I've not seen too many good sci fi movies out this past year or 2 unless theyve slipped under my radar....even googling sci-fi movies mostly pulls up comic book flicks

The Japanese & Koreans do the best horror - fact. I don't think there exists the perfect ultimate horror film, but for psychological shenanigans their output is unrivalled.

They had a purple patch in the early '00s where seemingly every film was good. But for simple starters you need look no further than Ringu or Juon. Dark Water is also good.

Most recent Asian film I'd seen was The Wailing, which was superb

Obviously we have the likes of evil dead, elm st etc.. but above are a few hidden gems for your entertainment

'Society' was playing in the background on the Horror Channel just the other day, a film I'm sure you'd appreciate

Some great, great films already mentioned on this thread.

My all time personal favourite film, and one which I have watched a ridiculous number of times is Groundhog Day with Bill Murray. When I was a lot younger I had the same idea for a book, about someone who wakes up every morning and it’s always the same day. I was really excited when I first saw the trailer, mainly because of the idea but also because Bill Murray is in it. Such a great film.

At number 2 on my list is As Good as it Gets with Jack Nicholson, Greg Kinnear and Helen Hunt. This is another film I have watched a stupid number of times. All three of the main actors are brilliant in it and the all too familiar story of redemption is pulled off masterfully by Jack.

I’m also a huge fan of A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Bicentennial Man, both featuring Robin Williams, but not for that reason. They’re just both ace films.

To round off my top 5, I’ll go with Saving Private Ryan with Tom Hanks. Yet another film I can watch time and time again - and have.

@SteveBr As Good as it Gets is a great feel good movie. Have you seen the bucket list and one flew over the cuckoo's nest? Jack is a great actor.

Yes I’ve seen both of those films and you’re right, he is great in any role. One Flew over would be in my top 10 films actually. Morgan Freeman, who he starred with in Bucket List is in there too with The Shawshank Redemption.

Just watching ‘jaws 2’
I do find this nostalgic and also pretty enjoyable.
The mysterious vibe of the first jaws won’t ever of returned, but it’s a classic for a pre 1980’s sequel.
Love the 70’s and 80’s for movies.
We have had some absolute classics.

im always amazed - and envious - of people who can sleep most anywhere; ive never even fallen asleep in my OWN chair
i need to lie down, i generally run through my brain an hr or two, read, etc
even on a bus/train/plane, i have to sleep in the lotus position, my back on the bottom of the seat, my folded legs n the seat in front of me in a weird l shape > _|
