Just had my first try on this new effort - and I have to agree that after 20-30 spins it's gets as BORING as hell! :(
Though having said that - at least the wilds seem to pop up more frequently than the stars on StarBurst - and after about 200 spins I was £70 up @£1 spins (in fun mode).

I also noticed something very strange about it too: Normally with all the other NetEnt slots I can leave it running on autoplay and go into other windows (tabs on Chrome) and still hear the game playing. But with Sparks I noticed that not only was there was no sound, but the game actually pauses while I'm looking at another tab!

Why on earth would they code it like that??? :what:

This is because the game is written in HTML5, not flash like the older games. Apparently HTML5 requires the window to be active for the game to continue playing. Netent are looking for a way to fix it, hopefully it won't be too long as it bugs me too.

Good info cheers, seems really silly to release a game in HTML 5 while this is the case, it will just alienate and annoy users. Not that anyone cares of course because this is one of the worst net ent slots ever.

Hey sofasurfer do you still work for the same place you used to? I ask because your name is still a fancy colour but your title has been edited out

NetEnt won't be able to fix this unless they want to build there own browser, as Chrome, Safari, FireFox etc all switch off Java Script when the window is out of focus. You'll need to play a Flash game if you want to punt in the background!

I do have a solution though, kick off auto spins in Chrome (or any browser), then if you want to browse etc then launch an alternate browser such as Firefox, Safari or IE, the game will continue to play. It will pause if you go to another window within Chrome (or the browser you launched the game in)it will also pause if you minimise the browser window. Hope that helps :)

I'm sure someone will come up with a better HTML5 slot soon as it seems to be where everything is heading

No need to launch different browsers. Just open separate windows or pull the one with casino out and you can have it auto playing :)

Usually I always enjoy Netent slots. Some a little more than others, but Sparks is absolutely dreadful. How boring can a slot get? Boring graphics, boring sounds, no animations, no bonus feature, no surprise big wins, nothing quite unique. Choose between one way or both ways. Well whoop de doo! I cannot stand this slot and will only play it on free spins. And even then I cannot stand it. Very lazy design and a total disaster.
