The Dude - Bryan aka Casinomeister

Some of you may be aware that Bryan last year was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Well yesterday morning he underwent surgery and I am happy to say all is good. He is sore and tired but through the other side.

He asked me to let the forum membership know the news.
I hope he gets better soon and gets the all clear. Sorry to hear about this but glad he is OK.

Oh man I did not know this, and I was chatting all the time wishing good luck. Thanks for letting us know, especially we new ones who only joined in last month or so.

Send our best, and let him know we're all kicking butt in 2025 for him!

Hi all!

Thanks for the get well messages. I've been pretty much out if it since Tuesday, but like Dave said surgery went well, and I'm on the road to recovery. It'll be a few weeks before I know I'm cancer-free, but I'm in a top notch clinic that specialises in this surgery, and will be going to a cancer rehab for several weeks as well.

I can't underscore the importance for guys to get their PSA checked on a regular basis. Up to the day of surgery, I showed no symptoms- nothing at all. No getting up at night to go pee, or anything related. If I had put off getting regular check ups, and acted like most guys seeing a doctor when you think something is broken, it would have been a different story. This cancer is silent - and if you wait it can be too late, you'd never know.

I'm still pretty much wiped out, but i wanted to chime in to say thank you, and to let you know I'll be ok. 👍

Hi all - just an update. I've just returned a couple of days ago from three weeks of cancer rehab, and all is going well. Getting my strength back, and on the road to a full recovery. Taking it slow, but slow and steady wins the race. All good from here.

Thanks all for the kind words and good wishes.

@The Dude Thanks for the update, good to see you here again! Speedy recovery!!!

Great to hear you’re doing well buddy… but Bryan, the question we all want to know is… was it you that took the site down at the weekend? :)

Funnily enough I suggested that a few minutes after it happened, in a chat. :D:D:p
