Hi all,

The team at Ruby Royal would like to thank Casinomeister for their initiative in setting up the Haiti Relief fund. On behalf of Ruby Royal staff members, we donated $500 to help those victims in need. We would like to personally thank all those who also donated to the relief fund.

This Friday, 22nd of January, we are offering a $50 free chip for ALL players that deposit $50 or more. For every player that claims this bonus, we will donate $10 to the Casinomeister Haiti relief fund. The bonus will only be available this Friday so log into your Ruby Royal account and lookout for the bonus called $50 FREE HAITI RELIEF.

I will liaise directly with the team at CM and we will announce on Monday the final amount we managed to collect, we are offering this to all our customers, not just Casinomeister members so Im really hoping players will do their bit.

Please PM should you have any questions
Regards

Derek

unfortunately i could only cashout a few hundred ;-)

but the comppoints i could cashout right away.. so ;-)

was just a 25$ deposit, but i have to say if i wouldnt have known i have a max cashout i would have never bet nearly 40$ per spin:p

I wish i had of just sent a money order myself, up 18k, did cashout the 250.00and comps, so cant complain, but i do think 10.00 is pretty cheap of the casino to donate.................laurie

Couldn't agree more LaHutti. I posted something similar in the Well Done EH thread. If a casino wishes to donate to Haiti (or any good cause), they should just out and out make a donation. They should NOT be soliciting deposits, and making a profit off of a tragedy, and other's misery.

Winbig pointed this out...but this is no different than when Virtual Danny sent out those mailers to "commemorate" September 11th, 2001. Calling it the Twin Towers promo. Only difference then is that the casino got 100% of the profits. In this case they're ONLY getting 80%. Either one is scummy IMO, and just so not right. No one has a right to profit off of tragedy, period.

Laurie, I'm glad you cashed out...please don't play it back. I know you've already donated..but maybe when your cashout comes through, you can donate the other $40 anyway? Just a thought, lol.

Oh the potential for comps you had with that bankroll, no slots though:p. Well potential for now is in the past, so congrats but next time work it girl. (See comps below on similar bankroll).

The first screenie shows the comp amount before I converted the $2804.00+ on approx. 1-30-08. Then starting at $0.00 in comps thereafter, generated an additional $2419.00+ before converting on approx. 2-8-08. This run generated over $7000.00 in comps. I did not check but your $178.00 cashed out is probably $178.00 more than I cashed out and there was no max. cashout:oops: (at least not supposed to be, nevermind) ..........Cheers:thumbsup:

You would not have done your bit if there is a profit gained during this exercise. Nevertheless, I understand that you still need to ensure that you wont incur too much of a loss in case the players win. So the honourable thing to do would be to calculate the profits/losses incurred and if you are in the black to donate all profits to Haiti. That way you wont be gaining a cent. Otherwise, other than the $500 you donated initially, you are actually taking advantage of the situation and the title should be changed accordingly. How about "Roby Royal does bite Haiti victims, please chip in".

Im sure Ruby royal and English Harbour meant well by doing these promotions but as stated before if they make just $1 profit for themselves on the back of other peoples suffering then they are really nothing more than scumbags, any and all profit they make SHOULD be donated

So that 18k i won after my playthru of 1500.00 had been met and had to playout, is that considered profit made by the casino? I really dont understand all this , if money won and cant be withdrawn has to be played back down to a cashout point, is this money gained by the casino or lost............just a question and thought?

If it was a normal promo at any other time and you knew the terms beforehand it would just be bad luck that you got your balance up so high only knowing you could cashout so much.

It is a very dodgy area when donations are connected to promotions, and IMO should be avoided by everybody. The people running them and the people taking them up.to many black area's to consider.

As to who gained in your situation, good question ?, i dont have an answer. unless they intend to do the kind thing and donate that 18K to the charity ;).
