I was wondering what it costs to start a NetEnt casino with or without the progressive jackpots.
NetEnt games seem to be real hot right now and theres alot of NetEnt casinos popping up everywhere which appears like its not as pricey as say a full downloadable microgaming branded casino.
Not asking exact costs just ballpark figures.

The barriers to entry have certainly lowered recently.
Plus the cost of White Labels (the most popular of which gives casinos Microgaming, IGT and Netent) seem to have dropped along with a rise in their quality and features.

That'll explain a lot of it.
The other thing is simply the brand recognition, a few years ago for example very few people in the UK (or outside Scandinavia) were aware of Netent, now they are right up there.

Can't tell you how much it costs but do a search for Netent white labels on Google and you'll find out more and be able to get prices.

You thinking of starting one up?

There are several reasons one of which Netent games are no-download games and which are likely to command less hefty fees. Netent casinos also seem to embrace no-download MG games as well making for a bigger array of games. Most long-time players are getting fed up with MG/RTG whilst many PT and RTG casinos are somewhat rogue. Wagerlogic is going downhill and there are few star-studded casinos using the software so Netent's rise is possibly due to default though I must say there are some games like DOA and Starburst that attracts many players. I wont discount the possibility of yet another software provider stepping in as there is still plenty of room for innovation and Netent, though quite good, is still not the ideal product as yet.

It is possible to get a Download version of the Netent casino. Released in 2010 and premiered at NordicBet.
I haven't seen it anywhere else and personally I really don't see the point of them.

And I just do not understand why Netent is so popular, seeing all the rants about their slots regarding payouts and stuff...
I certainly do hate them and will not touch them unless on the odd day it is a session on DOA hoping for that amazing hit...
Other Netent slots cannot excite me at all,I much more like to play MG,Novomatic and WMS.
Also trying RTG at the moment as I have never played them before.

And I tried to start up a Novomatic branded casino but the investment/costs were unfortunatelly way out of my league.

I don't have any idea what the figure is, but I would imagine it would be pretty low compared to other software providers because from what I've seen they certainly charge their casinos a hefty chunk of their profit for hosting them.

One would also hope they will only grant licences to companies with significant backing and a solid business plan to ensure they can properly run a professional organisation. I would think you would need at least 8-10 full-time staff for starters...?

How about the fact that Net Ent have been rolling out a continuous selection of new games, especially slots. They have got to the stage now where smaller game developers are copying their games. They are also engaging in new deals, like the South Park one, which will only attract new casinos wanting their software.

They have also cracked on with mobile and tablet games, with well optimized slots and table games for these devices.

The rise is down to running a well organized company, which are being innovative and agressive. When they crack making their slots sticky, like Aristicrat's of Novomatic's then they will be a potential market leader in my opinion.

No not necessarily thinking of starting one , just the current surge of NetEnt casinos popping up seems like its become "easy" to get up and running in comparison to other software brands.

I doubt that they grant licenses based on having a significant cash stash coz the one thing I've noticed about the newer upcoming NetEnt casinos is they're very frugal with their customer support allocation. Most almost never have telephone support available and some don't even have live chat or if they do its only between certain hours so they most likely are running a 8-10 person operation.
This is strange to me because the very basis of getting a player to continue playing at your casino is the fact that they can contact your casino and get a response asap if they have an issue.

There are many factors to setting up a casino.

You need a website to show the games and get the players to play, advertising is needed to let people know about it.

You need payment processors to enable you to receive money and pay winnings

You need an agreement with the software suppliers regarding what percentage they get paid.

You will need to be able to pay all winnings, if someone wins £500,000 on the first day you need to pay it, the top suppliers won't sign an agreement without this. (Playtech don't seem to care so they may be a cheap option)

If you take software from more than one supplier you need an in-house accounting system to take care of all account info, this allows you to have one wallet and not have to keep doing chip transfers, it will also keep all play info in one place and allow bonuses to be used on any product. This is probably the biggest hurdle for Casinos that are currently only using one supplier as to properly use multi suppliers they need to combine all info into one place, this isn't cheap.

Customer support staff

IT staff

Accounting staff

Data Centre costs

Office space.

And probably a few other things i didn't think of.

I doubt there is any rise of NetEnt casinos apart from their recent active proliferation in numbers. I personally don't like most of those new casinos. Just look at their bonuses. 60-100x wagering requirements, 5-10 maximum bet allowed , a lot of additional restrictions for bonus players (just look at Betat.eu bonus T&C for example) etc. One has much more chances to win wthout these bonuses than with them. Bad bonuses= bad financing= big chances not to be paid.

Hello

So...
Do you think that it is possible that we can find some rogue casinos with a considered software provider like netent?

Thanks

Well, this warning was just issued about Juegaocho, so there's one NetEnt casino not willing to discuss player issues after several PABs were submitted...

Hi.
With the download casino you don't get constant disconnections, lag and general browser problems .
I get these every time I play a Netent casino.

Just incase someone else was curious,I found some information on the cost of a White Label NetEnt package with Sports Book.

For €250,000 you can , more or less, get an EveryMatrix White label Package which includes the OddsMatrix powered sportsbook, the gaming platform GamMatrix, Casino Engine with 200 games from NetEnt and Play’n Go, the Mobile360 sportsbook and casino solution, and the affiliate management solution PartnerMatrix.

Everymatrix and the iGaming Super Show have announced Jamie Toulson, founder of Grabbit Gaming, as the winner of EveryMatrix's €250,000 giveaway.

The outsourcing services provider, Grabbit Gaming, impressed the judging panel with its ideas, enthusiasm and desire to become an operator supported by EveryMatrix.

The winner is set to receive a complete gaming platform utilising all the products and services of EveryMatrix including the OddsMatrix powered sportsbook, the gaming platform GamMatrix, Casino Engine with 200 games from NetEnt and Play’n Go, the Mobile360 sportsbook and casino solution, and the affiliate management solution PartnerMatrix.

The new platform will be live in 10 weeks under the domain name www[dot]bethereandnow[dot]com.

“We had a hard time deciding the winner of the giveaway, as we received a high number of very compelling applications and business cases. We based our decision on many factors, but Jamie impressed us with his drive and passion for the industry as well as his company’s achievements," said EveryMatrix CEO Ebbe Groes.

"Because of its success, we plan to turn the giveaway into an annual tradition and celebration of i-gaming talent and entrepreneurship."

I always read that URL before as "Be there and now" and thought, what a weird name that is, like someone has put their favourite Oasis album (or the crazy hippy Yogi manual) through Google translate and back again.

I now see that it is "Bet here and now"
Which makes a lot more sense.

That's all , thanks for reading and sorry to waste 30 seconds of your day

Kasino King was the first member here ( that I can recall) who promoted NETENT casino's. He was basically the ONLY one posting screenshots of the slots etc. He used to always post his Jackhammer shots etc. This is going back 5 plus years ago.

LOL I was reading it as Be There and Now also and was also thinking they probably pulled some words out of a hat lol

Yeah, I guess that was probably Casino Euro which I think was one of the first NetEnt's I played.
The software has come a LONG way since then - first producing a load of GREAT slots, and now producing a few great slots along with a fair amount of dross... :(
As one of the software's biggest fans it really pains me to say that - but I have to tell the truth.
To be fair though, I could say the same thing about most of the other major softwares too - so I suppose you have to take the rough with the smooth! ;)

for me it was rainmaker - he always had new games up with pics and descriptions, had release dates and seemed to have all the answers about the games - he got me into NETENT

From a slot's players perspective - they have some of the most addictive, engaging platforms out there.

I love the fact that some of the names are so simple - like "Fruit Shop" or "Flowers" - contrasting with the complexity of the gameplay features and the quality of the graphics. Say you were to find "Fruit Shop" at one of the other online providers - it would be called "Captain McApple-Dash and His Fantastic Fruit Blender of Fun" - The apple would be wearing a pilots outfit with a saucily dressed lemon on his arm - wearing lipstick.

The research/product design people at NetEnt have got it absolutely bang on.

That's not to say they always get it right of course - there are some terrible ones - but they generally have an air of quality about them, along with the high variance idiots like me love.

On an entirely unrelated note - it astonished me how few people can sometimes be employed by an online casino. It was a LOT less than I thought it would be, and in fact a lot less that they portray to the outside world.

Lol, the other day I was talking to live support, and it took over a half hour to get ONE question answered...one basic, simple as pie answer, and the guy took forever. He apologized saying 'his computer was having problems'.
He kept answering completely unrelated info, and just wasn't paying attention. So I said, 'look, you just aren't helpful whatsoever, please just let me talk to someone else.'
So I got the honest answer - er, there isn't anyone else.

So while maybe some casinos have rows of support staff, I'd wager some to several have one guy sitting there with 30 windows open. Same as when told 'finance will get back to you' is the one guy who does the books.

Not always, you'd also no doubt be amazed by how many employees some online casinos have.
It's an odd one.
