A Stone Dead Killer

Despite my best intentions, and trying to become involved in the CM community, it appears as if every thread I contribute to, I end up killing stone dead.

Admittedly, I have issues with the constant 'casino bashing' that appears to take place in almost every thread where T&C's have been breached. There does not appear to be a balanced, reasonable response by many of the CM members, who seem to be of the opinion that as some casinos are rogue, all casinos should then be screwed over, whether justified or not.

My responses in return reflect this, which are not well received by the CM community. Hence the stone dead killer.

I am a newbie, and I really wanted to learn from you guys (and gals), but this does not seem to be a community that accepts opposing views to the mantra of "All players good. All casinos bad". And if this is the direction that CM is going in, I am not sure I want to be part of it anyway.

So I am over and out. I came. I saw. I failed miserably.

I have reported this post to the Mods so they can close my account.

You're giving up too soon. :D

Trust me, at CM rogue players, frauds get their fair share of bashing just like casino operators who fall short of our, sometimes too high, expectations.

We move in to defend the good guys on both sides as we detest rogue operators just as much as rogue players.

Stay a while longer and you will discover that we are not blind on one eye. :D

was gonna say along the same lines, be patient, not everything is as it appears, your input is valued, give it some time with thick skin, once you break through they are all a bunch of pussycats.....cept Harry, he a pouncing hyena, watch out......

I believe the OP's judgement is a bit premature - she only joined in September.

I would join the above in advising that you stick around for a little longer....it may change your negative opinion.

... this does not seem to be a community that accepts opposing views to the mantra of "All players good. All casinos bad". And if this is the direction that CM is going in, I am not sure I want to be part of it ...

I do understand your frustration -- the forums can be a bit of a mosh pit sometimes -- but if you look at the overall picture I think it's safe to +1 to what the guys have said above.

I also wanted to state in the strongest possible terms that "All players good. All casinos bad" has got nothing to do with Casinomeister policy.

As the PAB guy here at Casinomeister -- PAB is our "official" complaints procedure (see PAB FAQ) -- I work on a pretty strict "proof keeps everything friendly" policy. In other words I work on evidence not on a bias toward anyone or any group. Well, I do have a bias against scammers and fraudsters -- be they player or casino -- but that's pretty much as it should be I would think.

The point being that we who work behind the scenes here at Casinomeister are about as unbiased on the player VS casino front as you're likely to find anywhere in the industry. Bryan and I have both been in this from the beginning -- that's 1997/98 for you newbies :) -- and we've learned to take the facts as they come and to keep the pre-judgements to a minuscule minimum.

Just thought you might be interested.

lol I thought it was the other way around. Casino good, players bad. read through the threads, members here pounce at the chance to defend their casino so not sure what you are talking about lmao

I would not like to see you go ladyhawke, as I have enjoyed reading your discussions and comments so far.

It is really important that opposing views are debated openly here. It helps us casino reps learn from all of you. Without debate and difference of opinion I fear this would be a very boring place!

Stick around and keep us on our toes!

Rachel.

Usually many members here will jump in to point out to a player that they have breached the terms as opposed to supporting them over the casinos, and you will see that if you check back through many threads.

Lately admittedly many threads have concerned the EMSEB scam and we have the recent Planet7 one and these are threads where on the face of it the fault(s) DO lie with the casino.

The posters here are very quick to spot vexatious complaints and attempts to blackmail or damage a casino's reputation out of spite, and better than us is Max as he has access to all the information we don't in some cases.

If a player or a casino has acted poorly it will be reported so by Max and the mods along with all the members interested - no bias towards one or the other, each case based on its own merits.

Haha...this was exactly my thinking. Glad I wasn't alone :)

If you enjoy reading the forum why go ? And as others said maybe giving up too early ??

This place you get both sides of many storys, no matter if casino operator or player. What I like is you can be away awhile then pick things up again pretty easily.
And personally I have joined a number of "casino" based forums but none come close to the diversity you get here.

Hang around a while longer ... and soon enough it will feel like your online gambling rant love hate casino home

My philosophy online is to post to please myself first and foremost. I don't post for popularity but then I don't post to be disliked either. It appears by the OP that some folk think its a popularity issue. At least there is no evidence of there being a "clique" ( The Bar and Grill not withstanding)

Yeh I'm pretty new also and I just post my opinion of what I'm thinking at the time and that's that . I don't take it too seriously as I have never worked in the casino industry and am basically just a gambler who enjoys playing slots and doesn't want any bs casino rules trying to catch me out when I know I'm already playing at a disadvantage anyway because of house edge. I think all opinions /standpoints are necessary and I have noticed your posts as someone sticking up for the casinos in a couple of threads so I don't know why you are upset really . Maybe you want a cuddle button :)

As with many forums there is the good and the bad.. I would say there is way more good on CM then bad. Thing is you have to have tough skin and realize nothing is sugar coated around here :)
I say stick around and give it another try

+1 to everybody in this thread, including the guy that created it, ive praised some casinos and bashed on some(for at least one valid reason), everybody does same as far as i can see, there are good outfits, there are bad, there are good players, there are the bad ones also, but remember, cm was created to put players on a safe environement as to where they choose to play, this is the info i most value here, i think u should stay a while longer and embrace it, youll see its not that bad.
As an example, before joining cm i would register to almost every dump online was it good/bad it didnt matter, since joining here i have no more than 4 accounts active for my gambling adventures, and yes i havent had a problem with any of those within the 3 years ive been here.

When I joined way back when I had a hard time getting noticed too and thought every thread I posted on would die as soon as I posted. I stayed with it and gave my opinions as respectively as I could and have to say all in all the experience has been positive. This is a great community of very diverse people from many different countries. Some threads offer some very lively debates which can be both frustrating and entertaining all at the same time. Trolls aren't tolerated here which is why I feel that Casinomeister is a very safe environment for both players and casinos to both air their grievances and brainstorm on how to make this industry better.

Ladyhawke give us a chance I promise you will not be disappointed. :)

Was something lost in translation

I don't want to be harsh but this thread makes me think of a teenage girl who posts a status about quiting facebook.

I will totally quit facebook this time. I swear to god guys... Blablabla....

It's a forum... People agree and disagree... Whats the point of quiting if you don't agree with some people? It's fun to talk, learn things and disagree with cm members.

I am tooooootally quitting:)

Why do people announce they are quitting unless they wish to invoke a response and be able to read it?

I disagree. And just for that I'm blocking you and everyone else, including my partner.

Downside to this is that I am now in some parallel dimension where everything is blanked out. And I can't find the unblock tool :confused:
