programs closed, the reels was in slow motion and took forever to reel.

When i open up a website that has any flash banner displayed and let it open, the reels was spinning normally at all RTG's!

Try this, maybe it will not work at your software, but finally it was a fix for me...

Simple it may be, but the problem lies with RTG. They have produced code that is incompatible with Flash in some way when operating "normally", but that having a "normal" Flash banner switched on clears it.

This looks like the RTG code fails to initialise the Flash player properly, but displaying a Flash banner fixes this, by correctly initialising Flash. This then benefits the RTG casino, as well as the Flash banner.

yup I agree with that Rock. I played at 3 RTG casinos yesterday, ( 4 including cherry) and it was only Cherry that suffered this slow down of spins. Bad servers on their end in my opinion. Mind you im not surpised, I rarely play with any of their casinos anymore, their slot payout %`s are absolutely diabolical. Talking from my own experience ( over 50 deposits not ONE cashout) they are easily the tightest, RTG outfit on the net. Small wonder their going down the pan. Titan and Allstar blow the pants off them!

I was playing at Cherry Red today and I just wanted to either win big or lose quickly just to get out of there. It was painfully slow! It has been that way for quite a while, now.

What the heck is going on there? PLUS when I want to put in a bonus code I can't,even when I am at zero, because the 'bonus details' is still there, so I have to contact Live Support to sort this out...every time!

I just give up and go elsewhere.

Heya,

I've also experienced it, and have alerted RTG to the thread and the issue.

Woooof

Well, despite my having some tough sessions lately, I won 3 separate random jackpots there recently of over $40,000 in total.

Their VIP manager, Michael has been very gracious and patient with me, inspite of the fact that I called to his attention my dissatisfaction with some recent play and I got a bit angry over it.

I will say this casino pays and my weekly installments came in like clockwork, ontime, with no excuses.

Tonight, I spoke with customer service rep named Ann. She was very friendly and very responsive. This is still one of the best casinos on the net, in my opinion.

thx for pointing this out ;-9

exactly the reason i stopped playing rtg. i even have new computer, internet now stil the same issue. slow reels, slow sounds the random counter either is frozen too slow or makes crazy movex. fe. i open a slot random is at 1231$ it goes up to maybe 1234$. so if i close and reopen the slot its again on 1231$ and counts in same manner like before??

this totally destroys trust in games running correctly and funfactor is minus 100% ;-)

jackpot capital and titan support was more than helpful on this. all they got back from rtg technics was on backend my connection is fine no worries ;-)

?

its same for me, i always load buzzluck.com bacause of the flash and nice music ;) and the reels drop to normal in one second. but the randoms still make issues sometimes ;-)

i hope oneday rtg gets this fixed! imho its not acceptable for casino software.

ps: casinos always told me youre the first reporting this issue ;-) good to see many others have this problem aswell and its not due to my pc or connection, which would have been very unreasonable for me.

cheers

I also just found that playing something in Youtube fixes this too. Very strange.

Not really because YouTube initiates their content with a flash controller. Which I would believe loads into your browser cache.

Hence when you open the RTG flash casino the correct instructions are present and it opens as it should.

The number of incidents of casino software with sloppy coding is getting beyond a joke

Cheers

:)

I experienced this same issue the first time years ago. I accidentally found by opening up a yahoo page that the software would run smoother then. I don't know if this still works because I seldom play RTG anymore.

I'm on day 3 of having this problem. It's really taking the fun out of the game play and guess what? While this is happening do you think I'm hitting many feature rounds? Nope. I mean, what am supposed to do, wait it out and not play? I have a wagering requirement to meet and this is making it really hard to do.

I originally discovered this playing a 3Dice tourney at the same time. When 3Dice is running RTG runs faster. It didn't make sense until one day I was writing a flash program in Macromedia and noticed RTG was running way faster. Now I just open Macromedia if I want the slots running in turbo. :)

Well, management got back to me today and said technical department monitored it and there is no problem. Coincidently, my last several sessions when the software was doing this were losers for me. I've uninstalled the casino and won't be going back there for a long time, if ever. I won there before and am now convinced that they are trying to retaliate for this.

Classic problem. There is OBVIOUSLY an issue, but the casinos LIE about it REPEATEDLY, saying they have checked, and there is no problem. Well, if it's not a problem, it is a DELIBERATE FEATURE encoded into the software.

Since players are frustrated, and the games are too slow, then there ARE far fewer feature rounds, but this is because there are fewer spins, hence fewer feature rounds PER UNIT OF TIME.
IF players are having less fun because of such problems, then they believe they are being "ripped off" by the software, since they feel the negative aspects more painfully than they would if it ran smoothly.

IF it runs better with MORE applications open, then it MUST be a problem with the coding on the client side. It has FAILED to do something that other applications are doing as routine, and that the RTG client then benefits from.

Hi Guys,

I'm too nice of a guy to be doing this .. I happen to know exactly why all of you are seeing the behavior you are .. so if someone asks the RTG guys to include the following single line of code anywhere in their startup .. it will be solved.

TimeBeginPeriod(1);

Not that difficult huh ?

(It switches default time behavior in windows to be 1ms based instead of 15 - this is a system wide setting so the rtg developers probably have something running that does that and so they wouldn't be seeing this problem. Players that don't have anything running that made this call would see it. It's a beginner mistake.)

lol too great 3dice steps in to fix rtg:D:thumbsup:

@ enzo: does this fix need to be running during play on rtg or does one have to just run it one single time?

thx for the great fix. that was what i was looking for longtime now ;-)

cheers

I played at inet and lock tonight and they were ok without opening youTube videos or any other tricks (both sucking money in very fast too lol). Tried Cherry Red - very sloooooow and could not even load games at Rushmore. If they say that they don't have problems with their server, it might be a problem with their client because something is definitely screwed up.
Too bad because its the only group who still offer normal weekend bonuses, all other RTGs got so cheap. I am bored tonight...yawn

yes i get this too at rushmores casinos

I had this too at all rushmore casinos and this reason and their ridiculous payout was for me the reason, to never play there again and since they're no more offering
weekend bonuses with Moneybookers/Neteller deposits and their ridiculous "we need your password to close your account" rule, i know now at least, that i've done the very right thing!

Titan and AllStar normally offer 100 % match bonuses every weekend as well
Thanks, just for reference Rushmore group offers 5*150% bonus x20 wagering and BJ and VP allowed. I got very little bonus offers from AllStar neither i ever won there anything at all so i am done making my donations to them lol

If you say so, but Rushmore group is shady to say the least. On your head be it lol :what:

My few months of $4000 per week installments came in on time as they said they would, so it's hard for me to call them shady.

My weekend bonuses as a VIP are 200% with a 20x playthru (D+B). Not a bad game, if you ask me.

Currently sitting on a balance of $1489 with $6200 in playthru left to go. I may be ok on this one, except for the annoyance of the reels.

Well no I was critising the fact of their requesting sensitive information such as passwords which I think almost everyone agrees is somewhat very questionable. So long as you getpaid though thats the main thing Take

I think it has something to do with there heavy flash based lobby. I noticed this especially when it comes to places like Pure Vegas, Cherry Red, Aladdins, Club World and Lucky Red. The more flash intensive the lobby. The slower the reels spin just because they already have a horribly graphics heavy lobby in the background. Now you get into a place like All Star, iNetBet, and Titan. Where's a basic, simple, and clean cut lobby. Then yes its going to run faster because they haven't already taken a good chunk of your graphics memory for there lobby. Now trust me I'm all about pretty graphics and glam, because that's all they can offer online since it's not a real casino. On the other note though when it takes away from my playing experience I'll play elsewhere until the lobby is cleaned up a bit and not so graphics heavy. I have thought on a few occasions on trying this on my gaming machine to see if the games play any better or not. I decided tho it wasn't worth it cloggy up my good machine with casino software to only have it still not play very well.

Oh that note tho despite to slight delay at Aladdins, I did end up cashing out on a N/D chip they offered me. So I was happy about that. Now only if we could clean up the lobby a bit. Trust me I'd become a fan again.

Wheels spinning

I did the new player deal at Rushmore the other day. Half the time the reels kept spinning on and on. Putting it on turbo play helped.

Cherry casino was just as bad a couple days before that...

Also got this freebie from Aladdins Gold and noticed the delays in spins.
Even with Turbo Play enabled it sometimes took 5-10 seconds for the reels to land.
Don't know if its the lobby that causes this, as I've played there with the new lobby before and never noticed delays.
The slots paid fine, made playthrough and could cashout a small amount, so no complaints there..:D:D

Yeah, I have had this happen at Rushmore and Cherry Red. Not sure how to fix it. I will say they are pretty responsive. I called in after a deposit and the reels not stopping. The CS added a bonus to my account for the trouble. I like both of these casinos.
What about when you hit the stop button, and it does not stop right when you click it, but lags and stops later? That bothers me.

Rushmore and Cherry Red have paid me every single time I withdrew. While my WD usually sits in there for 3-5 days, they do pay! Club World is really fast, usually within 24 hours or less my WD is sent to Quick Tender. I never seem to win at Inet for some reason. All are reputable IMO

I found out by accident if I start a rival casino while the play at a rtg one is slow, the rtg speeds up. Try that, it helps...even if I have no idea why...

Yes it happens, it re-initiliazing the flash player that's why they spin normally after you have another flash based window open.

Yesterday adobe released a new update on the flash player, and seems it's now working better than before. All RTG's reels fast and normal to me right now without any window open.

Still runs slow on my machine. I think for me it has to do with the graphics card and flash combined. I know when I tried putting linux on here it threw a fit because of the graphics card I have. In the newer machine I have RTG runs great. Otherwise eh.
So for now I still have to run Firefox with a flash ad running in order to get faster reels.

It never got resolved for me, at least not consistently. It seems while these malfunctions are happening coincidently the results were terrible too. I tried time after time to resolve with the casinos and they wouldn't even throw me a bone even after a few really bad sessions. You'd think as often as I played there they would have thrown me a free chip once in awhile. NOT once! All they did is rub my nose in the fact that I won a few months ago but refused to address the bad play and results as of the last couple months. I finally asked them to just close my accounts. F 'em. I play where my business is appreciated and people care. Good business people don't let their egos run off perfectly good paying customers.

Most of the RTG's run fine for me, providing I have another flash window open, but two of them sucked.

I quit playing at Lock because half the time I couldn't log in, then when switching games I would lose the connection and have to log in again. Needless to say it was uninstalled.

I signed up at Bodog today, and it takes over 30 seconds to load a game, then the reels just spin for 30 seconds before they stop. The RTG games are like that, and their proprietary games are worse. The other shitty thing is I deposited with Visa, and the only option they give me to withdraw is by check. Another uninstall after I get my money.

I will speak with the casino manager about this, thank you for the feedback!

Ok guys, the casino manager is aware of the issue, he apologizes for any inconvenience, and his technicians are investigating in order to remedy this issue as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience,
Becky

I must say Becky seems to be on top of everything around here! Hopefully the problem is fixed but shes Johnny On The Spot for sure!!

I just signed up at cherryred today, same thing. Hit the spin button ant it takes 10 seconds before the reels start to stop. Another fricken uninstall! I tried Enzo's fix to no avail.

Come on RTG, fix this damn issue already.

Clubworld plays fine for me.

Slow is not always bad

I found that sometime, when the round ends up within 1 sec, it is really annoying. I prefer that it is a bit slower and longer so I can hope for a bit to win...
