Yeah!! love Springsteen

All great ones (from our generation anyway LOL!)

This one is a great classic for me - I wonder how many more classics he would have turned out...

I was going to upload one of my songs in mp3, but they're all too big... so there's this poem:

THERE IS DARKNESS ON YOUR LANTERN, by Richard Brautigan as read by a Lerner and Housby computer voice.

THERE IS DARKNESS ON YOUR LANTERN
There is darkness on your lantern
and pumpkins in your wind.
and Oh, they clutter up your mind
with their senseless bumping
while your heart is like a sea gull
frozen into a long distance telephone
call.

Id like to take the darkness
off your lantern and change the pumpkins
into sky fields of ordered comets
and disconnect the refrigerator telephone
that frightens your heart into standing
still.

:) Thanks LoJo - lovely poem. We have so many more things now to disconnect from...

Brautigan's the chid:thumbsup:

A trout-colored wind blows
through my eyes, through my fingers,
and I remember how the trout
used to hide from the dinosaurs
when they came to drink at the river.
The trout hid in subways, castles,
and automobiles. They waited patiently for the dinosaurs to go away.

But I haven't synesized that one yet.

I'll try to get some of my original music compressed enough to post or post it elsewhere with a link...

Again, anyone want to enable itunes file sharing? I'd have to break my album list up to post because it is too large of a text file to attach.

Here's one that every self-respecting MG slots player should listen to:-

AC/DC Thunderstruck

Note the truly awesome Angus Young playing guitar with one hand!
(I saw this band live, twice mind-blowing!!!)
Warning you must turn up your speakers to FULL volume!

Aside for that, when I'm playing I like to listen to things to take my mind off gambling, so have a little compilation I knocked up for this exact purpose:-

Abba The Winner Takes it All
Queen I Want it All (and I want it now!)
Whitesnake Queen of Hearts
Abba Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (Tennis_balls after midnight)
Ned Miller From a Jack to a King
Motorhead The Ace of Spades
David Bowie Diamond Dogs
Steve Miller Band The Joker
Kylie I Should be so Lucky.
Go West King of Wishful Thinking!
Abba Money, Money, Money.
AC/DC The Jack
The (other) King Viva Las Vegas!
KC & the Sunshine Band Queen of Clubs
Rolling Stones Casino Boogie
Hot Chocolate Everyones a Winner (baby)
Status Quo Lazy Poker Blues
Eric Clapton Little Queen of Spades
Adicts - Joker in the Pack
Generation X King Rocker
Queen Killer Queen
The White Stripes BlackJack Davey
Deep Purple Lady Double Dealer
Bon Jovi Roulette
ABC A King without a Crown

m.i.a.'s new album came out last month. it's pretty bumpin, but i don't think it's as good as the previous ones. waiting patiently for lady sovereign's next one to drop, she da shit!

and ftr, i hate zep! :p

I'm rather impartial to dislexic pez dispensors myself... But steel blimp, I like! The one band I loathe to hear now is U2, I just listened to Joshua Tree ten thousand times too many I guess.

Ich bin listening to a lot of Kraftwerk music. The Robots are a hoot! I heard of them a looong time ago, being originally from the Detroit area. But only now, thanks to YouTube and the internet, I finally find out what they sound like. They were the biggest influencer's of the early Detroit electronic/techno/rave music.
