Simple explanation video on RTP

Anyone playing videopoker, have they different pay tables for same games available (have to say, don't even know who providers have them)?

It's a pretty decent video in fairness, doesn't tell me anything I didn't already know but definitely one to share with other people who aren't as clued up.

Was missing rigged part and some insight how to get advantage about them :(

Dr's examples were made bit too simplified maths but judging by the character in video, it's targeted to kids and understandable it can't be too complicated.

edit: Dunno when this is made, but guess term "medium volatility" have changed a bit, don't think you make average 5.5h sessions with your 200*spin deposit.

Just sounded and looked pretty similar what were watching from different topics as kid quite long ago :) At least in UK probably shouldn't be shown in any gambling sites without age verification :)

I know some don't seem to understand or care about RTP but this shows you how even 1 or 2 % in reduction can change your play and burn a hole in your wallet yet alone poor playtime. This has been very noticeable for me on Videoslots
Also, I have friends that love to play licenced games in land-based casinos and I have told them to stay away from them but they never listened, now that I shared this video with them it has convinced them that after the casinos reopen they will stay clear away.

Yes I made this point in (several!) videos on my channel when VS started dropping to ~94% payouts across the board from ~96%.

Even here on CM quite a few folks were saying 'oh it's only 2% I'll never notice that', and myself and a few others really tried to hammer home the point that the change represents a 50% increase in the house edge (from 4% to 6%) and that is something that absolutely will make itself felt as the play sessions and the number of spins played start to stack up.

Love your Videos always look forward to them.

What worries me if all casinos start to reduce RTP and it becomes the norm then what will stop then to reduce furthermore. This to me is a poor excuse for casinos to do to cover overhead costs. Its greed simple and casinos that using the lower RTP models are robbing their players.

At the moment regulations at least, MGA don't allow under 92%, UKGC do just these 91% versions available. There's also limit what lower RTP don't make more money as people stop playing, everything over 90% is still quite high and people do play when you can win sometimes but making it 60% would make many to stop playing.

2% difference with these volatilities in current slots is quite hard to spot in gameplay (can still make 1000€/£ bet with anyone to spot in blind test one from five slots which is set 94% instead of 96% twice, as one you have 5/1 chance with only luck, when all can be played as many hours willing to do in day) of session or day, but for much longer period of course.

These spin amounts in this video don't really go right with current slots (no idea how old it is but math is bit too simple, could have done better simulated), you can find these different versions and try with playmoney, with these volatilities you don't play average 5.5 hours with a deposit worth of 200 spins (even with 3 sec spins :) )

Lol indeed, last session took me about 45min. to burn through a 300*spin deposit and it felt like standard procedure

Slot providers share the blame for this. They don't have to offer low paying versions of their slots. BTG for example doesn't do it.

I agree and also us as players can spend with the ones that don't currently have different versions.

They need the support of the player who ultimately influences the market.

BTG, Microgaming, Edict, Relax are bringing out a 98% one - I hope they've done a good job. What about Push? Some big hitting games in those portfolios and a lot of fun I've had on all.

I don't miss PlaynGo or Red Tiger that much and if I do I go where it's max.

If you offer a low RTP version of your slot that looks the same as the original higher paying one that players are used to play that's deception in my book. Sure it's written in the help file but everyone knows that 99%+ of slot players won't read it.

What makes it even more evil is casinos were allowed to switch from one high paying version to a lower one that looks exactly the same with the complicity of slot providers.

That's no different than some crook company hiding something really bad in an "updated" 12-page-long privacy policy that no one will ever read. This kind of trickery doesn't hold any weight in a court of law BTW...just throwing that out there.

So many casinos there and many changing or been changing recently that many player do it almost accidentally, not many can say that never play in these places, but people start to remember these more and more when certain group have same everywhere without needing to check T&C:s all the time.

I haven't watched the video yet - and not sure that I will to be honest.

First I can't believe it can take anyone EIGHTEEEN minutes to explain RTP
And second, gamblers are impatient by nature - so I doubt very many others would spend 18 minutes watching it either! :p

The video splash screen/still looks like a design for a new Netent slot.

'Professor Random's Cluster Pays'?

Please, can someone tell me to save me enduring the blimmin' video, does 'Professor Big Plums' or whoever actually spend any time on slot volatility? Because if he doesn't, then the whole thing is pointless. Variance plays a HUGE part in player perception of slot pay-outs. In a few thousands spins on say Dead or Alive 2 you wouldn't notice a slightly reduced RTP. If you played them on a repetitive low-variance shitter like St*rb*rst, it would be obvious quite soon you were giving the house more.

As I said earlier, 'finding looser slots' seems to be the USA myth (or fact?) that lower-house edge ones are put near the doors in casinos. I take it by the technical term 'loose' he means slots that offer the player a higher RTP than others?

I watched some of it and volatility was mentioned. Paraphrasing somewhat, he said that if you had 95 cent paid back for every 1 dollar spin you'd end up with the most boring game ever.

Just curious, not flaming or mentioning fried potatoes cut into certain shapes...
But are you no longer promoting BTG?..
has the mantle been passed to (I’m dying to be honest here but i won’t)
Another person whom is a man whom likes to stream slots.. albeit aweful to look at, cringey and as rogue as a dozen Nigerian emails offering me millions.
