Just wanted to mention that RTG operators cannot change the RTP of a game.

Honestly, do we need another RTG/RTP thread? Please say it ain't so.

As there are is usually always more numbers to decide from then positions on the reels, each position on the reel has more then one number assigned to it. This means that the machines can be changed by changing the numbers that are assigned to each position on the reel. This is the only way that operators can control the way that the machines work.

You tend to get two types of slot machines.

The old days, land-based slots used to have physical reels. Obviously this put a massive restriction on your reel length (as they would have to physically get bigger in order to accommodate more symbols). The solution to this problem was to weight each position on the reel. Thus you might over have one of each symbol on the physical reel, but the low symbols were weighted more and thus would appear more. But I'm sure you know this.

When slots moved over to online/computer versions they were initially designed in the same manner. This was for no other reason than "that's the way slots worked". And yes, they worked exactly as you described above and a lot of old three reel slots will still work like that.

Eventually however it was realised that due to the fact that reel lengths are no longer restricted by physical reels, there is no reason to weight symbols and instead you could simply add more of that symbol onto the reel. Generally this is how video slots function these days.

When looking for material on how they function, you'll want to search for "video slots" instead of just "slots". Most 5 reel slots are video slots, which differentiates them from the old weighted reel slots.

Online casinos have been rigged in the past, that's a fact. But that is not the case with the subject of this thread which supposedly has to do with Jackpot Capital.

If you want to talk about greed, what about players? People do a lot of crazy things, like signing up in a forum again and again and again after being banned numerous times for flaming and committing player fraud. And how is player fraud NOT connected with GREED?

The method by which RTG make changes to RTP was outlined in detail by Dogboy, and his credentials are that he works for a company that designs these games for RTG. Each game is designed with three different reel sets, and pick bonus features have different probabilty tables. When RTP is changed by RTG on behalf of a casino (reference, Bryan and Simmo, who got their information from RTG and operators prepared to share this with them), it is a matter of selecting one of 3 RTP options. It is not a case of them thinking up a number and typing it in.

Some of the reelstrips are VERY long, and the key symbol to get a bonus round could be one of a hundred on that particular reel.

As these are video slots, each reel strip does not necessarily have the same number of symbols, and is not constrained by it having to fit inside a physical slot cabinet.

Each symbol, or "stop" has an equal probabilty of being the one selected. Clever spacing of symbols, and variations in number between adjoining reels, is what gives some games their "weird" behaviour that can look very much as though the game is "rigged".
