When are RIVAL going to fix these BUGS???

First off everyone knows I am a big fan of Rival software, so there is nothing vindictive in this thread.

But myself & others are getting totally fed up with Rival doing 'an MG'; sticking their heads in the sand and just churning out new slots as fast as they can while ignoring all the problems left behind in their wake.

So maybe by bringing all the problems together in one thread we can finally get them to sit up & take notice of their most important people - their customers!

I'm going to try to 'moderate' this thread by keeping an up-to-date list of the problems as others post them. I will also rank the problems into 3 categories:-
Annoying; Little things which really irritate us.
Serious; A bug which seems to have a serious effect on playing fairness or enjoyment.
Show Stopper; Major issues which need urgent attention.

When posting, please put as much detail about the bug as possible, and no derails please!

1. (Annoying) You have no funds, but visit the cashier just to check something (i.e. any bonuses perchance?) and when you exit back to the lobby a pop-up says "Would you like to visit the cashier?". Er... No I fricking wouldn't - I've just been there - D'oh!

2. (Serious) There appears to be a fault in the bonus round of Granny's Attic:-

Hey Petey, did you notice that you are unable to get the key to open a second chest in the feature for the Grandma Attic's slot. I have gone through more than 40 of the bonus rounds without a single key at sloto. It seems there is a glitch in the software but the payouts seem to have included coins gained from other chests (at least it seems so) though you can never get a key to open another chest.

3. (Show Stopper) Travel Bug;
If you win more than about 100x your bet in the free-spins, the 'Continue' (back to the slot) button vanishes! Even the little 'X' top right does nothing and the only way out of the screen is to open your computer's task manager & kill off the whole casino!!!

I am a big fun of Rival 's slots.
I think the main issue is that rival casinos which use pantasia as processor delay payment.
I hope that they can give us a notice, when the problem will be solved.

- Paigow Poker : As recent as 2 days ago, they were unable to get a good grasp of the Joker and it's functions. For the dealer's hand, they mark the Joker(which can count as an ace if it doesnt complete a straight or a flush) together with another card as a loss to the player's hand of an ace and a second card of the same value to the dealer's and treat it as a loss for the dealer for the low hand. This is only shown on the screen though and it is actually regarded as a push. If you are lazy and use the house way to play your cards, you'd better watch out. I had a straight ie 2-6 a Joker and a Jack. It would be obvious that the Joker is placed with the Jack for the Lo hand and the 2-6 straight be counted as the highh hand. Well, the house way prompted the 6 be placed with the Jack and Joker to complete the high hand with 2-5. You get worse ratings on both hands.

This is the one where there is a champagne round, a baby as the wild and three Zeuses? for the free spins. It was only on one occasion but I got the champagne round during free spins but the screen froze and I could not select anything. Logged out and returned but the round was not reinstated although balance was increased by several dollars. Definitely a case of predetermined payouts if you ask me.

- Scary Rich slot : On completion of the Frankenstein free spins, the screen suddenly froze and then showed a spin with the dracula appearing as an expanding wild in the 4th reel. There were no payouts though.


Serious

Grandma Attic's slot. I played this game before more often than not at least you get a key to open a second chest during the Treasure Chest round. However, recently at slot, I played more than 40 of these bonus rounds and didnt get a single key. The payouts suggest that the outcome is again predetermined and that the total coins that should be gained in this round are amassed as one in the first chest. So I dont think they are cheating but that takes away a whole lot of fun doesnt it?

Personally I rarely use 'house way' myself, but if that is available it MUST be to best strategy.

Slots; The first one is Reel Party.
Those first two bugs sound like one-offs. Unless they reoccur I will ignore them for the time being.

As for the payment delays, these have all been resolved and we are back to our normal payout time of ~48 hrs or less. Of course if documents are required this will take a little longer for verification but this will only be for a first time cashout. I am obviously just speaking on behalf of Simon Says Casino.

Yeah I totally agree!
Pop ups on websites saying "Do you want to download now" are annoying enough, but these pop-ups during Rival free-play are even worse!
Makes them look like some cheap clip-joint desperate to get deposits, not a responsible gaming provider who's quality games speak for themselves and who's customers are quite capable of making their own minds up if they want to deposit or not, and when.

So now we have:

You're right, it's not a bug and we do all know why the casinos do it.

Don't anyone forget, this is NOT a Rival-bashing thread, we just want them to make their software & games better for the players. Ultimately this will benefit Rival themselves as well because their customers will be happier!

Annoying: I think there needs to be a delay between the 5th reel landing and the "You have won 10 free spins" message appearing.

On Scary Rich I get this message a fraction of a second before the 5 reel even stops spinning. It's no big deal but I think it does take away from the fun of playing slots.

It's just Annoying.
The only gripe I have is sometimes when you spin the reels it just spins,spins,spins until you get that error pop up.
I will look more in other Annoying things as I go.

Yeah great... but when is something actually going to be done about it?
Do you think we have any chance of getting any sort of response from the software team?
If so, when?

BTW another 'minor error' on the new slot; 2 of the symbols in the pay table are the wrong way around!
Payouts should get higher as you read left to right; the 3 of a kind does, but the 4 & 5 of a kinds don't.
I have never seen a win pattern like this on any other slot, so my guess is it's a mistake:-

I have received a message from them yesterday saying that they have added all of these to their bug list and that they will be worked on asap. I expect next week for some of them to be solved. The next update that goes out will more than likely have most of these fixed. Like I said earlier, I received a very positive response from them and they are taking this VERY seriously.

When your money or bonus goes, that too dissapears after a few minutes. Personally im glad it stays there while im still playing because by clicking on the bonus you have already taken it informs you whether or not you have completed the wagering requirements.

OK, now I have witnessed a bizarre bug on Reel Party too!
Started playing it last night (Superior Casino) and right from the off the reels were spinning in a very strange way. After 3 or 4 spins, the graphic of reels 4 & 5 just kept spinning permanently, but the sounds carried on as normal; i.e. I could hear the reels 'stop' and any wins were paid. A bit later reel 3 started doing the same thing!

Took this shot after getting awarded the free-spins - we all know the reels should be static at this point, but as you can see reel 4 & 5 just keep going, and going, and going...

Ive received a small update from Tech. Support. I will outline below.


(Serious) There appears to be a fault in the bonus round of Granny's Attic (no keys).

Yes, you are correct. This is an error, however the actual payout of the bonus round is not affected. This error occurred when the software was updated with the new version. Since the bonus round is pre-determined you would just receive the full payout in the first chest that you picked instead of it being spread out among different chests.

This will be fixed.

(Show Stopper) Travel Bug; Freezes if you win > 100x your bet in the free-spins. (Sometimes < x100 too).

They are aware and will fix.

(Annoying) Autoplay; Recent change: You can't use autoplay in fun mode... Why the hell not???

This was added recently because there are too many people that come in and play autoplay in free mode. It bogs down the servers. This feature becomes very helpful when a new game is released because many people will just set it on autoplay and wait for the bonus round to appear so they can check it out.

They will make this happen less often, however, they will not get rid of it entirely.

(Serious?); There appears to be an error in the Cosmic Quest paytable (prizes not linear).

This isnt really an error its just an odd case that we havent really had before in a paytable. It is listed in increasing order of the '3' icons but the '4' and '5' icons it is decreasing.

All other serious issues are in priority and are being worked on as we speak. Most minor issues will be fixed but they will be done when time allows.

I will update with more information when I receive it.

Thanks for the update. You mentioned that bonus round in Granny's Attic is pre-determined. Is this also true for the bonus rounds in other slots like Hobo's Hoard, Atomic Age or Party Reels? I recall that it states that there are different values attached to each pick. If they are pre-determined as you say maybe these statements should be erased.

On the autoplay feature, is it possible to provide real players(those that have deposited) with this option so that they can test new slots before actually trying them out in real mode. So you actually choose which players can use autoplay in free mode and hopefully takes some of the pressure off the servers.

What about free spins, are the results of all the free spins pre-determined as soon as the feature is triggered. This would not be a good idea as it would mean that the outcome of such a bonus round could never be naturally random, and would be treated with great suspicion by players.
Another important question is whether the slots themselves are indeed naturally random, or merely a representation of the result of an underlying game of, say, keno, played on the server to determine how much is to be displayed as the amount won.

Update: Played at a Rival casino just now (Granny's Attic). The good news is that you are now able to get keys to open other chests. The bad news; Wait for it. They have altered the payouts. Previously 2 scatters paid but they have adjuted the payout and now only 3 scatters pay. Then I am certain that if you get 3 Blue Crowns? you get a payout of 50 coins but you only get 25 now. I cannot recall the others but in my view this is most unethical to alter the payouts and prey on unsuspecting customers. What the heck is wrong with Rival?

Kendra may wish to look into this and provide some explanations if possible.

If this is correct, this is the 3rd time that I know of they have changed the payouts. I don't think this is right at all. When a game comes out, payouts should remain the same. Period. Most people won't notice it but if you play alot you know what each game pays.

I use to be Rivals biggest supporter but not now. I still play at Slotocash because I like the games and they are the only ones that still pay fast but I have cut way down, way down.

I, like all the rest of you, don't like losing. But what I don't like worse than that is when I get played for a dummy and that's what it feels like when they keep lowering the payouts and really think no one will notice or care.

Do RTG or MG casinos change payouts on games? Just a curiousity question.

Same here Annie. I also play at Sloto now. Fast payouts and a free tenner nearly always follows a deposit. Cashed out on the bonus more often than not. Several hours ago, cashed out $70 from a free $10.

I dont blame Sloto for the payouts because Rival is the culprit. The 2 scatters were too noticeable as you dont get the sounds associated with them when they pay so I checked the payout structure. I really do think it is unethical to change payouts of old games without any warnings or notices.

Hi i was playing ocean treasure the other day was about $700 down mix off bonus, winnings, and a couple off cash deposits.

Then i hit up my last cash deposit and noticed that there was more than 15 lines on this slot so i chose 20 lines pressed play and the game locked up due to it being a 15 line slot, well well no bonus round for me kinda sucked.

Hi everyone,

Yes, the Grandma's Attic Bonus round has been fixed. As I mentioned earlier, the actual payout of the bonus round was never affected but the win amounts are now seperated among different chests.

Regarding the changed paytable. I sent an email to the technical department after reading the post. They've advised me that from time to time they like to re-evalulate the playability of the slot machines and that sometimes they feel they should modify the payout structure in order to create a better experience for the players. However, they have only done this for some of the older slots because those were the ones that were lacking in game play. None of the changes that were made to any of the slot machines reduce the overall return of the slot machine, it is strictly for playability. They do not do this very often. I've asked them to please send an email out to the support team if they do any more changes like this so that players can be notified.

I apologize that the players were not notified. If there is a next time there will be better communication to the players.

The only way Rival or any casino will "get their act together" will be when players stop depositing en masse (as a whole) and let them feel the pain in THEIR pocketbooks for a change on no new money coming into their hands..

What an idea...it just hit me as I was typing..!!!

Choose a casino (group) and show how powerful players can be and how important we are to their bottom line and if they listen...they will keep us depositing...if not...ban them from our list of casino to be played at for real for a certain period of time as a "whole" (the players) until they do feel the "pinch" and start listening...they will know real quick who the real important people are and it is NOT the casino...for they do not make money unless we as players choose to deposit...

etc etc...
