Hello fellow forum members :) ,

I thought that since we've closed the book on the 2005 season, and now we're starting a new chapter in '06, we should go back one last time and explore who did what in Casinomeister.com's most famous thread, the Winner Screenshots thread.

The "Top-20 "

Winner Screenshots
"CHAMPIONS"

Now, we haven't a clue as to who cashed-out at what point, therefore, for all we know, KasinoKing could have accumulated the most winnings this year. I was just tabulating all the posts that were made, and that's all I can go on.

There were a couple of notable omissions.

- Hoffman: Why? Based on rumblings as to whether or not his posting were authentic. We haven't seen him since those accusations have arised, therefore we do not know the legitimacy of his Winner Screenshots. If they are legit (my lord), I do apologize.

- jonevegas: Why? I can't read the winning amounts. I see that he had some MONSTER wins, that were parlayed off of a $59 paycheck (very impressive). I've included his winning $20,000 (I think) in the thread that follows. My apologies to him, because in all likelyhood, he's WAY up on the list above.

Sidenote: I didn't include Simmo's! dream win of $66,241.60 over at 32Red, where in his dream, he managed to line-up 15 Thors on Thunderstruck. If you're curious as to what I'm talking about, check-out the thread, dated Feb. 3rd. In my dreams as well, but during a Free-Spins feature at $45 a spin! :notworthy

Sidenote II: I didn't count wins from casino tournaments (not that there were many of those in the first place), nor did I count full gambling sessions. IOW, like someone depositing $100, and walking away with $5,000 playing a bunch of BJ over a 6-hour period. That's great! But... that's not REALLY a Winner Screenshot. Or at least, that's not how I perceive it. If the player has a winning hand of BJ, I counted that towards the players winnings (for screenshots). They should make a seperate thread for greatest sessions (has that ever been done here... not so sure?), as opposed to just screenshots.

Who posted the most in "'05"?

The rules are straightforward. This list is for those who've posted the most Winner Screenshots. Now, in the event of a tie, I give the person who had won the most money precedence. Now, let's run-down the list.

#1
Slotster

How many posts: 94
Recorded amount won: $134,197.60
Biggest win: $8,000 (September)
Best month: September ($58,504.05)

While Gramma did come out ahead with those monster progressive wins, I wouldn't hesitate a second to say that Slotster is the most consistent prolific poster in the Winner Screenshots thread for '05.

You want to see how consistent he was? Here we go, let's analyze his winnings by month-by-month breakdown.

January
$9,811.10
February
$6,382.34
March
$6,101.48
April
$7,137.75
May
$4,357.50
June
$18,423.45
July
$9,443.29
August
$2,145.50
September
$58,504.05
October
$4,427.20
November
$382.00
December
$7,082.00

So, for the "2005" season, Slotster averaged $11,183.13 per month. Very impressive. Ignoring the months of November (tragically low), June and especially September (which would have to be considered an aberration/or a magical stroke of genius compared to the rest of the year), Slotster still holds an overly impressive average of $6,320.90 per month. He's the only player that held any kind of consistently throughout the year. He's an MVP. Amazing stuff!! :notworthy

Sidenote: Slotster's month of September wasn't too far off the mark from matching the total of the first 8 months (prior to his MOLTEN-LAVA hot month).

Sidenote II: Again, when I say that he's consistently winning, we're talking according to what we see from his postings. No one's under the impression that people can consistently win (profit-wise) like that, although... if Slotster IS... he's sooooooo good.

Just out of curiosity, if you were wondering where the Casinomeister himself placed, he would have been #16th with only 10 posts. Goes to show you that he's been REALLY busy (if you compare the Winner Screenshotsthread from '05 to '04). Mr. Bailey recorded winnings of $17,591.58, with his biggest win coming in March at the tune of $3,375.

- silcnlayc: My apologies, because I couldn't quite a couple of your screenshots. Thus, my tabulations on your winners have been left undetermined. I can't make-out posts #2345 as well as #2352.

THIS 'N THAT

- "aquag" posted 4 Royal Flushes for a combined $16,000. They all came in November.

- "satori" is really coming on. She had posted a couple of times in April for just over $2,300, and over the past 2 months, she's been on fire recording $3,000 in November, and another $4,152.50 in the cold month of December.

- Another newcomer, "Warrior Cherokee" with the very bright and lively avatar, wielding his magic during the month of December.

"Chill" literally "chilled" over the past several months. The first half of the year, saw Chill win $12,552.50. Since then... (cue... forest sounds)

- "schnozzy" has been hot over the past couple of months as well, having won $13,283.50 since the beginning of November.

- If there was ever a drought in the Winner Screenshots thread, it was in the middle of the year, around mid-June through July. And one could argue that this was the case again in late November through the better part of December. If there was a high time, it was around March-April.

- Creator of the Winner Screenshots thread, polli123 :notworthy of Germany, made 1 post for the '05 season. The shot needed (needs) to be resized in order to be seen. Oh well, I'm sure if James Naismith (inventor of basketball) were around today, in all likelihood, he wouldn't be able to hang with today's flock of NBA stars.

- When doing the addition for Slotster's and Kasino King's monthly records, I had to convert the U.K. pound into U.S. dollars. I did so by internet, via www.XE.com (a handy tool).

- Beautiful shots: "quber" - the banana avatar that looks cross, lined-up 5 wilds at Tombraider earlier this year. To me, having played SOOOO much of that game, to me, it's probably the most beautiful shot. Also, I'd like to remind some of that "morose" hit for $13,000 at a PlayTech (ditto KK's), playing Chinese Kitchen. Lovely win!!

- "Great luck comes in 4's???" - Amazing, but "aquag" managed to get 4 Royal Flushes around the same time at the beginning of November.

Closing notes: Reviewing all of these winning screenshots, after some time, made me want to ask MG, what's up with not sending a few big hits to John Steed's IP address during what turned-out to be a not so (for me) memorable year. Alas the new year begins, and as I can see, tim5ny has posted the 1st Winner Screenshot. Good luck to everyone in the '06 season!! :)

Another AWESOME post Mr.Steed! :notworthy  :notworthy

So I don't like to criticize - but there is one problem - you don't know what currency people played in at MG casinos!
For example, my biggest win was Great Big British POUNDS! (ap. $1,105)

Non the less - yours was STERLING work! :D

i cant believe you didnt place links to all the big wins - i mean, i had to go searching through ALL the posts...!!!!

NO EFFORT THERE WHATSOEVER!

hehe...great post johnsteed - must of taken you aaaaaggggeeesss

I Second that John Steed, for Casinomeister historian going forward. Absolutely GREAT WORK !!

I would have rather been in 12th or 14th place though instead of 13th for Total Amount Won......Sheeze 13th place....that can't be lucky for the New Year....although time will tell.

Awesome work. :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

chuchu59

13 means lively and energetic and the Chinese New Year will be with us in 3 weeks time.

I'm engraving 13 into my chest with a sword... j-j-j-ju-ust a m-m-m-ooo-ment.

(edit pages and pages of screaming, howling... as blood drips to the floor...)

Okay, now MG REALLY has no more excuses to be unkind to me. Geez, my lucky number is #4, and that's just fine and dandy back in my homeland. Unfortunately, as chuchu59 could attest to, is that #4 is unlucky on this side of the Pacific. At least (as I'm told) in Korean, the number #4 "sa" (pronounced ssa), and as I understand "sa" in Chinese is either blood/death (or something like that). When I change continents in the coming year, I'm hoping that my lucky #4 can bring me some good luck again... because it's been a curse on me out here.

Damn i could have come 2nd if i'd not started that Golden Goose Winner Screenshots thread. That'll teach me.:D

Whoa, that's what I was missing! For whatever reason, I was scratching my head thinking, thinking that I was certain that Simmo! had faired MUCH better than this. :what: Sorry about that, but if I'm jumping to every thread, researching, I think that would take me a solid week to do.

One of the main reasons why I wanted to do this thread (and research), was to find-out if my perceptions were accurate (or, IOW "reality"). I was always certain that Simmo! was #1, although I did have it in the back of my mind that Gramma's progressive wins likely would have put her at the top. I was also certain that Casinomeister and Spearmaster would make the Top 4-5 for my "Champions" (total accumulated value) list, which surprisingly they didn't (which again, likely coincides with their being much more busy this year as opposed to '04). What I hadn't really noticed, was some of the other posters like a Caliban, a Chill, or a PhilipFromParis, did much more than I had ever realized (in '05).

***

spearmaster

BTW, what are you in real life, a researcher?

No, I wish. I'm an English teacher out here in South Korea. Though in my free time, I love breaking-down numbers for sports (most notably: baseball). While I did do a lot of research for this particular thread, what had been logged, I fear, might not be 100% accurate. Why? Some of the numbers aren't as clear as I would have liked (saved screenshots). As we all know, some of those screenshots are either too small, or too unfocused and blurred. I had to do lots of conversions as well, for the new MG games as well as the games that were played in U.K. pounds.

What started as a fun idea, would later evolve into a tedious marathon. In the end though, I made a couple of minor errors that I can't edit (repeating things) now, but all-in-all, I'm happy with the final lay-out (and results).

For example, my biggest win was Great Big British POUNDS! (ap. $1,105)

You're absolutely right. I only recorded what was seen, or what was typed in those posts. But, there was bound to be some mistakes. I did do quite a number of conversions for Slotser, a couple for yourself, as well as a few for others. As far as I can recall, your $1,105 win read as 607.20 (off a .54 cent bet), and since it was at 32Red (Playcheck), I assumed that they only used dollars as opposed to pounds. Again, I only converted what I had clearly seen was written in pounds (eg. your win of 76.26 in pounds in Aug./and your most recent Dec. win at 70 pounds).

Sidenote I: My apologies, because I omitted your December win at Cluedo (which does look like fun). Not JUST because it was too low, but at that point, after tediously recording everything for roughly a 9-hour run, I wanted to jump out my apartment window (and not in celebration for the new year  ). I also couldn't make out some of the older posts that have vanished, like ExSparr's and 2brnot2b's earlier posts from the beginning of '05.

Sidenote II: What a beautiful shot, really! How they all lined-up like that, great stuff. :notworthy I'm sure it happens, but I have yet to see someone pull that off during a free spin feature. On a large enough bet, one could retire.

Sidenote III: My greatest slot win to date, was on Tomb Raider, where I hit 4 scatters to go into a free spin feature, where on the very first spin, I got another 4 scatters. I didn't get a shot of it, but it was for several hundred dollars off a reasonably low bet.

John, you are right about the unluckiness of those numbers. Yet it might interest you to know that my own lucky numbers are 4, 14 and have been ever since I was a child.

So much for superstitions... but I don't go loudly announcing my lucky numbers to my friends ;)

What an absolutely outstanding effort JS, which I'm pleased to see has been recognised by the many "thank you" votes. I believe your "reputation" star must be the fastest rising we have seen to date, and it is well deserved due to the tremendous amount of work you put into these interesting threads and facts.

Kudos!

Hey johnsteed - another great thread

Yeah, not everything is here from me - busy, yeah sure. But some of my biggest wins were lousy screenshots so they never got posted (accumulated free spin amounts, etc.).

And I'll never forget the five scatters I got on Spring Break ($9 spin = $4500 payout). I was giggling like a school girl and hit the wrong buttons for the screenie. It never came out, but Spear could have checked his affiliate account to confrim :D

While giggling like a school girl... you also forgot that there is something called Playcheck which could have proven your point :) And my affiliate account only showed a big hit, no way of knowing who or what caused the damage :D

Playcheck screenshots suck - thus I said fuck it.

Sidenote: There are a lot of handles that use "max" in them. Examples off the top of my head would be: :what:

- maxlevine

- max1mike

- Maax

- metaxa (okay, so that's a bit of a stretch)

Can you think of any more?

I'm presently combing the "Winner Screenshots" thread for a short-list of players I might have skipped-over (and I have one that comes to mind). I didn't add members to this list, who had only posted once (unless it's a MONSTER win of course ;) ).

***

Well, that's all for now. I'm pleased-as-pie that you've enjoyed this post, and again, thank you to everyone who's been supportive (and very encouraging). :o

Woo Hoo!!! I made a JohnSteed list, lol. Ahhhh, August was such a sweet month. That 5K was only one win that month, I forgot I put my 32Red win in a thread all it's own. So you can add another $3,500 to August JS, lol. If only every month were half that good. JS, I really think you should become a professional researcher or data compiler or something. The stuff you come out with just blows me away. If I had half your patience, I'd be a saint. :notworthy

If you were curious as to how the (majority of the) others fared in the "WINNER SCREENSHOTS" thread, allow me to show you.

yay - so did i pinababy!! lol

hi mr steed sir - just to let you know, that if you do intend compiling this next year too, i play in pound sterling!

thanks for the mention and all your time and effort!!

Heh, I never thought I would have made a who's-who thread when it comes to "Winner Screenshots" ... :D

Suffice it to say, I play blackjack 95% of the time (if not more) and currently stand at around 90% profit over the total of 3 years. Very few screenshots because of that, but the credit card bills are finally under control.

Again, kudos to johnsteed for yet another interesting list.

Hi Johnsteed

Well I finally made one of your lists, GREAT!!

Not to nit pick but I think you missed my post of 27/12 05 where I posted a win of 5000. Probably would have pushed me up the table a little.

I play blackjack for the vast majority of time and this does restrict my opportunities to post on the "Winners" thread. I might start posting smaller wins though if I can get onto your lists. eg won 750 at Littlewoods last night and 300 at Inter tonight.

Keep up the good work.

Mitch

Ch-ch-ch-changes, time to make the change...

Hi Mitch :) ,

There's a good reason for that. I did notice that run, but I hadn't included it because it was wins over successive hands, not off of one hit. I believe I voided some of GrandMaster's as well as Dirk Diggler's posts based on just that.

If I did include your win of 5,000 GBP posted in '05, this is what we would come up with:

MITCH

Posts made: 4
Recorded amount won: $15,891.02
Biggest win: $6,250 (April)
Best month: December ($8,641.02)

So looking at that, we know that your biggest hit was for $6,250.00, yet your biggest amount won in a single post is in the amount of 5,000 GBP/$8,641.02. I went over this back-and-fourth, but I couldn't add that because that would throw everything off. While you did provide a screenshot of your logs, I didn't categorize it as being a single hit recorded.

If I were to include your wins (off a incredible run of BJ :notworthy ), I would have to consider the CREDITS/COINS indicator taking precedence over the WIN indicator for each screenshot taken. If that were the case, I'm afraid this whole list would be out-of-whack. Examples of this:

- "Bing's" CREDITS/COINS indicator (not the WIN indicator) in his/her screenshots routinely shows that he/she was (generally) wavering between $10,000 - $30,000 (as high as $44,165.00!!).

- For the 12 posts that he/she donated to the WINNER SCREENSHOTS thread, IF we tabulated his/her posts together (using the CREDITS/COINS indicator) as opposed to the accumulation of single wins, he/she'd be sitting at precisely $285,683.75 ($106,438.75 at Maple Casino and $179,245.00 at 32Red) in winnings.

Now, we know he/she didn't drop back down to $0.00 after each time he/she posted a winning screenshot. He/she was on a roll, building-up his/her unbelievable bankroll (i.e. CREDITS). Allowing the accumulation (addition) of each indicated credit amount (over single wins) would be incredibly unfair. Although it's not the same case as with you, it's not that far off either. Again, to be clear, we're not looking at the session as a whole, but the big hits that happened along the way.

Sidenote: Not only would I love to have known when member were playing in GBP as opposed to USD, but I'd love to know who's a he or a she, but that's just me you see.

***

In the end though, after second thought, I could include wins for Hands #2 (2,000.00 GBP), #3 (1,000.00 GBP), #5 (1,000.00 GBP), and #8 (2,000.00 GBP), because those would count as 4 seperate wins/hits (6,000 GBP). Thus, taking you to this:

If I had included this, you would now have to be considered on the "Top-20 Champions List", moving you to #18 on that list (bumping the Casinomeister down to #19... these alterations will be our downfall :axeman: )

For good measures, if we were to include logs of gameplay over successive hands, I would think that a thread of "WINNER SESSIONS" as opposed to "WINNER SCREENSHOTS" should be created. At least to me, I think of these winner screenshots as being photos taken of single hits (although not everyone will agree with this).

Thanks for the feedback people :) , and that was one great run Mitch!

Brilliant Work!!!! :notworthy:

I feel slightly queasy thinking "where did all the money go!?!??!", but great fun to re-cap nonetheless!! I'm amazed at September too - I had no idea!!! I'm guessing that was the month I hit the crazy cocktail glasses in the free spins at Ladies Nite, and when I lined up the five wilds at Tomb Raider... Happy happy days!

Just FYI, you're absolutely right in that I play in GBP at all casino's I'm registered at (with the exception of InetBet, but not much chance of a winner screenshot for me there  heh hee...)

You're a legend Mr Steed. I'm off to ponder what I could've done with all those wins in Vegas baby!!!!

Cheers!

Best of luck...

Wow, I'm sooooo jealous. I love VEGAS. Always a great time. High-rolling, or low-rolling, or not at all, fun any-which-way. I could sit there talking with friends, playing at the $1-min BJ table w/free drinks, all night/all week long. :D

Well, I wish you good look.

I made the list too!! I agree last August was sweeeeet. I cashed out most of that money too.

Got my first royal of 2006 yesterday I guess I should go over to the winners screenshots thread and post it.

jonevegas: Why? I can't read the winning amounts. I see that he had some MONSTER wins, that were parlayed off of a $59 paycheck (very impressive). I've included his winning $20,000 (I think) in the thread that follows. My apologies to him, because in all likelyhood, he's WAY up on the list above.
I cant seem to get my screenshots right, always when I shrink them the clarity really goes down. Thanks for listing anyway.

jonevegas I use infraview for screenshots. I am not a computer guru so I find it easy. Google it and download. Then on your next win hit print screen minimize the casino, edit- paste- imiage resize to 640/480 and then save as. Just be sure when you save it you save it as a jpeg file. You'll love it and be posting great wins in no time!!

I use a Mac, so it's very easy of course:D just use the Mac OS grab utility to capture the screen, a window, or a rectangle area and resize, save it as a file.

However, that's not a very helpful comment if you run Windows. When I did have a Windows PC, I used Screenhunter. It's free, and it's real easy to use, I loved it. I recommend it for anyone with screenshot trouble. Of course, you could always use print-screen function and then use Screenhunter to select the appropriate area of the screen shot to save as a file.

Screenhunter can be found here:

Opps, that's why you're the Master. Thanks. I think you were the one who told me about that program some time ago. I think it is much easier than using paint. Thanks for the spelling correction.

I have "lost" my Paint program from XP, it's not on my computer anywhere. I noticed a couple of weeks ago when I went to save a screenshot for the Slotjunkies comp. How does a whole program just go missing from your computer, that's what I'd like to know. I ended up using Microsoft Photo Editor? Didn't even know if it would work, but lucky for me it seemed to work fine. I suspect that my five-year old may have had something to do with it, but not positive.

mr steed, may i ask who you prefer? Joanna or Honour Blackman ( me personally it must be Joanna... ever since she stripped for children in need :xxx )

Any way back on topic you mispelled my name :what: you missed the "c" out

and i also play in as well apart from inter us and my vegas palms win

Hello "andyhinckley", and my apologies about the "c" part. I have nada-clue as to who uses GBP over USD, but thank you for telling me. That means you were doubly productive. :D

All the Avengers leading ladies were beautiful, even Linda Thorston.

But, please. At all of their peaks, there's only one obvious choice... Mrs. Emma Peel. :notworthy

But to answer your question, Blackman versus Joanna... Joanna.

Seems like my intro to English TV was "The Avengers" and "Secret Agent Man"...both great...but SAM got a little complicated.

Finally, we got "Monty Python", "Benny Hill" and later..."Fawlty Towers".

Fawlty Towers - PURE GENIUS!!!!

i can watch it over and over and over again and i still split my sides - the funniest tv programme ever to grace british tv

3 of my favourite scenes:

(i) THE GERMANS are sitting down for dinner and Basil is constantly making references to WW2, when the fed up German asks Basil to stop going on about the war, Basil kindly reminds him that they started it. “We did not start it,” protests the German. “Yes you did, you invaded Poland”, replies Basil!

(ii) THE GERMANS are ordering from their menu - BASIL: Okay, so that's two eggs mayonnaise, a Prawn Goebbels, a Herman Goering, and four Colditz salads.
GERMAN: A Prawn Cocktail!
BASIL: Yes, yes…Eva Prawn…

(iii) THE GERMANS - Basil in hospital as the nurse puts him in bed.
BASIL: (nurse leaning over him) By god you're ugly aren't you!
SYBILL: Basil!
NURSE: I'll get the doctor. (rushing out the door)
BASIL: You need more than a doctor love, more like a plastic surgeon!

QUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow!

Thanks for putting together this awesome list! Let's all keep it rolling through 2006!! The holiday madness is finally coming to a close, so I think it's about time to start winning again!

I LOVE the idea of winning session screenshots, but I don't know how to do it. I doubt anybody would want to see six pages of playcheck :-) (or worse yet, a bazillion pages off of the PlayTech sites)

(lol) Yes, I guess "WINNER SCREEN-SESSIONS" isn't quite so catchy. And it would be an absolute bitch having to save the PlayTech history logs that only save up to 31 of your most recent hands/plays/spins (whew-hoo!!!).

What I had meant by "winning sessions" (w/shots) was stating how much you had deposited (prior to the session), and then showing your end result (w/photo). Never as exciting as a "Winner Screenshots", but it's nice to see the end result of someone who went on a wonderful run at BJ, roulette, or whatever game... We don't really read about that here. For instance, I saw that BING was up to $45,000 at one point at 32Red, it would be great to see what he had finished with. At least to me, when I think of "Winner Screenshots", I think of a) slots and then b) VP.
