I've been looking for a place to dip my toe and have a go at some low stakes casino slots and maybe poker. Found this one place that looks ok, anyone heard of it?

If not, has anyone got a suggestion of a secure place to try that does'nt mind micro stake players? I only want to deposit a small test-sum just to see what it's like before commiting any larger amount. (I can only deposit with paypal tho' so this might restrict choice.)
Thanks and gl at the reels

Top casino! Wouldnt be scared depositing anything there.

Thanks uungy.
I always feel better about using online sites if I get first-hand knowledge about them. Anyone else tried Sky Vegas yet?
I noticed that 3dice & 32red seem to be among the most popular here. Are they ok for small stakes players? I only want a bit of fun so don't intend to spend a fortune each visit, but would be a reg player. A decent choice of cheap slots and a micro-stake poker table will keep me happy.

All casinos take low-stakes players if you're talking slots!
Sky Vegas have all the usual WagerWorks games as well as some well-known UK arcade BellFruit, BarCrest, etc "Fruit machines" (the ones that are really random!).
Not the best slots on the net IMHO, but some of them are pretty good.

I was Sky Vegas that prompted me to create my site Arcade Slots Online (link in my signature) - they are owned by Sky TV who supply the whole UK with satellite television - they are about as sound as it gets!

Do they take PayPal though?
I only list 4 places that do on my site, and Sky Vegas isn't one of them.

Good luck!
KK

I can whole heartedly recommend SkyVegas, They are part owned by Novomatic, and have exclusive on alot of the AstraGames range which you can find in the high street arcades here in the UK (ReelKing, Bullion Bars and the 7's game which slips my mind of its name) as well as the B&M favourites from the Gaminator machines, such as Beetlemania, Book of Ra and Columbous.
Only downside is their promotions seem to be rather rubbish, although I did notice last night they were offering a 5 free no deposit bonus.
Wish this one was accredited!

SkyVegas are very good, as are most Wagerworks/IGT casinos. Look for the "Licenced in Alderney" mark on any casino and its a sign they will be good in my experience.

Ladbrokes Casino is a good site to deposit at, you can deposit as low as 5.00 and it was the first casino site i played at, using the no deposit bonus of 20 or 25 - i deposited 5.00 once and ended up cashing out 200 then 500, kerching!!!

I mentioned ladbrokes as Uther asked if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations of other reputable sites. My experience with ladbrokes has been on the whole pretty good, but i signed up too sky vegas last may and still haven't received the welcome bonus....

Hi Katymae21,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Funny thing... as I was looking through KasinoKing's website I saw Ladbrokes banner had a paypal emblem on it so I checked it out and thought it would be as good a place as any to dip my toe.
Ladbrokes is a household name here in the UK and I have used their high street betting shops many times in the past so I know the company is established and trusted.
I only deposited a small amount (a measly 10) but took advantage of the welcome bonus promotion they have running as well.
I downloaded the software to my pc and decided to try one of their slot machines.
I chose a multi-line machine called Lara Croft Tomb Raider.
I was able to choose how many lines I played and how much to wager per line. I chose to go for 3 lines @ 0.05p per line which I worked out to be 0.15p per spin.
However, the machine started charging me 0.75p per spin.
I'm pretty sure I'm not missing anything here, and 0.05p x 3 definatly = 0.15p, so I have emailed support to ask how they work out their charges. Hopefully I'll get a reply today which I'll report back on later.
In the meantime, does anyone else here use Ladbrokes? Do you know of anything I am missing in my calculations (rake/intrest/etc)? Anyone else have similar or other issues with Ladbrokes?
Thanks & gl at your chosen reels,
Uther.

My first reaction is
Why didn't you take their 50 free, no deposit offer?
You could have tried their games with no risk!

I have no idea what you did on Tomb Raider - but I have NEVER had a problem like that ever with Microgaming slots, so it is probably something you did wrong. 75p is the cost of playing all 15 lines - sounds like you didn't reduce it to three.

It also sounds like you have no experience of playing these type of bonus video slots. I know some people like to play less than max lines, but that increases the variance and I would not recommend doing that if you want to low-roll. You're better off doing maximum lines at 1p/line IMHO.
Now I think Tomb Raider might be one of the very few slots that have a 5p minimum at Ladbrokes; the vast majority are 1p. Unless... are you playing the Flash (no download) version of the casino? I have a feeling most of those versions are 5p minimum or even fixed coin size.
The download version is much better & gives you more betting options.
{Edit after checking} Tomb Raider is 5p minimum in the download casino, but you can just play Bush Telegraph instead - it's exactly the same slot, just with different symbols and is only 1p minimum.

As for experience with Ladbrokes... well I have just a bit!
Apart from when traveling somewhere all day, or being where there's no internet connection, I have played Ladbrokes casino every single day without fail for the last 2+ years! (And on & off before that since 2002)
The reason for that is they have daily promotions for slots and regular promotions for other games which are by far the most generous in the world IMHO. They have lower wagering requirements (WR) on their bonuses than any other casino I've ever known. Anyone who plays casino bonuses and lives in the UK but does not play Ladbrokes must be a little bit mad in my opinion.
Last year I received 3,959 in bonus chips from them.
And before you ask - no I don't work for them! :p
I just genuinely think they are the best casino on the net.

Any more questions, just ask here on the forum - there are loads of people here who will give you great advice!

Hi KasinoKing,
Thanks very much for the response.
Sure, I have no experience playing these slots, but I know, (and I double checked today), that I only set 3 win lines @ 0.05p each and it was definately charging me 0.75p per spin.
As I said in my previous post, I have emailed support and am awaiting their response, so hopefully they might shed some light on it all. Till then I'm not gonna make any accusations cos' I am fully aware that my inexperience may cause me to miss something.
(Please don't think my previous posting was a reflection on your site. I was'nt aiming anything at you, I'm simply trying to get an answer to this issue with Ladbrokes and Tomb Raider)

I did take them up on their free 50 offer, but was far too impatient to wait for them to deposit it into my account lol. And as Ladbrokes are such a well known company here in the UK, I thought it would be safe enough to throw a weak 10 onto the site.
I'll take your advice and look at the slot machine you recommended and play my 1p-a-line games. Maybe make my tenner last a bit longer huh? :D
Oh, and wtg on the bonuses

Thanks again for the input and gl at the reels e1.

The one thing I LOVE about Ladbrokes is the ability to just waltz into the nearest Ladbrokes high street shop and withdraw all my winnings at ant time!
just wish my username wasn't as embarasing, as they always seem to employ very attractive young ladies as cashiers!
Is there any other casino which offers this instant cashout in cash over the counter?

Kasinoking - Haha :laugh:that's really strange because the lack of promos/bonuses is my ONE grumble about Ladrokes. I deposit quite a bit but since the welcome bonus, Ive never had a no deposit bonus from them and until only recently, no free spins either. The latter has improved - but only in the last couple of weeks (Ive been a member for over 2 years) with 5 free spins on Hellboy and free spins on Avalon.

Popstar - Couldn't agree with you more, the fact you can go into a shop and withdraw your winnings is brill.:notworthy

Back to the original casino in question; Sky Vegas

I noticed they have a few new slots so went to get some data for my sites; one new one in particular took my eye - Cash Drop.
It's quite hard to explain how this slot works, but basically each individual position spins to a symbol with a coloured border; 3 or more symbols on a win line pays out, but also if there is a chain of the same colour hexagons on a win-line joining the left to right sides, they explode and more symbols fill in the gaps. Any wins pay again, but at x1 more multiplier!
I've uploaded a short video of it Old / Expired Link.
(Takes a minute or two before it plays properly)

Anyway, I really liked it so deposited 50 to try it for real. I started with 60p spins and it seemed OK, so upped to 1 spins. After 100 spins my bank was still near enough where I started, so I went to 2 spins, then to 4 spins... and hit a biggie!
It started with 5 blue 7's in a straight line (4 are still present in the shot below), but the 4th one was in a colour chain so got blown up. Then more symbols came, it paid out again, and made another colour chain! This blew up again and I ended up with the pay-out below. Note how the 3 blue 7's on 3 different win-lines each paid 10 x 3 = 30 each!

You're probably totally confused by my attempt to explain it, but it's the best I can do.
This slot is awesome... but obviously high variance, so caution is advised!

No reply from Ladbrokes yet, but no matter. I had yet another look at the wager set-up and spotted my rookie mistake, (good call KasinoKing  )
Yep...you guessed it...hitting the wrong button
Guess who feels silly now? :p
I installed the Bush telegraph as you advised KK, (good machine and nice low stakes), and spotted my mistake straight away. Hopefully all I'll need to do now is go ahead and win lol :)

Thanks for all the advice and input folks,
gl at your reels,

Sky Vegas

Hi All,

I head up the SkyVegas.com operations and I would just like to thank you all for your positive (and negative) feedback.

We pride ourselves on good games content and we are constantly trying to get all the best (online and offline) casino games onto our site. We've made some good progress over the last couple of years and I really think we have a good selection of games to match the best online casino's around. But there is still work to be done... so if you would like to suggest any other top games that you think we are missing I will do my best to get them on our site asap.

With regards to promotions - I know ours are not the best right now but we are working on a project that will hopefully address this in the next couple of months. In the meantime, if you would like to recommend some of you of your favorite promotions I'll see what I can do about offering them at skyvegas.com.

Anyway guys - thanks again and all feedback is welcome.

Rgds
John

p.s. what do people think about community slot games - where players can play the same game and participate in the same community bonus feature??
