Does Bet365 Work in Mexico?

By Alex Smith, Last updated Jun 19, 2023

Bet365 is one of the biggest online gambling platforms in the world; every day, it facilitates millions of bets from tens of thousands of players – and their online casino, online sportsbook, and online poker platform are seen as industry-leading in the iGaming world.

While Bet365 accepts players from more than 100 countries, many of our readers may wonder whether they accept players from Mexico. This page will look at the following; If you live in Mexico, can you enjoy sports betting markets like horse racing at Bet365? Can you play poker at the site? Do you need an extensive server network or quality VPN to play there?

Let’s answer all these questions – beginning with a look at what Bet365 is!

What is Bet365?

Bet365 was listed in Casinomeister’s Accredited section from December 2007 until August 2016. During this time, they had done a pretty good job taking care of their players and providing punters with a wide array of gambling platforms, including casino games, sports betting, live dealer games, poker rooms, and bingo rooms.

There was a short sabbatical since they had grown and could not tackle the player issues that occasionally popped up in the forum. We have worked that out since we can keep an eye on things and these guys are solid as a rock. They are a strong and reliable brand.

Over the years, we’ve seen them grow from a run-of-the-mill Playtech casino to a casino with various software providers and gaming platforms. Indeed an impressive feat.

Bet365 offers a wide variety of payment methods for you to use – although the payment methods which will be available to you depend on where around the world you’re located. In Canada, for example, you can make deposits and withdrawals using debit and credit cards – including VISA, MasterCard, and Maestro – along with EWallets and prepaid voucher schemes like InstaDebit and Paysafecard.

The main welcome bonus offer at Bet365 Casino isn’t overly generous, but it’s not the worst we’ve ever seen. They offer a 100% matched deposit bonus of up to EUR100.

It’s pretty much as simple as that – but, naturally, terms and conditions are attached to the new-player deposit bonus. Firstly, the minimum deposit required to claim the bonus is EUR10. There aren’t any maximum cashout limits, although the bonus funds need to clear wagering requirements of 30X within 30 days of the bonus being issued.

It’s also a parachute bonus – a non-sticky bonus – so you play with your cash balance first. This means you’re not subject to any bonus terms and conditions while using your cash balance, and you can withdraw your funds at any time. Once you dip into your bonus balance, the terms come into play. Other terms apply, and game/payment method restrictions apply, too, so always make sure to read the complete terms before claiming the offer for yourself.

Bet365 is primarily a European-facing gaming company that the UKGC, as well as Gibraltar, licenses. They are a privately held company and have an excellent reputation.

Bet365 Casino offers a wide variety of games – one of the best from a prominent bookmaker – and you’ll find hundreds of games to choose from. Under the “Casino” tab, most of the games available are from Playtech.

Head to the “Games” tab, and you’ll see casino games and video slots from a wide variety of software providers, including Play’n Go, NetEnt, Big Time Gaming, Yggdrasil, Blueprint Gaming, and more. The games available at Bet365 for you can vary depending on your country, and you may find different games on offer depending on where you access the Bet365 website.

Like many online casinos, Bet365 Casino focuses heavily on video slots, offering a great selection of slot games for you to take advantage of. For example, load up the main screen within the “Games” tab, and you’ll find several online casino games, with Play’n Go’s Book of Dead showing as the site’s most popular.

When it comes to other casino table games, Bet365 Casino doesn’t offer the most extensive selection in the world. Still, you will find several poker-inspired games from Playtech – and the software allows you to enjoy titles including Premium Baccarat, Sic Bo, and Stud Poker.

Sports Betting

Bet365 hardly needs an introduction when it comes to sports betting. They’re the most prominent sports gambling site on the planet, offering players an insane number of betting markets.

The sportsbook at Bet365 is easy-to-use and easy to navigate. It uses a user-friendly user interface, so finding selections and placing a bet is simple, straightforward, and hassle-free.

You can bet on virtually anything, from Soccer, American Football, and Rugby Union to WWE, Motorsports, and Politics – and it’s undoubtedly among the best sportsbooks on the planet, with fantastic live betting facilities on offer, too.

Bet365 also operates one of the world’s most popular and renowned poker rooms. While the poker facilities at Bet365 aren’t available to players in all countries, those who can play in it are usually left happy. The site offers a wide variety of cash games, tournaments, and sit’n go’s – and the number of players active on the site is usually more than enough to satisfy even the most experienced players.

European Countries Love Bet365: Background and History

Bet365 Casino is one of the biggest online gambling websites on the planet, and it was founded in 2000 by Denise Coates and her brother, John Coates. Bet365 is based in Stoke-on-Trent in England and offers various online gambling products, including a casino, a sportsbook, a poker client, and bingo games.

The casino is well-licensed, and Bet365 Casino holds a license with the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority (among others), allowing them to accept players from all over the world.

Bet365 Casino has a solid track record here at Casinomeister – and they’re an Accredited Casino, meaning they’ve proven themselves time and time again to treat players fairly and deal with any issues quickly.

While there have been issues in the past, they’ve all been resolved – and a quick look around the web shows that most sites hold a similar opinion; Bet365 is incredibly trustworthy, reputable, and reliable – and please visit their website to see for yourself how serious and reputable they are.

So, Is Bet 365 Available in Mexico?

In 2019, posted the following:

Bet365 is now sealing another profitable deal in Mexico, launching the company’s first domain in the country. has gone live, allowing Mexican sports fans to place their wagers at the British headquarters international betting platform.

Earlier this week, the website got the go-ahead from the Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos (DGJS), the body tasked with overseeing the iGaming and betting industries in the country as part of the Ministry of the Interior.

Bet365 has teamed up with a local partner, Ganador Azteca, a subsidiary of TV Azteca, a prominent media conglomerate in the country that owns some of the largest TV networks. Bet365 and TV Azteca now have their eyes on the future, as the Mexican conglomerate won a 25-year licensing agreement from the Ministry last year.

While the original plan was for TV Azteca to launch a subsidiary and team up with multiple operators, the Ministry altered the terms of the agreement only to feature one betting company. Much to the relief of Bet365, the British company was the one to get drafted and approved.

While some “against” opinions have been voiced in the past, most lawmakers in Latin America agree that gambling and sports betting will have a positive effect on the region.”

This means that players from Mexico can now enjoy all of the facilities at Bet365; provided you have an internet connection and an account with the online gambling website, you’re good to go!

Can I use a VPN Server to Access Bet365?

If you live in a country where gambling online isn’t legal – or if Bet365 Casino and Sportsbook don’t accept players from your country – you may be wondering if you can use a VPN (a virtual private network) to access the website. In most countries, online casinos like Bet365 Casino and Sportsbook do not allow customers to use VPNs to access their sites. Furthermore, if you are caught gambling using a VPN server, there’s a strong chance that your winnings will be forfeited and your account closed without notice.

Because of this, we strongly recommend against using a VPN to gamble online; it’s asking for problems, and if you try to access Bet365 Casino and Sportsbook using a VPN, your account will almost certainly be shut down.

However, in the interests of transparency, we should note that Bet365 Casino doesn’t mention VPNs on its terms of service page. They only say, “As you are aware, the right to access and use the Website (including any or all of the products offered via the Website) may be illegal in certain countries. You are responsible for determining whether your access and use of the Website are compliant with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You warrant to us that gambling is not illegal in the territory where you reside.”

While we strongly recommend against trying to access Bet365 Casino and Sportsbook using a VPN, the site doesn’t expressly state it’s against the rules. As always, we’d recommend contacting the customer support team directly if you have further questions.

What is a Free VPN?

If you don’t have the money to pay for a private VPN – with military-grade encryption – then you’ll be pleased to know that it’s possible to use a free VPN to access online casinos like Bet365 – although again, we would strongly advise against doing so. A free VPN allows you to change your location on your computer/smartphone and set it somewhere else.

However, free VPNs don’t usually involve military-grade encryption, unlike paid VPNs. Furthermore, your personal information – i.e., your browsing data – will likely be sold by the VPN provider for them to make money.

Be aware if you use a free VPN service like Proton VPN, TunnelBear, or, your personal information is likely not secure – even if the VPN provider states it is.

How We Rate Casinos

We rate casinos by their software, licensing jurisdiction, reverse time, payout time, withdrawal limits, whether or not they pay out on weekends, and much more. No one else in the online gambling industry is doing this. Players get a fair deal at Casinomeister.

Here, we’re going to walk you through a number of the factors we look at in more depth, so you know we’re the real deal in writing fair, honest, and impartial online casino reviews.

Reputation and Trustworthiness

Before we start to write any casino review, we begin by looking at the overall trustworthiness and reputation of the site in question. For example, we take a close look at where the site is licensed; do they, for example, hold an online gambling license from a respected regulator like the UKGC or the MGA, or are they operating under a less respected Curacao license?

We also examine the casino owners; do they own and operate any other online casino brands? If so, what kind of reputation have they built around that site, and what are the players saying?

We also look at our experiences here at Casinomeister with the casino. For example, have they generated a large volume of complaints, or have our members reported positive experiences with them?

While no casino can enter our ‘Accredited’ section on reputation alone, it’s one of the first metrics we look at to begin building a picture of how the site functions – and you can rest assured that all of our casino reviews take this into account.

Casino Games Selection

Today, most online casinos work hard to offer players games from as many software providers as possible – but we still hear from new customers who join a site, only to find the range of selected games is less than they’d anticipated.

One reason we look at another core metric when reviewing an online casino is the range of casino games on offer, including everything from classic casino table games to video slots, video poker, instant win games, and more.

Thankfully, most casino sites are actively offering casino games from a large number of software providers – so (generally speaking) gone are the days where you’ll find NetEnt and Microgaming titles on offer.

Still, when it comes to the game variety, we like to follow the ‘more is the better mantra – and this is why we always look at the variety of games on offer at casino sites when writing our reviews and ranking platforms.

Bonuses and Promotions

A deposit bonus is one of the critical things new customers look for when joining a new site – and bonuses and promotions, in general, are incredibly important for attracting new players.

Thankfully, all of the best online casinos offer a generous welcome bonus, but that doesn’t mean we don’t look even more profound and study the actual terms and conditions associated with the said offer.

For example, suppose we see casino sites offering a generous real money first deposit bonus and find that it carries 35X wagering requirements. In that case, that’s a decent bonus, and new players stand a chance of converting the bonus cash into real money.

If, however, we see a site offering deposit bonuses with wagering requirements of 50X, that’s a lot harder for new players to achieve. While these types of deposit bonuses may look attractive on paper, in reality, new customers will often find themselves unable to convert these bonuses into real money.

We also look at some of the more nitty-gritty terms and conditions; for example, if you claim a deposit bonus, you’ll usually find it must be used within a certain period; most casinos state that the wagering requirements must be completed, and bonus funds must be used within 30 days – but some try to get a bit sneaky and state their casino bonuses should be used within as little as 24 hours.

This is one of the reasons why, when writing a casino review, we like to look at things like the wagering requirements andthe terms associated with the bonus funds.

Payout Methods and Speeds

Another core consideration we consider when writing casino reviews and choosing which score to give an online casino is the selection of payment methods on offer.

Today, most online casino sites offer a wide variety of real money banking options – but some go above and beyond, and the best casino platforms will do their best to cater to players from all countries and all jurisdictions, ensuring you can make deposits and withdrawals using the payment method you prefer.

When writing casino reviews, we first look to see which methods the site offers; for example, does the site offer debit and credit cards and EWallets, or do they also allow players to make deposits and withdrawals using instant bank transfers, cryptocurrencies, and country-specific payment options.

In fact, before writing any casino review, we also take care to look at the min deposit/max deposit limits too; most of the best online casinos allow you to deposit from as little as $5, so you don’t need to worry about spending more than you’re comfortable with.

While the banking options offered at online casinos aren’t necessarily a make or break factor when it comes to us determining their score, it is something we take into account – and you’ll notice that all of our casino reviews have a dedicated section where we discuss the banking options at the site.

Customer Support

In today’s fast-paced and competitive online gambling industry, all online casinos must offer customer support 24 hours a day, seven days a week – and when we’re putting our ratings together and when writing our casino reviews, we take great care to look at the customer support facilities on offer.

As a general rule of thumb, we expect all online casinos to offer live chat support as this is now an industry standard and something that all of the best online real money casinos offer.

The significant benefit of live chat is that it enables you to speak with a member of the casino’s customer support team in real-time – ensuring you don’t need to wait around and don’t have to worry about the response times it usually takes for issues raised by email.

Suppose an online casino offers customer support via telephone. In that case, it’s a bonus for us – and we’re even happier if the online casinos can offer toll-free phone support, as this prevents you from needing to worry about spending any money to contact them.

When you read any of the casino reviews here on Casinomeister, you’ll notice that we have an entire section dedicated to discussing the customer support facilities offered at online casinos.

We feel it’s an essential part of the overall service you experience – and without the proper customer support, an otherwise-good online casino can end up in our Grey Zone section.

User Interface & Mobile Casino

Ten years ago, it was common to see online casinos with terrible designs. They were often hard to use, not user-friendly, and incredibly difficult to navigate – especially when using a mobile device.

Thankfully, in today’s online gambling world, most online casinos work pretty hard to make their platform as easy-to-navigate, easy-to-use, and user-friendly as possible – though not all online casino sites are created equal.

In all of the casino reviews here at Casinomeister, you’ll notice we have a dedicated section that covers the user interface and mobile gaming facilities. In the former, we look at how easy it is to use the casino, whether signing up is simple, whether you can find your favorite games easily and quickly, and how well-made the site is.

We then look at how the online casino performs on mobile devices; we always try to use a mobile phone and a tablet. This allows us to get a better idea of how everything works.

Bonus points if a site has a downloadable casino app. While this is usually reserved for the more prominent online casinos, some of the smaller sites are starting to develop their apps – and if a site does have an app, we test it out thoroughly to see how it’s running and performing.

KYC Checks

Know Your Customer (KYC) checks have become increasingly common in the last few years at many online casino sites. Many online gambling regulators have started to require casinos to carry out these checks – and, while they’re always a pain, it’s important to remember that it’s not the casinos choosing to do this; it’s their regulators.

Whenever writing casino reviews, we get an idea of how an online casino deals with KYC checks. For example, do they process your documents quickly and efficiently, or does the process drag out, often taking days – or weeks – to complete?

The faster a casino can process your documents, the better – and we also look to ensure that sites aren’t simply requesting KYC checks when it comes to you making a withdrawal. This, we feel, is unethical, and it’s yet another factor that we take into account when reviewing and rating an online casino.

Responsible Gambling Facilities

Today, more than ever, casinos are taking responsible gambling seriously. You’ll notice that all of our online casino reviews have a dedicated section covering the responsible gambling facilities available to players.

While virtually every online casino allows players to opt into a self-exclusion agreement, this is the minimum a site should offer

Instead, we like to see a casino allowing players to set deposit limits, loss limits, wager limits, session time limits – and reality checks.

While many online casino sites are required to offer all of these tools to players by law, a lot aren’t – so we always look at whether an online casino is willing to do so.

We also look closely at whether or not a site allows you to set these limits by yourself or whether you need to contact a customer support team member to set them up.

Online Casino Reviews: Free Spins

While we’ve already talked briefly about bonuses, wagering requirements, and 1st deposit offer, we also wanted to discuss free spins.

Here at Casinomeister, we’re big advocates of free spins; it’s a great way for casinos to show players they’re happy to offer promos and bonuses, and for new customers, it’s yet another type of welcome bonus – and indeed, ongoing bonus – you can enjoy when playing at the site.

Thankfully, many of the best online sites offer a range of free spins offers – many of which form part of their main welcome bonus – and we always look at the value of the free spins, which games the free spins can be used on, and what wagering requirements are attached to winnings from the free spins.

While a lack of a free spins promotion won’t result in a casino losing points, it is something we take into account – and a casino with an incredible array of free spins promotions is more likely to have a high score than those that don’t.

You’re potentially handing over sensitive information whenever you play at an online casino. This can include, for example, your credit/debit card information, scans of your ID (for KYC and age verification), and other sensitive, private documents.

Unfortunately, some online casinos still operate without an SSL Certificate – the bare minimum when it comes to online security – and this is why we look at the security of a casino when writing a review.

Of course, it’s impossible to look in the back end and see whether a casino is adhering to best practices. Still, our trained reviewers know a number of the critical signs to look out for – and this ensures that when you play at a site, you know you’re gambling in a safe and secure environment.

Thankfully, many of the world’s foremost online gambling regulators have stringent rules and regulations regarding protecting players’ information and data – this is yet another reason why we strongly advise you to play at licensed, reputable sites with solid track records.
