They are still rated as 8.8 in the sidebar; if they are new owners, shouldnt they begin anew, rather than resting on the laurels of previous owners and history?

There has been no active rep for some time, there may be a rep but not active, my queries went unanswered, it was easier to give up than waste any more time with this clip joint.

I don't know what active means on this forum, but their last public post on this forum is from 2020. They've been logged in, but never publicly posted after november 2020. I mean maybe active means that they're only answering pm's and don't have to publicly post in here. I don't know, I'm just a newbie here.

Did you send them a pm and they never answered? Then that's not very active is it?

Active is just that, not only replying to PMs but being taking an active part in most conversations, both good or bad, they have by no means been active.
