That is very diligent of you to monitor your every transaction! I gave up doing so at the beginning of last year when I decided to stop scattering my deposits about like a machine gunner with Parkinsons.
Since I did stop depositing so widely I found my fortunes change dramatically and last years deposits funded my income by many thousands.

Hmmmm, I feel a bit of bank statement downloading and spreadsheet compiling a bit later today! I think I made a profit over the year, but will wait and see.

It wasn't until the other day when actually looking at my bank statement that I realized "whoopsie".

So many small deposits clumped together. When added up it didn't read 'profit', that much is certain

Absolutely no way am I up for the year, but a conservative estimate would put me two grand down :cool:

I didn't do bad in 2016 but I was aware that small deposits at very many casino's made a negative impact on my overall performance. I was too willing to try new casino's and to deposit at casino's that I knew would never become a go too casino. That didn't mean that I never tried anywhere new or that I didn't ever make the occasional deposit. I was just way too random before.
This often left me thinking " No way will I get anything from depositing at this regular casino because I owe them" yet I continued doing well. Plus I honestly think that knowing when to stop has helped too. These days I often go days without depositing at all where as before I could deposit at a number of sites in a day.
I'm just learning what is best for me with my budgets and my outlook is that its not how much I can win but how little I lose

I do find I feel a lot happier when not depositing for days on end. I've narrowed my play down to one or two casinos but am finding the regular games of 'years gone by' to play a lot worse. It's not my imagination! This in turn leads to lots of small deposits, because I am not getting any value for money like I used to, fact.
Perhaps a change in software is in order, although truth be told I'll be looking to keep my deposits small for 2018, NY resolutions and all that. Plus I'm getting sick of being fleeced, apparently the only sucker round here who never wins whilst everyone and their dog has amazing winning streaks.

Bzzt I don't think so!

I don't even want to know, 2017 wasn't the greatest for me and 2018 has started horrendous, getting no enjoyment as my deposits are gone in a flash - and goatwack you are not the only 'sucker' around here, I just never have a run of good luck, one win and bang everything turns cold for months. Had enough, need a break.

It works the exact opposite for me, I find I do better spreading it about even though VS is my most go to Casino, Well except for this month.
Since I have started this online gaming lark many years ago, I am not in minus figures.
I havent been in minus figures in any year, but I am a low roller who can make a small deposit last a few days sometimes.
I wouldnt dare high roll as it could all go tits up then, and I dont think I would enjoy it as much either.
The times low rolling has saved me when I have been down to last couple of quid.
Once I was down to 41p and got bonus on Playboy, ended up withdrawing £600

I can't regret depositing and joining so many casino's in my first few years of online gambling because it meant that last year especially I took advantage of so many freebies from those sites that I no longer deposit at and took out so many withdrawals. Last year these giveaways must have added many hundreds of pounds to my balance.
If this is replicated across the board with other gamblers then I can see why casino's are getting tighter

Sounds all to familiar. I know trancemonkey(and others)are always defending the honesty and Integrity in pretty much everything that surrounds casinos. That is the way they see it and that's fine. The thing is I see it differently.I have a few angles on this but this is 1 that I don't think is far away. The most important thing if I owned a casino is customer base(without them I can't make any money). What can I do to ensure I keep their custom?Hope they have a few nice wins when they join up.Actually why hope when I can make sure they have some. You have to think outside the box the technology we are dealing with here is so high tech it's capable of a lot of things we don't think about. The second you join a casino everything about your active playing time will be recorded in your data base. These statistics will be used to determine your path as you go through your journey(There will be a tried and trusted method that crunches all your numbers up that tells the system the best chance of keeping you)How can they keep you initially that's easy inflate your play for the first month so your having lots of play from your first deposit completing wagering requirments and withdrawing a nice amount at the end of it.Who wouldn't come back for a bit more of that?Sooner or later it all changes and you can't believe you had all that luck and now it's gone.Thing is it wasn't luck to start with it was manipulation. How many of us had what appeared to be an amazing run 1st time we deposited somewhere?1st casino I joined I couldn't fail with Gonzo's Quest every time I logged in within 10 to 50 spins bonus round would come up.Played the same site last night waited forever and a day for the bonus and it paid X1 what a joke!I apologise in advance for the way some of it is worded I don't know the correct terms for some of the things I am trying to explain but you get the gist of it hopefully.

Ol' Trance is top-notch and has done everything in good humour. He's given an insight that we haven't had before, even if we don't always agree with it :D

    As for others, well.......:p

Anyways, I noticed a few sessions into slotting that something was amiss, as though the games were too 'loose', as they say. I don't think it's coincidence that slots play well initially....as if to get you hooked perhaps? It's the oldest and most obvious trick in the book surely....

Yes and unless your super cynical like me who would question why they were winning.Surely we only question when we are losing.I know that I had in the region of 20 sessions when I signed up to 3 casinos where the hitting bonus rounds was that frequent on whatever game I played and within a few spins they were revealing all the other features within the game that I seriously looked for a crap game to bring me back to reality.I Litterally had more luck in 6 weeks than I had in the last 10 years put together.Thats not coincidence.

I have sometimes taken the opposite view after making my first deposit at a casino then ended up with a very healthy withdrawal. Because I have invested so little for a rich reward I have took the view that they will now want it back so I stay clear.
If we look at the permutations involved with some number crunching app which will work out the best chances of obtaining your cash long term then your history can be your liability too- There are many casino's with sister sites who would also have the same data. If your game play is of the hit,run then don't go back variety then my guess is that their sister sites will simply fleece you without a second thought.
I am no big fan of these sites with endless amounts of sister sites for these sorts of reasons

Couldn't agree more that's pretty much what I was trying to say probably didn't word it that well. Here is another thing these sister sites or companies under the same umbrella will hold your data but they don't stop you joining when you unwittingly join up not realising they are connected no no they only tell you when you have had a big win that you have breached some rule somewhere.

For future reference you can find what other casino's are associated with the one you are logged into by simply clicking on the UKGC logo at the bottom of the home page. That will open a new page which lists all related casino's to that casino.
If I can't find the UKGC link,or the link does not work correctly by giving that data then I will simply not use the casino

I joined many casinos the first time around, and I failed to make any withdraws, so you saying that 1st deposit works wonders is not really true, odds are against you as always.

I've had many good wins, but most of them has not been the 1st deposit with the casino.

Yes it hasn't happened to me personally but I see a lot of posts where people have fallen foul of this type of thing.Another thing that I think casinos should be made to declare when they send these never ending emails offering free spins with your next deposit is how at what stake those free spins will be at.Invariably they are at 10p i.e deposit £30 get 30 free spins. It sounds good but ask yourself 1 thing how much are you likely to gain from that it's really just a 10% bonus after all said and done.Just a way of getting you to log in hoping once you have done so you will deposit anyway.
