Tropicalgardencasino.com - WARNING

Dirk's post is a long read but factual and informative, and it unfortunately indicates that this is not a casino to be trusted imo. It has already appeared in Casino Cautions, and I feel another exposure for it coming on.

It's registered in Guatamala under Tropical Garden Sociedad, so that rules out any sort of jurisdictional assistance. It's also Chartwell Te ch powered, and they are notorious for having a "hands off" attitude when it comes to player-casino disputes. The new (ish) CEO Lee Richardson is based in the UK and might intervene - he seemed like a professional sort of exec when the 'Meister and I met him recently.

The Chartwell involvement raises an interesting point. Chartwell has a Europe oriented business development strategy and they are working with Alderney, I understand. Would Alderney intercede in a dispute with a Chartwell casin registered in Guatamala. I doubt it.

Good luck, Dirk - let's hope the 'Meister can stop these creeps giving you the runaround and get you paid.

Cheers guys - lets hope something can be done

On another note I have noticed Chartwell are a member of iGGBA - that is if that actually means anything.

What is iGGBA?

iGGBA the Interactive Gaming Gambling and Betting Association is the trade association for operators, technology companies, suppliers of services and other parties directly involved in the I-Gaming industry.

Officially founded in January 2002, iGGBA was created to address the unique legislative, regulatory and commercial opportunities and concerns of the I-Gaming industry.

iGGBA aims to provide reassurance to playing customers of the probity and trustworthiness of its members, and also to represent the trade, particularly in the formulation and maintenance of formal regulation. iGGBA is recognised by the Gaming Board of Great Britain as well as GAMCARE, the UK social responsibility group.

iGGBA have this year been pumping out press releases on their lobbying activities with the British government and the new members they have signed up - they have about fifty companies now, including Gambling Federation which is the most recent, I think.

They don't seem to have any practical and physical inspection and enforcement regime regarding online casino operations that I can see - it's more a code of conduct, and presumably members can be expelled if they trangress that.

I doubt that it would be worthwhile emailing them on the grounds that this Tropical Garden outfit is powered by one of their members. Their interest is probably more focused on creating the best legislative environment for their member companies in the UK and Europe.

This is mainly a trade association, and as far as I am aware they do not offer a player dispute service...in fact when I attended a recent panel discussion in which they were involved I don't believe I heard the phrase "player protection" once.

Although they have now paid me my deposit and winnings, they did not pay me my bonus and have yet to reply to a single one of my emails.

I completed the wagering requirement on standard blackjack so their spurious arguement in Dirk's case is irrelevant, I assume this is why they haven't even discussed it with me.

Pitch a bitch.

And then keep this thread bumped.

The only thing players can do is to band together when these things happen, fan it to the other message boards and then keep it bumped - forever if necesssary.

I am very interested in a player organazation that would operate just to do that.

Stanford.
