Oh on this we completely are in agreement. The 1970’s what a decade! We are about to return to it.This winter is going to be brutal, when people start getting cold and hungry, civil disorder is not very far away.
they got nothing prove 70% of parliament are foreigners is not many real Brits left in parliament, soon you see some Nigeria dud UK PM,same time he will send scam emails Prince died we need to transfer $100000000Has Rishi even done a big tory conference speech, passed me by if he has. I think the members might choose him to prove they're not racist, plus Truss comes across as though she's not plugged in, winging it far too much.
Rishi's explanation re his wife's tax situation is not acceptable and she's received lockdown handouts for some of her failing businesses [something like that] not good optics. So either way we, or conservatives, are *****d.
Bring back Boris I say, for all his faults he's better than these two put together.
Well let's see how that pans out....
Cutting taxes means bugger all to a lot of people, and it won't help them one jot with the appalling crisis that is going to descend on the UK this winter.

Hmmmph....my Morrisons Blue Slime ice lollies boxes of 5 have gone from £1 to £1.20, as have the bubblegum ones. The only saving is if I buy 3 boxes, whereupon the price is £3.25 IIRC. I use Daz as it's nice to have my name in the kitchen always, and I have to say the price has been fixed at £8 for the 5200g box for nearly 2 years where I shop. The only crisis is the manufactured one foisted unto unsuspecting populations, if going by food prices alone - lest we talk about the world's worst-kept secret of how many tonnes of food are destroyed daily to control prices.
Or how energy companies are busting a cap in caps because they can, as politicians meekly watch on. And what was the point of their presence at Downing St, other than to gloat at their record quarterly profits? Pardon me if I don't do leaps of joy at politicians' apathy and pledges to 'freeze' supposed price caps that slide around more than Torvill & Dean.
Much like this 'Cost of Living Crisis' brought about by the Media's drumming up yet another alarmist, doomsday scenario to keep people in constant fear. So what happens? Well, companies seize this opportunity to take the piss of course!
So up go the prices, much like earlier, when upon returning from my pseudo- gym workout, I scoured the Tesco Direct shelves for the ever-reliable £5 Daz washing powder, only to have to do a double-take as the price now read '£5.05'. No great shakes you might say, but an obvious, cynical price-hike without merit. What, has the price of phosphonates risen in the last few days? Zeolites? Wankers
Short of griefing the till lady, who'd seemingly already got jip from the customer before me, I chose to forego the pleasure and vowed to direct my ire at the politicians that choose to let everyone run amok, and so laugh at their condescending attempts to quell discontent with promises of 'freezing' caps.
Anyone still of the belief that any one of those goons in Westminster are here to help ordinary people out, and lead them out of this situation we're facing, should consider giving their head a wobble
More fool me for making a political prediction, but I think that if Truss wins the leadership election (which she almost certainly will), the Tories will lose the next general election.
Do you believe if Rishi were to win instead the tories would succeed at the next GE?
I agree re the raw sewage issue, this is the modern tories weakest aspect when they kowtow to shareholder interests and appear to have an indifference to anything other than bottomline profit.
Decent support for the strikers
Apart from the fact that this isn't he 1970s anymore, most can see their demands as unreasonable and greedy, and given many people's financial standing currently, relatively privileged. Nor are people as resentful or as inconvenienced as one might think, with many having adapted to WFH and even grateful for saving on the travel expenditure.
The only ones thinking their deployment has any real bearing in 2022 are Corbyn acolytes like Long-Bailey who still think flares rule the roost and ordinary workers cower at the sight on Union officials and their grandstanding , blackmailing methods. But yes, down with the fat cats! Raa!!
Unless what was being inferred had actually been the merits of using a 4-4-2 as opposed to a single striker, and whether Aguero had been getting the service a player of his calibre warranted, when compared to say Shearer, or whether the likes of Tevez were overrated. In which case, my bad
Lower tax still means a lot in the uk, we're not sweden or denmark happy to trust the govt will and can spend the money well and provide top services in return.
But also 'no nonsense conservatism' is the 2nd part of the Vulcan's message.
So here are some numbers on the tax cut plans, what Truss is proposing will put one pound - (yes, one single pound) - back into lower income households, whereas the better off will be getting about £30 per week.

These numbers are coming from the Tories, by the way. (Yes from Sunak's side, it's true to say, but the fact remains that Truss is peddling dangerous inflationary nonsense here.)
Labour's plans would save every household thousands of pounds.
