This is Not what I'd want to send my nephew at any age. But what I got when I googled 'birthday nephew' a few minutes ago in search of a cute bday card for my 9 yr. old great nephew. (warning: pretty raunchy)

Most of the sites are legit, although the one pic was "colorful" shall we say?

I use 123Greetings all the time. They have really gotten bad with their advertisements, but they have cards for every occasion you could think of. And they are a safe site. I use it to send my grandkids cards all the time.

I did click on the, ahem, tattooed lady, and I don't recommend anyone else do so. What happens is the picture briefly displays (and again I say, OUCH) and then you're sent to someone's Mevio "Best of Youtube" page, and clicking the back arrow repeatedly just gets the same page over and over.

Get the kid a JC Penny gift card. It's safer.

My nephew is borderline autistic and has the sweetest soul I've ever seen in a child. I just like to send him funny little musical ecards. He loves to sing with them. I'll get a gift when I see him this summer. One year we took a squirt gun for everyone in the family and had a big water fight; he thought that was so cool and then another year we took remote control helicopters (not for everyone) and that was a blast. Not sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults. We're blessed to have him.

A lot of the e-card places are a little iffy to me. I always find extra weird junk on Ad-Aware after sending e-cards. Not all of them...just the ones I pick.

That's some unreal ink... Maybe the silliest tat I could imagine, save for the fact that in college, I lived with an architecture student who had this...

While I admire the quality of design and craftsman ship in the Eames Arm chair, I can't quite imagine living my life with it staring me in the face all day every day... And I imagine her partner might feel the same way. Well, at least a couple times a month anyway...
