Dear Webmaster,

My name is Danielle Blas, I am the Business Development Manager for Online-Casino.com.

Online-Casino.com is currently a handful of business opportunities for your website.
We will pay you per month to place one or more links on various pages of your website to our site.

I really enjoyed the great content and layout on your casinomeister.com website.

I would like the link placed on the home page. But, if you are unable to place the link at this exact location, I am certainly willing to find other areas that are acceptable for you.

We are interested in increasing traffic to our website through this link. Do you know, approximately, how much traffic your site receives in a month?

If you are interested in becoming a partner with us, I will send you a detailed list of the available link advertisements, along with a breakdown of the different amounts we will pay for the links.

Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or comments at my email address.

Best Regards,
Danielle Blas

So, should I let them know where they should place their links :D

Unbelievable....

Yes,

I got one over the weekend too. I posted it on CAP and then replied to Danielle to actually look at my site.

Seems they are trying to buy their way out of this mess they got themselves into, instead of addressing the serious concerns we have raised about their unethical marketing tactics.

For the record here is my email:

It seems they are underestimating the intelegence of the average webmaster... :eek2: That was big news a month or so ago when they purchased that URL, they must have thought that we have forgotten. I am sorry but they just prove more and more why they cannot be trusted in any way by players or affiliates.

Shotgun marketing - just crank it out with no professional targeting or care about who you link with and see what comes up.

I can see why you guys are disgusted and embarrassed by this conduct. What the hell is 888.com thinking (if they're thinking at all)

The timing was good eh :) Even more so in my case as it came just a handful of days afetr they wrote to me saying they were blocking my account!

Just a left-hand right-hand job IMO.

It's 888 Holding's AGM on Wednesday according to the corporate website. I wonder what is on the menu for lunch break. I'm betting on Spam Sandwiches. :D

I'm on a roll now, spam roll *groan*

Just reread the lovely considerate mail from Danielle again. This bit stuck out:

How about the Rogue Page Danielle :D

888.com are spending so much on advertising here in the UK, I'm sure they're getting loads of uninitiated and 'first time' customers... As a result, they're probably making the classic big business mistake of 'as long as you're getting enough new customers, forget the ones we've already got'. This often breeds a less than ethical culture in so many businesses (See MCI Worldcom).

Just hope that Casinomeister 'Club Rogue' makes a big enough dent in their new sign ups for it to hurt...

You know I actually wonder if this whole 888 casino rogue page stuff wasn't the original intention, Casava had for their best ever marketing campaign yet! I mean this is like a refer-a-friend, viral campaign with some superhot chillies for sensation.

Achieving rogue status at one of, if not THE most respected and influential watchdog sites is not good viral marketing... People will visit here, and strike 888.com permanently off their 'places to try'... Sure all publicity is good publicity to a certain extent, but long term - this will hurt...

Frankly, I think there ( ;) ) 5 day cashout policy was doing as good a job as anything we could do regarding that :)

Yep Slotster I agree with you on this. My post was dripped of sarcasm but I didn't indicate it. I am just amazed at what 888 is actually thinking. None of what they do makes any sense.

BRYAN:

The Japanese people have a saying "shira nu ga hotoki" literally traslated IGNORANCE IS BLISS. This lastest nonsense from 888 certainly qualifys as ignorance.

Have a good one.

Do they really need to buy space here? I'm getting 888.com pop-ups all the time when I click on any links on this site working from my home PC. Is there a way to block it?

Yes, you need to remove the spyware or adware from your computer.

Is anybody else having this problem? If so I need to know now. Thanks!

Not now that I invested in really good popup blocker/anti spyware SW from my phone co. (Verizon). Smallish price to pay really for the peace of mind it affords.

BTW, interesting thread.........I heard it said recently (no, I don't get out much) that "she couldn't find her ass with both hands." I laughed, the visuals were amusing, and now I have a name to go with the visuals.

Really!!?? Insane! And they're the biggest online by a mile... Just shows you. I tell you what, regardless of the rogueing, as customers are increasingly enjoying a choice of proper quality outfits - they're really going to have to sort it out, or go bust. I said it on the 32RED thread - there's soooooooo much business out there for the taking from the likes of 32RED, Roxy Palace etc... Assuming they can scale up the level of service as the business grows - they're laughing.

The thing is 888 is now a household name, they advertise everywhere you look and sponsor virtually anything you watch on TV gaming and sports channels.

Roxy Palace and 32Red don't come anywhere near.

It just goes to show that an aggressive advertising campaign really can reap financial rewards.

Better things could happen to 32Red with the sponsorship of a Premiership football club. Let's wait and see.

Bryan,

888 has always been a huge user of spyware and rumor has it they bought up an entire year of ezula a few months ago.

I bet Ben Edelman knows exactly what they are up to these days...

You need his email? I'll pm you.

I used to have ezula which I got rid of. Just ran XoftSpy and got couple Golden Palace regkeys, nothing else.
