[Resolved] Forum message "you quit the forum"

I'm getting this message above each forum:
Hi there Diaz!

You've chosen to quit the forum, so we've closed your account.

Happy trails!

Anyone know what is happening?
 
My best guess is that it's a forum error.
If it persists contact an administrator.

I noticed you were from Reykjavík; home of the Grandmasters!

For some reason you can still post here anyway so if they have closed it and it's been a mistake I'm sure they will fix it again.

Some more info.
I think it started happening after I was in the join permission groups page in my profile; when I tried to ask permission to take part in some group forums.
 
I didn't even think it was possible to quit. I know you can quit gambling, and only access part.

I know you can get booted for breaking forum rules.

I know you can just stop coming and end up dormant.

Chuchu, I assume you are referring to April Fool's. Did I miss a prank CM played with us?
 
Yes you can quit the forum. There are several ways. One way is to contact me and I will close your account, and there are several levels of quitting. If you just want to take a break, I will put you in "on a break" user group which bans you from the forum - and you have the message stated at the top of the page that you are "taking a break". You can also choose "quit gambling" and still participate in the forum via the non-gambling sections (the attic, etc.). Or you can just quit for good, but you'd have to contact me to close out everything on your account so that you don't receive and admin emails, etc.

The On a Break is selectable within your settings. the OP had selected this at one point so that is why he was seeing the message. It is malfunctioning for some reason since he should have seen nothing but that message, so I need to check into this further. Thanks for the heads up.
