Terrible encouragement from Casino Rewards.

I am a pretty regular depositor with CR, but usually at one of two properties. I don't think I have EVER played without a bonus, at least not in past 5 years. Not that long ago i had a chat, and I am really only a couple of grand behind. Before joining CM they were the only casinos I deposited at.

I have on occasion reversed withdrawals, usually only part of one. Sadly, I reversed and reversed and reversed quite a large withdrawal many many years ago, and that series of reversals still sits on my desk as a cautionary tale for me.

I cannot recall being offered a reversal bonus at CR, although I do not read all the mails I get from them.

I might not have as strong an objection as some members to reversal bonuses. If an accredited casino is offering them, let CM know however. My biggest win came from a reversal with a large bonus (not MG casino).

CR does have a longer pending period than many casinos, but no longer than some of the accredited ones here, so some players may welcome a reversal bonus rather than waiting to play again by depositing.

While I get tons and tons of spam from them, I do receive the occasional phone call. As per my request, they only telephone me to inform me when they have added free chips for me. They do usually have a 100% or larger bonus offer for me as well when they call. Get snail mail from time to time as well.

Never have they failed to acknowledge my birthday or Xmas.

While not CM accredited, and I do not make as many deposits as some other casinos, I do trust them to play by their rules, and have never had any significant issue with them. A few years back, they were very slow in crediting bonuses, but that has improved, and I feel the quality of live chat is much better than in the past.

There are weekly withdrawal limits, so high rollers need to be aware of them however.

This doesn't appear to affect VIP players. I got my £12K and £14K in one go after the usual pending period, and my biggest was a £25K withdrawal a while back, all paid in one go.

STILL no ban for me, I must exist in some kind of parallel universe.

MY host told me that I am "well ahead of the casino" (from a mere "ahead of the casino") over the past 6 months, and then set up ANOTHER BONUS on my Lucky Emperor account!!. However, it was only 10%, so maybe I am getting damn close to their tolerance level even for a VIP. The VIP extras were previously around the 20% mark, as low as 15% and as high as 25%, and with the occasional 50% up to £500.

It seems odd given that even loyal players have reported the ban hammer coming down for getting ahead. Maybe I am still down over the "lifetime", but the host is quoting the 6 month stats to put me in a favourable mood for making further deposits. It's hard to tell since many of my accounts with them have come from other now defunct groups, so my records of "lifetime profit/loss" may well differ from theirs.

i have blocked...

Well the calls have started again and emails everyday from them even after as I said above to take me off their list.

most of the casinos used to call me. i am totally against phoneterror. if i feel like i want to play i show up myself and ask for conditions. a casino that calls me gets blacklistet usually. I cant explain how much I hate those ugly stupid pjhonecalls. Spammails with their lies in bonus offers you never can redeem is stupid enough but phonecalls is the try of total intrusion and ha to be stopped by any means.

(and yes i also got that 25% reverse offer - however when reversing and busting i didnt get any bonus - my final decision: goodbye cr and brothers in mind... i will stuck to casinos working in a far fairer way. As I would also do when operating a casino. Never try to take advantage of your client)

Offering reversal bonuses when the player is in the 'euphoric' stage after winning and cashing-out is the lowest of the low. It smacks of desperation and bad ethics. I am so glad these CR compulsive spammers have never had a penny from me. It's psychological, they know exactly what they are doing. Why anyone plays with these shysters is beyond me.

i just didnt know until they did it...

I was introduced to them before i found this forum... and i have learned a lot.

I am sure that old scrappy brigade of microgaming (and playtech who - regarding reversal bonusses are the same moralfree guys) will sink down the rotten sea while the newbies offering business in a fair way will take their market shares and still make their living.

;-) when i was still in charge at my job i worked in a similar sometimes very unethical business and i always refused to adapt any weird practices. That was the reason why I earned a lot more money at the end of the day - without feeling ashame when looking into the mirror.

12 hours after requesting a large withdrawal from CR (48 hour pending period) I have received my first telephone call encouraging me to reverse my withdrawal.

Furthermore, I was told I would receive a email in the final 12 hours "with a special offer" if I reverse. So... I asked for a 7 day cooling off period. Take that Casino Rewards !

Disgusting practice.

Disgusting practice.

Yes it is. I wonder if they have a criteria for e-mailing this stuff out (ie: to people that frequently reverse and lose - or players that are far far far into the red, overall), or if it's a blanket email to anyone that requests a withdrawal?

As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, isn't the CR group licensed in the UK, and if so, don't they have "responsible gaming" guidelines to follow? Surely this practice doesn't fit into those.....

ps: If you haven't came across it, there's another active thread regarding the same subject, but it discusses casinos in general - reversing withdrawals and offering reversal bonuses and all of that good stuff. I'll alert Bryan to these threads and let him decide if a merge is warranted. No sense in continuing 2 different threads about the same subject, unless we want to stick to the CR topic in this one...
