Before that goal from Palmer I turned it off. I am finding it very difficult now to carry on watching. Spain is the better team by far and they deserve the win to be totally honest.

No his P45 awaits. And a job coaching the under 16's Sheffield United girls squad.... hahaSo I take it a knighthood upgrade and six-year contract extension beckons for Southgate?
Thought Adam Johnson wanted that job.No his P45 awaits. And a job coaching the under 16's Sheffield United girls squad.... haha
You....didn't think they'd stop that song, even if England win tournaments, did you?The person that wrote "Its coming home" breathes a sigh of relief as his royalties will keep flowing in for at least another 2 years

It would have been a travesty if England won, Spain having done the heavy lifting and knocked out Germany and France for us. If England had spawned a win last night after equalizing, like they did against Holland, I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face due to embarrassment. You couldn't beat them because you've not faced anyone decent yet. If every games either way to easy/lucky thats no preparation for a juggernaut like the Spanish. Well deserved in my opinion. Spain have dominated this tournament and won games convincingly, England only just beat Slovakia could and should have been over there and then.
No problem, just needs to alter the image to a stacked burger, and amend the 'W' to a 'D' for a reflection of the dietary preferences of the England fans in Germany. It's already been said that Spain vs Germany should've been the Final and effectively was the Final with the quality on display. No other game even came close, and it was a travesty that it had to be played out so early.
It'd be like Argentina facing Brazil in the Second Round of a World Cup. The seeding system and ball-pickers for these draws are becoming more suspect with each passing tournament.
Still, lending further credence to Lewis Capaldi's observation that your base England supporter is a knuckle-dragger, here we have dipshit extraordinaire Dan Thomas with his latest ink:

Mouthgate is the Joe Biden of international football managers. This is a trite thing to say, but swap managers and we would've been home and hosed.
Gareth won't even pick his best 11!
Congratulations to Spain, they deserved to win it.
The one thing GS has done is build up our ability to cope with ongoing disappointment.
I am bit concerned the FA blazers will feel obligated to keep him, such is their lack of ambition and verve.
In Dan's defence, he does live in Swindon. Have you ever been to Swindon? If not, keep it that wayIt's already been said that Spain vs Germany should've been the Final and effectively was the Final with the quality on display. Forget about "feeling obligated" Mack, the FA DESPERATELY WANT to keep him. Why?This is a trite thing to say, but swap managers and we would've been home and hosed.

With his club managerial record, the FA could have offered Southgate half that.100K a week! This must be some sort of sick joke played on the long suffering England fan
I suppose the FA blazers think, in their port addled minds, that this prevents a top club side poaching him from under their nose![]()
