Hi all,

I'm the new guy. For now at least but there's always someone ready to steal your title.

Been hitting the online casinos for last few months with varying degrees of success. Mostly been a poker player for last few years and wanted a change up. Slot machines definitely have higher potential for a big earn quicker than poker, just need right slot, right bet amount and lines as well the luck of timing.

I've been to dozens of casinos and always start off with a signup bonus and have found that just using their free credit can tell you ENORMOUS amounts of detail about the casino, it employees or online customer service and its software quality.

I've found some great casinos that value their customers and others who ignore your issues and continually ask for a deposit so they can give me a bonus (they're offering this WHILE I'm complaining about my signup bonus not being given.... Idiots).

I'm here to help and I'm here to whine.

I'll see you around!

Put on your glasses and grab a poncho- just in case.

Please can you name and shame / praise?

Welcome to the best gambling forum on the net!

Im building up my own little excel spreadsheet with where ive been and what it was like, did they honor promos and all that. Id begun it a day or 2 before i found casinomeister.com to keep track of where id been and where i dont want to go back to.
When its a little more detailed ill make sure to upload a copy. It will be interesting to see who has been to same places with same issue or same places with red carpet treatment.
One example ill give is 32 Red. On their site they advertise a $10 for $32 off. Its not an awesome deal but i saw the site was highly recommended by somewhere... If only i could remember where "coughHEREcoughcough"... so thought id give them a go. First off, I had a few issues with the software not working after downloading. I sorted that and registered. Made sure all my details were correct and set the flag in top right to AUS. Before depositing I browsed abit more on a separate tab and noticed the promo changed to $20 dep for $32 bonus.
I questioned a rep about this and he said it "just happens sometimes". We spoke a bit more and I was pushing to get what was advertised since Id nearly paid $10 and would have got nothing but he wouldnt budge.
He then told me the only reason i saw $10 for $32 is because I was on the UK site. That offers on for the UK. I was on a .com page. Then he said it was still in the Ts and Cs. I went and checked and it wasnt, it just said 10 credit for all new member as a sign up bonus.
Basically he had every excuse not to give it out and even fabricated a few. Instead of making a customer who has just signed up and wants the advertised promo, that rep would rather not give a measly $10 "credit" off the "actual" price. That one rep has most likely lost my business for good. Along with their sister website who id been too earlier and was given and got the same offer. I had a small issue which became a larger one after dealing with customer service. I also, while talking to customer service, checked my bank account and noticed id been charged $13.66 instead of $10. Apparently they decide to add the conversion rate on top of the deposited amount without informing you or displaying the input amount and what will actually be charged.
That one infuriated me when i noticed and is the reason I always, ALWAYS try to use a free sign up bonus site- I want to know who im dealing with and what the service is like before they get an actual cent from me...

Not that anyone necessarily doubts a player but we find it best to make a decision on seeing both sides - one of the reasons it's suggested to reach out to the rep. Besides possibly receiving resolution to a problem, the casino can also share their side of the story.

To promotions, they do often change which is why we tell players to read
Ts and Cs, and that it's always a good idea to dble-check with CS about any promotions before depositing. If the promotion changed mid-stream play, you've a viable complaint. If they changed it prior to your deposit, well, the casino can change promos pretty much as they wish.

If you are in Aus and are on the Aus site, playing in Aus, as I see it, they offer $10 free.
I can only hazard somewhere along the way youv'e signed into the wrong domain or currency, as I also don't see where you'd lose conversion fees. I play on the CAD site, using CAD, and if I dep 50, they take 50 and I play with 50.

Anyway, I'd reach out to the rep and see what transpired. He can be found here.> https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/12993/
I've also flagged him to this thread. Gl

Sorry to hear you had issues, I would like to investigate this for you. Can you please PM your username? This sounds like it could be a geotargeting issue on our new site, either way I will get it sorted for you.

Thanks for the heads-up dionysus. :notworthy

Regards,
Mark

Taking the post at face value, there also seems to be an issue with CS. They recognise there has been a problem, but their "won't budge for any reason" attitude can give a bad first impression of the site, and could be expensive in terms of losing potential conversions from the traffic. If you are relying on geo targeting, remember it isn't 100%, and CS need to know this, and how to deal sensitively with issues caused by it's failure.

Aussie laws will be different, but in the UK it's the responsibility of the operator to ensure that failures like this don't cause them to display a misleading advert to a potential customer. The average and honest user has no influence over geo targeting unless they are somewhat less than honest by using an IP address cloaking service to control what country they appear to originate from. Unfortunately, the Dollar is used in many countries, and they are all of different values, so it's far easier for a player to get confused than for a UK player who would be expecting to see UK pounds, and who might suspect they are not seeing the correct site if it's referring to any kind of dollar.

A simpler solution would be to have it 10 for 32 or 20 for 32 across the board, so that irrespective of how the internet behaves, players will still end up with 32 credits for 10 credits or 20 credits.

I would say that 32 extra credits for 10 is actually one of the best offers one is likely to find, it probably doesn't look too good due to the low actual amount, but it's 320%, and this isn't an RTG casino or Pamper casino where one would usually expect to see very high percentage and value bonuses (where the sting is in the terms, and it can be fatal).

If you "downloaded" the casino, problems are inevitable, this is the bug prone Viper client. Unfortunately, browser based casinos are also prone to problems as they rely heavily on the browser being used being bug free and properly configured, and in addition much of the recommended "safe browsing" advice, if followed, can break a browser based online casino site. If anything, one of the WORST browsers turns out to be Internet Explorer, which Microsoft have finally decided to have put out of it's misery with Windows 10.

It would be worth ruling out browser problems by trying the site in a different browser, such as Chrome and/or Firefox. If the problems only occur in one or two browsers, rather than them all, then the issue is likely to be the browser or local machine, rather than the casino server or site.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out and taking an interest in this. While I do greatly appreciate the willingness on your end to help out and get this closed, fixing a geo-location isnt my gripe and wont resolve what got me angry.

My issue is that there was nothing but excuses and avoidance from the 24/7 HELP agents that I have no confidence that if I or anyone else were to have a proper monetary gripe with 32 Red, not just a little dispute over 10 bucks. The amount didnt bother me.. Its $10.. Its knowing that even when you've been presented with UNDENIABLE evidence that we have the facts right and the error is on your end, the result could just well be another case of "Well, that's not what it is, this is what it is and thats all you'll get. Would you like to make that deposit now?."

Regardless of where the advertising was meant to go, it was here to Australia and so our advertising rulse and laws get applied. It was advertised to me and I had the proof of the offer, it should have been hpnpred at that point and the adverts fixed asap or taken down.

And finally, my last comments on this- The time spent wasn't worth it in a way but I was curious to see how long and far the staff were willing to, how stubborn they'd be before the'd eventully realise their wage in time value was worth more than the $10. I dont know how much they get paid but I imagine it cost the casino or them more than it was worth just in time wasted, including yours. Then add the customer whose never going to spend there because of this one issue and its tens, hundreds or thousands?

EDIT: Want to see a transcript of one that happened today thats borderline identical? Check out PAB. Itll be up within about an hour.
